Kadryn sat on Leirs, her brognah mount, with Chu Lin in his smaller form sitting behind her. She, after going insane from inactivity, had told Kirosh she was going into the village to ... do something. Pick up new spices, ingredients... a book... Get out, see people. Maybe find a pet or something.
Kirosh happily agreed. Anything to get her out of the house and blow off some energy.. she'd already rearranged the furniture three times! He smiled as he saw her finally relax and the wrinkles that had started to form between her eyes smooth out. She must not like being cooped up anymore than I do. It's fine if you can leave and go out and hunt.. but not being able to do that was stressful for her.
"I'll leave you a little before the town." He said. Kadryn turned to give him a quizzical look.
"Why?"
"Well.. " He sighed and then smirked. "Pregnant Orderite entering town with an Oblivionite? I thought you were tying to not get banished!"
"Oh... Oh!" Kadryn flushed a little then laughed. "I've just gotten to used to entering and leaving places with you by my side.. the Wild Tribe's very welcoming.." She sighed. "That kinda ruins the fun...."
He brought his hastar up along side her and leaned over to kiss her check. "I'l try sneaking after you and see if I can do it in a way with no one noticing I'm stalking you."
She wrinkled her nose at him. "Really? Well.. if it amuses you..."
Good to his word, Kirosh banished soon after and Kadryn was left to wander into town by herself. They would have stopped her because of her mount, after all Borgnah's are animals that eat children when they can.. but because see was pregnant, they figured that it was there to keep her safe.

Eanah hadn't ever spent but a brief stretch of time on Ayr, so it felt a bit odd to be strolling through its main port city now, her light cloak gathered strategically to hide her burgeoning pregnancy. She and Leyn had arrived on the continent earlier that morning, chasing stories of powerful artifacts and intending to spend some precious time alone before their lives changed forever. Eanah had hoped to be off already, searching the rocks for the components necessary to assemble the protective weapons, but Leyn insisted they take their time and rest in town. His concern for her and their baby was touching, really it was, but dwelling on his devotion didn't help her to feel any less antsy.
"Would you like to sit down anywhere?" he asked. "There's a bakery just up ahead if you wanted to..."
"I'm fine, Leyn. I promise." She smiled and pat distractedly at his arm, her gaze caught by a window display full of dainty handbags. "I'd rather go look at..."
Just as the handbags had pulled her attention from the pastries, so did the borgnah pull her from the handbags. Her first thoughts with regard to such an animal in the city were rather disparaging, but when she saw who was riding the creature, she gave Leyn's arm an excited tap before pulling away, hurrying closer to Kadryn and the animal that probably could have taken her arm off if it chose.
"Eanah, wait!"
"Kadryn!" she said breathily, stopping within feet of the borgnah as her cloak fell open and billowed around her. She looked her old friend up and down, her empty eyes settling on the other young woman's stomach as her smile grew wider. "You're... you're pregnant!"

Kadryn was putting the box of spices she'd just purchased onto Leirs back when she heard her name being called. She gave a happy grin and waved when she spotted Eanah trotting up. "Hi Eanah!" She gave a chuckle and patted her rather large stomach. "Yeah.. I'm about 5 months right now." She eyed her friend. "And unless you've been eating too much pastries lately... You too?" Her eyes flashed to the man that'd followed Eanah: an older Oblivionite but too much older. Was this Eanah's lover or husband?

Noticing that her cloak wasn't as carefully draped as it had been before her approach, Eanah grew a bit flustered as she gathered it close to her body once more.
"I... um... yes," she said with an airy chuckle. "Yes, I... we... are going to have a baby." The Oblivionite's usual composure was significantly reduced in the face of this development, and it showed. Eanah was already wildly out of her element when it came to the prospect of motherhood, and it didn't help that the child had been about as far from planned as a baby could get. She was anxious in a way that couldn't be soothed by study or sparring, so she stuttered and fidgeted instead. "Due a little after you, I would guess. But, yes. A baby."
She cradled her stomach for a moment under her cloak, sucking in a short, surprised breath as Leyn rested a hand on her shoulder. He had slowed his pursuit when he saw that Eanah wasn't in any danger, and he smiled faintly as he finally stopped advancing, an indescribable mirth in his expression that suggested he was quite curious about her Orderite acquaintance, but too polite to question either of them. Eanah turned to glance over her shoulder, the smile that had faded during the uncomfortable introduction of her future child making a vibrant return.
"This is Leyn," she said as she faced Kadryn again. "He's my..." She paused for a moment, unsure of what to call him. All these years and she'd never had to refer to him as anything more than a friend or tutor. "...Leyn. He's just Leyn."
"Your Leyn, hm? I'll have to remember that." He extended a hand to the Orderite as Eanah nudged him playfully. "I am honored to meet someone else who knows the pain of Eanah's company."robot kitten NEVER SORRY <3 as long as you don't mind my word-vomit XD

Kadryn gave a big grin as she listened to her old friend. She could understand the fidgeting and slight nervousness! Plus introducing the man.. oh! I should have her meet Kirosh! Though.. outside of town. Eanah was her friend: why shouldn't she introduce her husband? The public wouldn't understand a mix race marriage, at least not most of them: but friends were different! "I'm Kadryn." She said as she shook his hand. "My husband's Kirosh and he's.. lurking about somewhere. And it's not a pain at all!" She said with a wink at Eanah. "I enjoy being with Eanah! Don't run into her often enough. She puts up with some of my messier ideas!" Like the paint fight from when they were kids. It looked like these two were quiet happy together, good for her! She thought. Eanah needs more happy things since she's so serious. "This is Leirs." She said as she patted her curious Borgnah. "I normally can't take hm into town, but apparently being pregnant gets me more leeway!"

"Is that so?" Leyn said, glancing in Eanah's direction with a grin. "Messy ideas?"
"Don't make more of it than it was," she replied with a smirk of her own. "We were children." Eanah rested a hand on Leyn's arm once he had completed his shake, a clear indication that she wished for him to drop the subject. Too bad he wasn't listening.
"But it sounds so... adorable," he said, chuckling when she swatted him lightly. "All right. Yes. Fine. I'll stop." Leyn patted her hand. "In fact, I'll leave you alone to catch up for a minute. Be right back."
Eanah watched him go for a moment, then turned back to Kadryn and... Leirs... apparently. "Yes... I..." She wasn't afraid of the Borgnah or anything, she just had never thought to ride one. Maybe she should entertain the idea. "He's very impressive! I wasn't aware they could be trained like this."

Kadryn smiled at her friend's banter then the smile turned to a grin as the conversation turned to Leirs. "I didn't either! But then I ran into some that had gotten into Serenia somehow... they were so hard to track! Intelligent... I figured if it was intelligent.. why not?" She reached over to give Liers a rub, his 8 amber eyes narrowed in happiness as he settled down to the ground since this seemed like it was going to take a while. "Took several tries and the help of a trainer."
