It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon, and the wind was perfect for any kite flyer or bird to soar along the skies.
Or in one Audio's case, fluttering above the ground and falling down. Which was exactly what the adorable fox called Carrie was practicing today.
"Mrr... how can other people fly, and I can't even float!" she grumbled to herself, brushing some leaves from her fur as she fluffed her wings out slowly, fluttering above the ground again before falling face-first into the grass, her tails flumping against her legs in defeat.

Charlamagne decided to visit the realm where she was from. Things back at home were much better, especially after her change. As much as she loved things back at home, she did miss where she came from.
So, walking along, the small Audio enjoyed the sunshine, wings tucked against her back. Despite ascending and gaining the new 'appendages' though, the one thing she couldn't do was fly. It wasn't a big deal though, she wasn't in any rush to learn, especially being acrophobic.
As she walked along, her ears flicked when she heard the hard sound of something crashing to the ground. Blinking, she quickly made her way toward the sound, hoping that no one was hurt.

Each attempt to even get higher than a tree resulted in Carrie falling onto the grass, but she was getting the hang of stopping before hitting the earth too hard.
A few tears started to well up in her eyes as she sat down defeatedly, her paws covering her face as she grumbled and - well actually, instead of grumbling, it was more an unusual noise being muttered by her in succession.
"Jacha-chacha-chacha-chow, chacha-chacha-chacha-chow!" she repeated, stopping as she looked up suddenly, spying another Audio with wings walking towards her. Standing suddenly, she wiped her eyes and looked at her, "H-Hello? C-Can I he-A-hee-ahee ha-heehelp you?" she squeaked, her shoulders twitching when she made her little noise.

Getting closer and seeing the other angelic on the floor, Charlamagne let out a soft 'oh'. Calling out, she hurried over. "Hello... are you alright?"
She was nervous about hurrying over to the stranger, but her concern -especially her new found motherly instincts- beat out any worry or timidness she was having. She stopped though when the other female suddenly stood up, relieved a bit that she didn't seem hurt. Her head did tilt slightly at the sounds she seemed to be making. Any confusion about it quickly left when the other asked if she could help her with something and she stammered, her shyness kicking in. "Oh... well... you see. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you. I heard some heavy thudding and came to check if anyone was hurt." She explained, looking to her feet and poking her two fingers together.

Carrie blushed and smiled, picking more leaves from her fur as she nodded, "A-Ahh no, you aren't bothering me at all! I'm just having a few issues flying... shocking, right?" she said, walking over and extending a hand towards the angelic. "My name's Carrie. What's yours?" she asked, smiling warmly as her wings fluffed and spread out to stretch, her tails more active now as they swished about behind her.

When the hand was extended to her, she smiled softly and took the others hand, shaking it gently. "Hello Carrie. It's nice to meet you. I'm Charlamagne." She greeted her, her own two tails swaying softly behind her. When she had asked if it was shocking that she was having issues flying, she shook her head. "Of course not. I mean... I haven't even yet started to even learn how to use my wings."

Carrie blinked and stared at Charlamange, a little taken back by her confession. Walking around the Audio, she ran her paws lightly over the pair of wings, checking for anything that might have her not flying. "Is there a reason why you haven't learned to fly? I mean, I'm kinda still learning, but... it's like instinct on how to, y'know?" she asked, feeling a little bad for her as she walked back in front of Charlamange, "Maybe I can help! At least to help you float or flutter above the ground to start." Carrie continued, smiling at the other angelic.

Charlamagne blushed and timidly grabbed one of her tails, wings curling against her more as Carrie walked around her. Her wings were fine and perfectly able to fly if she knew how. Her fingers fidgeted with her tail nervously, sort of wishing Laharl was with her now. "Well... I..I guess... it's because I wasn't originally an angelic."

Carrie was taken aback. This was an Audio who had ascended?! She had never met someone like that before, and of all the times for her speech tick to chime in the loudest, now was the time. "Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!" she squeaked, suddenly turning bright red and covering her mouth, turning away as she huffed and squeaked and whined to herself angrily, her tails fluffing and swishing about to match her sudden dislike in herself.

Charl blinked a bit and tilted her head slightly. She was even more confused at the sound that came from Carrie. Although it was odd and random, she thought it was quite endearing.
When Carrie covered her mouth and turned around, Charl frowned and moved around her. "Carrie, are you alright?"

Oooh, that cursed tick, she screamed inside her mind, turning around and waving her hand in dismay towards Charlamagne, smiling sheepishly with her cheeks lightly pink in embarrassment. "F-Fine! Perfectly fine, nothing to be concerned with!" she affirmed to the other Audion, clearing her throat lightly as she stepped towards Charlamagne, "So you ascended instead of being born? No wonder you haven't learned to fly yet, most angelics know that stuff by instinct. W-well... some of them.." she added, looking down shyly as she shuffled her feet against the grass, her wings drooping as if mimicking her sudden insecurity.

Charlamagne wasn't fully convinced that Carrie was alright, she could tell something was bothering her, but at the same time, she wasn't the type to really push the issue. With a sigh, she nodded, "Okay, if you say so."
When she was asked that she had ascended rather than been born, she nodded again. "Yes... instead of being born as an angelic, I became one." Sensing that Carrie was becoming upset again, she placed a hand on her shoulder lightly. "You'll get the hang of it, I'm sure you will."

Carrie blinked, feeling the paw rest on her shoulder as she grinned at Charlamagne, turning and taking her hands in her own as she spun around happily. "I need to get better at flying, and you need to learn how to fly - it's a perfect day so let's try together!" she squeaked happily, her wings already fluttering and starting to lift her and her companion up into the air, "Come on Charlamagne, get your wings flapping and we can start!"

Charl's eyes widened just slightly when Carrie had spun around quickly and took her hand, though she still smiled warmly, both her tails wagging softly.
It was when Carrie started to flap her wings and lift off the ground when she got an uncertain look on her face, pulling her hand away softly. Instead of her wings flapping, they softly wrapped around her. "I don't know... I-I don't think I can."

Carrie fluttered a bit above the ground, watching Charl start to lift off but then set her feet back on the grass and then furl her wings around her, stepping back down and wrapping her in a gentle hug. "Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry. Here I am trying to rush you into something when I should be more supportive." she said, untucking her wings gently as she gave a warm smile, "I tell you what, let's start really slow, okay? We can take it at your pace and we both can work together to fly." she continued, nodding and stepping back to sit down, her tail wrapping around her waist softly.
