In the beginning they were but one pride. A peaceful collaboration of lions, working towards the good of all. It was a quiet life. A fair life.

And then the illness struck...

There are no records, no tally to tell us how many lives were claimed. All we do know is that some did survive. After all, we're here. Their descendents. Living proof of the strength, and perseverance they held. Should we thank them for their survival? Some would... But this life, it is a harsh one. It is a life of war. Because the illness left us changed... Split between two lineage, two mutation. This infection coursing through us... We don't know what it is. Sometimes, I think the sides are more interested in fighting than ever finding the truth... In the end, we may all kill each other before all is revealed.

Two brothers... One bitten by bat, one bitten by wolf, with the infection coursing through them. It caused wildly different results in each of them. One more wild than the other... Both are gone now, but their lines live on... The line of the bat... The Vampire. The line of the wolf... The Lycan. We Vampire like to think we're more... sophisticate than they are. It's often true but, there have been.. incidents. On both sides. The Lycan prove time and again to be more wild however.

Would you believe we once lived somewhat peacefully? Despite the split lineage. If you could call slavery peaceful of course. The Lycan may have been wild but they had they uses. Daylight is not our friend, and they kept our vigil. It was a beneficial relationship for a time. Until one powerful Lycan got the idea to take a Vampire for his bride... This, of course, did not sit well with the Vampiric hierarchy... He was made to watch his bride die. And the Lycan rose up behind his banner.

Generations later, the war rages... even now... all around us... Can you survive?

+King+ Questing- RP Heavy
Leader of the Hierarchy and head of the council, this is a male only rank. The King often worries about attacks not only from the outside but the inside. The Vampires may show a united front but there are many with higher aspirations. Many who want to rule. And only the strongest can.

+Elder+ 0/3 - RP Heavy
Some of the eldest of the vampire's, considered to be the wisest as well as the body of the council, there are always three members, who can be of any gender. They make key decisions about the future of the pride and it's members, and act when the Count is unable to, or unwilling to make a decision.

+Queen+ 0/1 - RP Heavy
Mate to the King, and head of the Death Dealers, the King will take only the strongest for his bride, as not only strategy but tradition. This is a female only rank. It takes a powerful lioness to lead the forces and act as, essentially, General, to the Pride. One devoted to her duty.

+Death Dealer+ Unlimited - RP Light
Main battle force of the Hierarchy, these well-trained soldiers are the most at risk, but also the most prepared to face death on a daily basis. They have full clearance to come and go as they please to complete missions and do their duty, be it escorting the hunters, or seeking out and batting Lycan forces.

+Hunter/ess+ Unlimited - RP Light
Those who gather food for the pride, they are considered valuable to an extent and granted protection to go out gathering when they ask for it. Food is a precious resource and not taken for granted by those too busy to gather it for themselves.




+Alpha+ Questing - RP Heavy
The uncontested leader of the pack, the Lycan are united both on the battlefield and in their den, lacking the political turmoil that the Vampires hold. That respect their leader and he strives to do all he can to help them survive, healthy and free from Vampire rule. This is a male only rank.

+Beta+ 0/2 - RP Heavy
The Betas stand in as Alpha when the Alpha is are not present. They answer to no one but their Alpha, but are expected, as with all members, to show respect to every member of the pack. They also assist the Alpha with any conflicts within the pack and enforce the rules, keeping peace. They act as the Alpha's council, as well as his eyes and ears. One Male, One Female are allowed.

+Delta+ 0/2 - RP Medium
The Beta in training, Delta do not yet have the power that a Beta holds, such as the power to call a Hunt, or to pass the orders of the Alpha. But they hold much respect in the pack and will, eventually, become the Betas when the current step down. They are also charged with keeping the peace. One male and One Female are allowed.

+Sentinel+ Unlimited - RP Light
It's a Sentinel's job to protect the pack from outside forced, be it Vampire or Rogue. They patrol the borders, fending off any attacks, and questioning any stranger who is clearly non-infected to enter the lands. Back at the den they may also deal with breaking up disputes and pack-fights. Any gender may become a Sentinel.

+Elder+ 0/5 - RP Light
An Elder is a wolf with great experience and knowledge of pack. In the past they may have held such high ranks as Alpha and/or Beta. They are sometimes older members who have decided to make the pack their final resting place. An Elder's opinion is greatly respected throughout the pack, being adviser to both Alphas and Betas.

+Hunter+ Unlimited - RP Light
The backbone of the pack, hunters risk their lives to go out into the lands and lay claim to the prey before the Fangs can, bringing back the biggest catches to share with the pack. They are skilled trackers, trappers, and most of all, fighters. Any gender can become a Hunter.
