I figured it might be in our best interests to watch what the Nyx groupies are doing. Not only to get ideas for fun stuff to do, like our posters, but also because it would be good to have an idea of what we are up against on the horizon.
"Enemy" might be a bit of a heavy word for them, especially because I would consider many of these people my friends, but I figure it fits in with our purpose here as Champions of Gaia.

Has a Gaia account here. I'm not sure if this is a role play account or if it's their guild mule. He's also in charge of the The Outcase God Fanthread's guild.
No official [NPC] account as of yet.
Two items exist relating to Nyx.
Holiday Spirits are afraid of his power.
Exiled by Gaia, herself for defying her laws
Luca is trying to summon Nyx.
We should attempt to regularly update this with known knowlege about Nyx. We must discover more about the reasons behind his exile. It may shine a light on why he is so powerful and why all but Gaia (and possibly Gino) can overpower him. Knowlege will be an important tool for us.

FanthreadGuildBased on their propaganda posters, it can be postulated that they separate into three main groups.  "The Spyring"Leader: Yeata Zi Purpose: Spying? Comments: I can see the advantage of having a group of spies to gather information, but I'm not really sure what all they would even do. Have any ideas? "The Army of Darkness"Leader: Qyp Purpose: ? Comments: I'm not overly sure what an army would do. "The Priesthood"Leader: Slick Southpaw. Nyx Bishop? Purpose: Cult stuff? Comments: Religious fanatics in the cult. This makes the most sense. Bonus:
Ministry of PropagandaLeader: Bowie-Spawan? Purpose: Make ballin' propaganda images. Comments: So ballin. I can't speculate into the purpose of these three groups much other than what the name suggests. It would be advantageous for us to figure out who leads each group and what sort of role they play. If you have any ideas, please share them.

Okay so the Gaia account is just their guild mule and role-play account from the looks of things. The Twitter is their version of the official Gaia run President Diedrich Twitter out there (By the by has he been updating that thing lately).
The spies seem to be run by Yeata Zi from the look of things. She's been the only one with the spies poster in her signature space.
I don't know who heads their army because I've seen both posters in Slick's signature space before he stuck to being their "bishop".
And this is exactly why I was talking about "uniforms" and colors and whatnot because they have suggested looks for their followers to use for different types of follower.

I agree about us trying to not be one step behind them. Part of the problem is I am definitely not any kind of pencil and paper artist and there doesn't seem to be anyone in the guild with that skill as well. So those kind of things we're definitely way behind them on. We really do need to have something that's definitely our own here to set us apart from the other side. I know we have casimir trees and airships but I do think there needs to be something more. We're not getting people to want to join the guild anymore and that worries me because right now we only have maybe six or seven active posters in here. From day one when I purchased this place it's been struggling and I really don't want to see it struggle.

I am not going to lie. We are not going to be as grand or done up like them. We do not have the people, funds, or the fanaticism they have.Plus, they are more experienced at this thing. Zi is great at what she has does because she has been doing it for years. Also, having different sections of members is not new. ECorp, that is my go to because I love it and it has been around for awhile, has their members set up into three groups and three jobs. You have Bani, Chickies, and Rabbots. There is also a goat, me. whee Then they have Militant, Artist, and donors. I forget what they call the last two. The militant ones are for posting and the others explain themselves. Going off that model you could have nursery workers, they tend to the trees. You Navy or Airforce, those with ships that do the fighting. And lastly, the rest I guess would be followers. I do not know what to call them.

I think our best bet is to make this guild more accessible from the GCD thread (Like, first post, huge letters "JOIN OUR GUILD"), and to do a bit of a revamp in here. There are so many threads and it is a little confusing. If we take all the old, inactive 2010 threads, and put them in the archive forum, this would be a great start. If we then, maybe rearrange the forums in here a little bit, I think it could be a good thing and it might make people want to join. RPs are good, but I think we need to move away from that being this guild's focus. I think we should still have a strong element of role play, but maybe we should consolidate some of the role play forums (Maybe have one role play and one characters forum). One of the best parts about this group is people's Ships and trees, so it might be a good idea to make a forum dedicated to showing off your airship and casimir tree. Each person could make their own thread where they talk about their ship's mythology and working. It would also be somewhat more organized than our current airship list, and would give members, again, a reason to post and be active. I also think we should consider making this guild private, or even hidden to add some mystery to it. From here we will get folks who want to join simply because they don't know what's going on in here. Then we need to come up with reasons for people to want to participate in the guild. This could be by doing giveaways (which we don't currently have the funds for) or maybe even setting up our own sort of mission list or quest list where we send members after specific information. We could see if they could try to interview members of our rival guild, or maybe even NPCs related to the air ship saga (if they ever post again). The key to keeping a plot guild running smoothly, I have found, is to give your members something to do. If we offer this quest thing, we might even get members wanting to join just so they can participate. The absolute best way to gain members, I have found, is to make big event threads where you give away a ton of nice stuff! So as long as we start work now on an event thread we should be alright. I've been running the D-Party event threads pretty well, so I can help with this a lot. Hooooo, that's a lot of stuff I just typed. I'm just trying to come up with ideas to make the good guy group better.

I do need to do a little bit of clean up in the main forum to make things more cohesive. I just would love to see a hell of a lot more activity in here for starters.
