The Holy Wind Dragoon
Dart Feld

Played By: Nightmare The Blasphemy

User ImageBasic Statistics

Real Name: Dart Feld
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Nationality: Serdian
Race/Species: Endinan/Dragoon
Marital Status: Married, possibly widowed.
Police/Criminal/Legal record: Non-existent
Occupation: Paladin
Title/Rank: Head Paladin (In Endiness)
Hobbies/Pastimes: Sleeping, brooding and writing

Talents/Skills/Powers: On the world of Endinan, the physics and prevalance of magic alter it's people. While it does not make them super-human, Endinan warriors, being stressed by magical forces and day by day combat for survival, are hardened beings far beyond it's common folk whom come to be able to resist greater stresses and injuries than citizens who aren't raised into combat and magical prowess. For a period of time, Dart and his team were stressed in a valley of greatly altered gravitation fluxes, putting both known and unknown releasment and stresses to their training. It's only speculated what's occured here, but from the constant forces and aliments, they clearly grew stronger and more resilient to most and than for a longer period of time they were subjected to gravitational forces around and inside their Moon, no doubt adding to this effect and making them stronger, more reflexive and faster in movement.

Adept in the magics of fire and wind usage, Dart is also a master swordsman, training since youth to master the blade, and can technically use the Red, Divine and Jade Dragoons, but only has access to the Jade Dragoon stone inherited from Albert in the years after the Moon Crisis and the Divine Dragoon Stone was lost in the cataclysm coming upon Endiness prior to him entering the human world, with the Red Dragoon Stone missing and presumed destroyed.

In Dragoon form, his mastery of Wind outweighs Fire due to the Jade Dragoon Stone's influence and in this he is able to fly for extended periods of time and can transform under his own power, but the time is limited due to the carnal nature of the stones. In combat, this time limit extends to his will power to keep the form. Being knocked unconscious or not being forced to act on his heart or adrenaline (ie. the event at hand has passed), will quickly force the form to dissipate.

He cannot transform while not in possession of the stone and because the stone recognizes him, no one else may use the stone unless worthy enough to use it. The power from the Dragoon stone includes mastery and manipulation over the wind, as well as a moderate control in nature, taking the shape of enchanted rose petals moving through the air at his command, materializing and acting as minor shields against all types of attack. At the greatest height of his power, he can summon forth the Jade Dragon to attack his foes, but immediately following, he is left drained.

The Dragoon's Spells takes four shapes:

Wing buster: Dart collects wind energy from within, outside of him and coalesces it into a falcon shape that he ejects from his body, causing an explosion of wind upon impact with it's target.

Rose Storm: Dart summons forth a torrential storm of rose petals to aid him, the wind strong enough to push away and fling most objects not firmly rooted around him except for the heaviest of them (can't fling cars, things like that). The rose petals carry an enchantment that, when they brush upon allies he has chosen, protect beings from truly harmful effects for a limited amount of time. Those under the enchantment can still be harmed, but where as an attack may be fatal or crippling, it is reduced to a minor gash or wound.

Gaspless: Dart once more collects wind energy from around him but then strikes down with it, summoning forth a stream of wind that travels to an intended location ahead of him to summon a small tornado to collect and trap things in it's wake. He then focuses it's force inward, causing the tornado to bulge with it's contents and then violently implode on itself, crushing what's in it with harsh force.

Jade Dragon: The most powerful spell available in the Dragoon's arsenal, Dart is able to summon the very soul of the Jade Dragon, Ferybrand, locked away in the stone he possesses. The Dragon then violently reacts to it's surrounding and gathers highly focused wind and magical might to summon forth a devastating and massive blast of might to whatever is in front of it, destroying everything it's path that can't stand to it's might.
=NOTE=
Due to the nature of this power in this kind of setting, Dart will never use this kind of power until he is absolutely forced to, such as in the cases as a catastrophe that threatens to wipe away the world, as using this in a conventional setting would put a large death toll to it's wake. If he is ever to use this power, it will immediately tap him of all of his strength and force him to return to mortal form.

To remain in the Dragoon State, the stone absorbs magical energy from not only what the Stone has charged, but also magical energy from it's wielder. Without using of the spells available to him, resorting only to hand or sword combat, he has 10-12 turns in this form before he will be forced back to him form. For each spell he uses, two turns are shaved off from his total time, so if he used a spell every turn, he would only have 5-6 turns available to him before being forced into human form. In the case of the Jade Dragoon, to balance issues out, he will be rendered unconscious upon exiting out of his form from using it, unless he used it the very same turn he transformed. If he uses it later than that, he will be rendered unconscious upon exiting the form.

He's lost his best friend, Lavitz, to a psychotic man known as Lloyd who turned out to be connected to The Black Monster and in turn, truly began the quest of righteous strength and revenge. He has had to deal with the loss of his friends and his father greatly along the way and before coming to tis world, he is dealing with the fact that he may have lost not only his wife, but his entire world, both if he never actually stopped the cataclysm and/or cannot return.
How has it affected them? It is created a lot of displaced despair, anger and righteous fury in the desire to return to those he has loved, so much so that he takes it out on those he views as unrighteous in this world in an attempt to innately deal with these emotions and also venting to find a way back.

Spiritual Characteristics

Religion: None (later converts to Christianity)

Background Story: Dart Feld, one of the heroes whom defeated Melbu Frahma at the Moon That Never Sets, was not even a myth or a legend. Few people, if anyone at all, knew the true story that took place in the Moon, and with careful edicts and efforts put into place by Albert upon returning to the throne, most people were never made aware of bigger details, except that the Moon was home to destructive forces and for a brief period, the Dragoons of legend returned to destroy the malicious forces before vanishing. Because of the nature of the people's beliefs and the cultural shock that has taken place from the Moon, each of the Dragoon warriors agreed that the Stones needed to be kept secret and used only at the most necessary of times.

Members such Haschel and Albert wanted the stones to be locked up securely in a vault never to be recorded or disclosed except by word of mouth, so that the power of stones would never be abused outright. The Wingly Meru wanted the stones to dropped towards the bottom of the ocean so that there could be no attempt ever made of this, but Miranda, one of the Princesses and soon to be made Queen in her home-land, wanted to use Emporer Diaz's facility to continue experiments on the stones to facilitate technological and perhaps war-fare advances to prevent such a catastrophe from happening again; specifically wanting Dart's Divine Dragoon Stone, the most powerful stone amongst all of them.

Eventually an agreement had to be reached that each member's stone was their own responsibility and that Fate, as always free, had to hold them responsible. Haschel, Meru and Kongol feared their stones being passed down to those unworthy like Emporer Diaz who used the Lightning Dragoon Haschel possessed for evil means, so they three agreed to cast their stones into the open ocean, never to be seen again. Dart knew the importance of the Divine Dragoon and while he wanted to keep it out of evil hands, he knew he could very well wind up using it himself from the chaotic energies it emanated, so he had Albert lock it away in a vault deep underneath his castle and Albert, feeling that a King should be equal to his people in power and respect, entrusted the Jade Dragoon into Dart's care, of which surprised them both when it allowed him access to it's power.

Miranda, knwing that the White Dragoon originally possessed by Shana was a power of healing, ordered the retrieval of goods and equipment in the now defunk empire that Diaz left behind, using the positive parts to begin engineering salves and cure alls to distribute to survivors of the ordeal, as well as to begin the foundations for, perhaps, advanced weaponry through the originally passive, White Dragon.

As for Dart and Shana, they returned to their homestead in Seles and married each other, giving birth to a son they affectionatelly named Lavitz in the memory of their dead comrade. It was at this same time that rumors started spreading of a "Saint" roaming through Serdia and Albert asked Dart to investigate each claim of where this Saint supposedly was, only to find people in his wake speaking of miracles he was performing for the people, curing blindness, lameness, ridding whole caves of monster infestation and, in one case, even bringing a man known as Surazal back from the dead.

Both Dart and Albert suspected this was the workings of Miranda and interrogated her thouroughly, but not only was the stone still in her possession and under his signature, they were allowed to see that all attempts they currently had made in trying to extra energy from the White Dragoon was limited in proximity to the Dragoon and was exceedingly difficult in resources to procure and far more expensive than any peasant could afford. It was not possible for someone wandering in Serdia to have the technology or power to do these things.

Both Albert and Dart were convicted by these stories and believed them, as such power was beyond even traditional users or white magic and believed it could very well be some kind of Saint or being healing the land. Within the next two years that followed, the Saint went silent and seemingly vanished from Endiness, but his footprints remained, leaving behind growing churches who were praising this Saint whom came with the falling of the Moon from the Heavens and walks among the people as a spirit of love, kindness and healing. To protect founding members of pilgriages to the Moon that the people wanted to undertake, Albert granted military cover for them on the long travels of Dart grew to become a warrior and defender of the holy people, becoming a Paladin and once or twice was called upon to use the Jade Dragoon's power to keep them safe. The use of the Dragoon provoked the people further into worship, believing that if even the Dragoons followed this being's cause, then the Saint truly was greatly just.

This, while it caused Dart joy to be a part of something great, hared his life at home, leaving Shana often alone with their son to raise him. While she never hated for him, albeit was very happy for him, Dart missed much of his growing up. He was eight years old when Dart last saw him and while it was clear his son did love him, there was sure enstrangement in the boy, that he didn't fully know his father and it grieved him. Dart was on the verge of requesting retirement of the Church activities, even considering giving the Stone to a priest for their use or back to Albert, when destruction reared it's head upon them.

Dimensional rips started appearing at the sight of where the Moon used to be, energy forming and being sucked into a pocket of nothingness that was ever growing, pulling up water and rocks from near its wake. Albert called upon Dart's services as fast as he could, knowing that Dart was the only one whom possibly had any power to stop this tremendous force that was coming upon their world. Dart wished for his son and Shana to remain but they refused and he wa sleft with little option to bring them with him, carrying them as he flew quickly to Albert's castle to retrieve the Divine Dragoon Stone. With it in grasp, he and company made for the Moon's site where they faced the dark hole in their skies, sucking the land and ocean, gradually within it's mass.

The only thing Dart could think of to do was to pour all of the Divine Dragoon's power into one, gigantic beam, forcing all of his magical energy into it in an attempt to force the black hole to collapse from the excess of energy being forced into it. However, the exact opposite happened. The hole decreased to half it's size and began to radiate with energy, tearing the fabrics of time and space as the energy continually poured into it. Everyone called for Dart to stop, but he could not. Despite his best efforts, the beam would not relent in pouring energy to the black hole and, in doing so, his form broke apart at the molecular level, his armor and form becoming light particles that increasingly compacted on the Divine Dragoon Stone before it was flung from him and entered the expanse, sundering apart with a sudden, brief and bright explosion.

The size of the hole tripled in size and Dart was caught in it, the image of him fading from crossing the event horizon and he could only look back at the tears of Shana and Lavitz vanishing slowly before his eyes, darkness coming around him as light was bent and sucked into the black hole until he himself was becoming stretched at the atomic level, being split into billions of pieces and thrust into the black hole where death awaited him...

Or so he thought.
