I am fully in support of holding Gaia accountable for this.

They responded with the generic: "Try clearing your cache and trying it again."
Sigh, did it just to humor them, still doesn't work. Ticket updated.

Larkadroid They responded with the generic: "Try clearing your cache and trying it again." Sigh, did it just to humor them, still doesn't work. Ticket updated. The problem have to do with the item id I think. For some strange reasons, when they re-release some items in CIs, Bundles or even directly in stores, they tends to create duplicates instead of re-using the same one. The same thing applies with sales; they tends to have a version not on sale and a version on sale in their db. When such a thing happens, you ends up with items which have entirely different thumbnails, marketplace ID (the lil number in the adress url) and most likely some other hidden data. Formulas are most likely using some set data of those items; which ends up being different from the normal and on sale ones. The best thing to do would be for them to edit the formulas and add all the possibilities they ended up having in their database as duplicates to make sure it works with all of them. Another thing they could do is to double check the formulas and have a way to grant someone the right one and remove from their inventory the "broken" one. On the long term, editing the formulas would probably be the best idea.

I provided them with MP links for the sale and regular items and told them it is a known issue in the Alchemy community. I had both the regular and sale items to compare. Sent the items that work to my mule so they aren't on this account while they resolve my ticket. I doubt they will fix it for everyone, but that would be nice.

The funny thing is the fact the only reason I knew about such differences is because some people had items not showing up in their inventory Tektek since it's going by some of these values instead of checking by name xd

I had this issue too. It most definitely has to do with the different item IDs and the formula not recognizing them. But I don't know if Gaia will ever actually do anything about it. I just sucked it up and bought new Dernier*Cri items 'cause they're so slow with responding to tickets, and I don't want to wait months to finish my wings.

I was going to do the same, but then decided it would be interesting to see what they do and how long it takes them. I'm going for wing mastery, not in any hurry as long as monarchs and demonflies are way beyond my budget.

I was in a bit of a rush 'cause I wanted to have Lucifer's Wings before I redeem the Emerald ticket. There wasn't a deadline, but I was impatient. xP I took screencaps of my inventory and the crafting page as evidence, though I don't know if it'll still be valid since it's been a week or so. I guess I'll have to wait until the next pair of wings.

Ended up making a profit due to being able to sell it for just slightly under Store Price aka a lot higher than sale price sweatdrop I was wondering... If once you listed it, if it's "item number" changes to the one that could be usable? Because when you search under one item number, it shows ALL listings of the item, regardless of item number... So if you're searching for them under the Alchemy-usable item number, and buy it under that item number link... Am I making sense? XD

XD I don't think it'll change the ID number into the useable one, but I'll try it out with a mule. Just tested it. Listed one of my sale Sentinel Headplates, bought it with my mule, gifted it back to myself. The ID number is still the same.

Too bad you can't tell before buying if it is the one that works. I didn't want to sell them on the MP as that might cause someone else a problem.

Yeah, that was why I didn't sell mine. I might just sell it back to D*C, but I'm just hanging on to them for now as more evidence.

Issue has been resolved for me.
Ticket said: "I've poked something. Try using the items again. (You may find that they shifted to the end of your inventory, from the front...)"
I checked the item numbers and they changed to the regular ones and went from the top to the bottom of my inventory.
I now have Beelzebub's Wings: Alchemized! I was afraid I'd be waiting for months, only took a few days!
