The long, reptilian bone-like tail thumped against the ground in a steady rhythm as Arthas lounged across the large, warm slab of stone, letting the sun soak into his black fur. Icy blue tendrils of magic washed across him in time with the thumps, an obviously display of his power, scaring off any beast for miles and leaving him to relax in peace and quiet, just how he enjoyed it. He was in no mood to sweet talk and twist minds today, oh no. Today was just for him.

And he was quite content to do absolutely nothing.

It was surprisingly hard work, manipulating others. Work he enjoyed, of course. But one needed a break from time to time. Even from things that one enjoyed. He slowly opened his glowing eyes after a long moment to peer out across the near silent savannah, his fangs showing as a pleased smirk came to his lips. One that fell quickly. Such a good day. He didn't have good days often. Usually something came along to ruin them... But with such a deserted area, there was nothing to do so here.

Somewhere near by, out of sight, his father was having his OWN relaxing time. If Xavier thought Datura was sleeping, he was deeply mistaken. The cub pulled himself up onto a rock, looking around, blue eyes dancing with excitement. He took a deep breath, then jumped off the rock, little paws moving rather fast as he explored.

His explorations soon netted him something he'd not encountered yet - An unrelated god. So far he'd only seen his mother, his brothers, his father, his uncle.. And that was about it. His first encounter with a god not his mother had been rather... Surprising. This one wasn't moving... Much... And seemed to exude power. The dark cub eyed the equally-dark god, before doing something his father definitely couldn't do - He began to float, paddling his short limbs in an effort to move, quietly inching closer to the resting god.

Power... He felt it the second the cub used it... It may be little now but it has potential. And he liked potential. His ears flattened back in annoyance at first, but... The potential...

With a powerful growl, and a heavy swing he rolled himself over onto his back, tail lashing out to wrap around the cub, surprisingly gentle as it pulled the small one in to his massive chest. Large, tattered wings unfurled from where they'd previously been folded at his sides, raising up into the sky and folding over each other to cocoon them both in a cooling shade, only small streaks of light flitting through the remaining holes.

That is, until the magic pulse again and the dark space as lit by the blue magic of his eyes and runes as he peered at the small black cub.

A chuckle left his throat as he studied him, head tilting slowly as he tried to place his lineage. He didn't meet many god cubs... Or other gods. But he'd certainly observed them from afar. This one though, he was familiar with. After all, the curse remover was the one who could negate his power. Interesting... " Hello little one... " He all but purred out with a welcoming smirk. It was almost friendly, though still rather dark. He wasn't a good god in anyone's eyes, but he was terribly charming. Carefully his tail unwrapped from the cub, letting the little one rest on his chest. " You are most definitely far from home. One of your age should not be wandering, hmm? "

Oh he'd gotten too close... That was a definite thing! Datura didn't struggle, though, just frowned with worry in his eyes. And yet... This didn't seem PARTICULARLY dangerous. "Oh... Um... Hullo..." He sat down, watching the glowing here and there. The mark on the other god's left forelimb had him staring, before his long ears flicked up. "Is that a curse mark? I think my dad can remove it for you, if it is..." He only then acknowledged the statement about his age and wandering. His ears went back, smiling sheepishly. "Oh, um... My dad's asleep..." He pointed off in the distance. "Over that hill that way. He, uh... He doesn't know I wandered off..." The bonus about floating was, if he found any danger from a mortal source, he could just float up into a tree and paddle-fly away. If it was another god, his size would allow him to at least squeeze in somewhere smaller until his dad came and body-slammed the other god away.

Another chuckle left his throat as his eyes drifted to the runes trailing down his forearm. " Your father and I are acquainted... The curse is of my own making. It is a mark of my godhood. I have no desire for Xavier to remove it. " He flicked his eyes back down to the cub, head tilting curiously as he sniffed at him. He smelt of earth, and nature. But it was hard to place what he was the future god of. " Have you found your power yet, cub? " He asked curiously.

Slowly, he offered him a smirk once more. " Is it as unfortunate as your fathers and mine? He is born to constantly deal with the curses of others... and, well, I am born to constantly curse others... What are you born to do? "

Though he shaped his own godhood, better to put it in a way that it seemed not at all his fault. He quite enjoyed what he did but the little one didn't need to know that... yet.

His ears flicked as he listened, watching the runes. Why would anybody not want a curse removed? It seemed... Odd. Not that he'd seen his father remove any yet, though... Datura didn't question, though, how this other god knew his father. Xavier HAD stated that he'd been reborn MANY times, and ran into many gods repeatedly over multiple lives, and some didn't get reborn nearly as often, so their memory of him was still much the same on who he was and what he did.

The cub reached up, lifting one of the flowers that hung from his neck - A datura flower, from which he was named. "Poisonous plants!" He made him smile. Like his uncle, it wasn't a positive or negative domain. It was, comparatively, neutral. There was no direct darkness that could be seen in it, although many flowers and plants could be deceptively quite beautiful... And very toxic.
