Oliver wandered about the vast front yard of his mother's Gaian home. Lately he had been spending a good deal of time at Kami's first house, as opposed to their apartment back near the D-Corp complex. The travel between both had been tedious, but a certain special someone named Grimm, his mother had said, had made travel between the two much easier with the use of his odd powers. Oliver would consider it further later, having much to worry about at the moment. It seemed he would be meeting a new friend today, hopefully. He waited out front eagerly, eyeing the dirt road that lead away from Kami's large, secluded home.

Donat toddled alongside his father, holding Kumoru's hand willingly enough, but still insisting on walking on all fours as well as he could. As a result, by the time he and the mage reached the new house, the boy was quite thoroughly dusty from leaning down to put his hand on the ground, and Kumoru was had large marks of pale dust on his deep navy robes to match.
With a longsuffering sigh, Kumoru reminded himself that dirt was part of parenting, and that, with any luck, its presence on his clothing would not reflect poorly on him at all but merely mark him as a parent.
The goat's eyes lit up as he saw someone waiting in the yard ahead who looked about his size. So this must be why Kumoru had brought him here! For meetings~

Oliver, silly creature he was, had rushed in and out of the house several times when he'd spotted the pair at a distance, and now Kami had emerged as well to meet the two. Her home was large, to accomodate the many creatures she liked to keep, and her home seemed to be the only one around on the large property. There was a small yard in front, but in the back and other sides stretched several grassy fields, all of which was surrounded by forest. Much of the road the two had traversed had been surrounded by the wood as well. It was perfect for the large creatures that Oliver's mother liked to keep around.
Kami waved as they reached the house, wearing a friendly smile. "Good afternoon! Glad you could make it, Kumoru!" she said, patting Oliver as he hid halfway behind her, peering out at the goat boy. She had only talked to the other caretaker over the phone, and he looked as nice as he had sounded.
Oliver watched the other youngster, and managed a little smile. He was little, like him, which was good. There were too many older children living in his mother's house, and they tended to hold little interest in him. He lifted a hand, dark-tipped fingers wiggling as he gave a small wave. "Hullo!"

Releasing his hold on Kumoru's hand, Donat bounded forward to meet the other little boy. He was not quite sure how to voice a greeting, but the wave seemed to work, so the goat mimicked it, grinning.
"Very nice to meet you," Kumoru replied to Kami, brushing dust off of his hand on his robes before tucking both hands into the opposite sleeves of his robes and bowing slightly. "And thank you for giving me reason to get out of the house today. Some of the other young ones were being far too rowdy, so I stuck a babysitter with them for a bit. And I think Donat wanted the fresh air today, too." He smiled faintly as he watched the boy return to all fours once he was on the grass. Wonderful, there would be dust /and/ grass stains to wash out now.

Kami chuckled softly, and bowed back, watching the little boy with gentle interest. It seemed that every hybrid youngster she got to meet or see was cuter than the last(though none were as adorable to her as her little Olly). He was a goat, she could see, and what brilliant blue eyes he had. "It's very nice to meet you, and Donat as well. I hope your trip here was alright?" she smiled lightly. "They'll be able to run about all they wish out here."
Olly gave the little goat a smile. He was taken with the other little one as well, though he was very different from Sahra, his other playmate. "I'm Olly. What's your name?" he inquired, sitting down to be more on Donat's level, as the boy walked on all fours. The posture wasn't alien to him at all, and he remembered when he'd enjoyed walking that way. He'd only switched because many things were done easier on two legs, such as reaching the food on high counters, or pulling toys down from shelves.

"Alright, but dirty," the mage replied with a slight laugh, leaning down to try to pat some of the dust off of his clothes. "Is it difficult to get them into the habit of walking on two legs?"
Donat rubbed a grubby hand on his pants, then chewed thoughtfully on the tip of his dark finger, sitting back on his heels as he did so. He had done a little talking, but not too terribly much yet; still, he was pretty confident that he knew what information was required here.
"I'm Donat," he told Olly softly, with a shy smile.

Kami chuckled softly, looking apologetic. "Sorry about that road. It can get pretty dusty sometimes." she turned to watch the youngsters introduce themselves to each other. "No, I wouldn't think so. Olly used to like to do that too. He learned how to stand and walk on his own, pretty much, when he realized he could reach things by doing so." she said with a chuckle.
Olly smiled widely. "Good to meet you." he said softly back, ears flickering, not knowing exactly what to say. "Here to play?" he finally managed, watching the young goat. "Whatcha wanna do?" he was lightly nervous, and didn't realize the little one wasn't so eloquent with words yet.

Kumoru shook his head, laughing a little. "Oh, it is quite alright. Dirt happens, especially with children. I just did not think Donat would be quite so enthusiastic about getting into it." He narrowed his eyes and gave the goat-boy a mock-devious glance. "I will just drop him in a bath as soon as we get home...."
Oblivious to his father's shady plots involving water and suds, Donat studied Olly for a moment, then brushed his fingers through the grass. He wanted to look around and explore and maybe get even dirtier if he had to, but could not fit all that into words. Instead, he settled on crawling a few feet through the grass, then glancing back at Olly. "Follow?" he asked after a moment, and grinned hopefully.

Kami laughed softly as well. "I know what you mean." She knew it, Olly was coming to like being outside more and more, now that he had access to a place that was full of nature, and dirt. She chuckled again at Kumoru's plan. "I'm sure he'll love that." she said, playfully sarcastic.
There would definitely be plenty of places to explore, and run around, if they wanted. Olly nodded, and dropped down to all fours to follow the young goat, having no qualms over returning to that mode of carrying himself. It would be better because he could be on Donat's level, anyway.

"Considering my other two at home, Donat should be the easiest child to bathe," Kumoru said with a slight laugh. "He does not really seem to complain about anything I have him do, though I suppose the goat in him would simplify getting him to eat vegetables at dinner."
There, Olly had the right idea. So much easier on four legs, no matter what Daddy told him. Turning back to the unexplored realm of the yard ahead of him, Donat started creeping ahead again. Not fast in any way, of course, just a leisurely sort of pace, to take in all the surroundings.

"Yeah, same with Olly. He doesn't mind eatting green food at all." she chuckled. "He doesn't like baths though. Silly boy....I can't figure out why." she smiled as she watched them wander off, not too worried. Her homes was a safe place, and there weren't any dangerous wild animals in the local forest. Several creatures made sure of that, and kept everything safe.
Olly liked both ways, though uprightness was very useful inside. He followed alongside the young goat, slightly behind. Only the grass in the front was trimmed at all, beyond that it was a good deal longer, perhaps going up to Kumoru or Kami's knee. Olly seemed quite content with this, and he liked Donat's quiet disposition.

"I guess we all have our little quirks like that. Most of us just sort of... lose all the dirtier ones as we grow up." Kumoru kept an eye on the pair to make sure they got along alright. More out of personal worry than anything else, though. Donat looked fine.
The goat happily burrowed his way through the taller grass, rather enjoying how it hid him. He hopped around in it experimentally a few times, too, before turning back towards Olly and crouching in the grass. Idly, Donat chewed on a few stalks of it and watched his friend.

"Indeed." Kami agreed, watching as well, interested to watch. She hadn't gotten to watch when Olly had played with Sahra, but then again, that had been inside. Oliver had told her several times now that he enjoyed being out in the open, and he was coming to like the forest as well.
Olly giggled softly as he followed, the grass feeling tickly to him. He wiggled after the little goat, watching with wide eyes as he leapt. Curious, Olly tried to mimic the movements. He was a little clumsy at first, but he managed. He stopped as Donat did, facing him. He was tempted to nibble as well, licking his lips lightly.

"Glad Donat seems to like being out and about, though." Kumoru took a few slow steps in the general direction the two boys had headed, watching them rustle around in the grass. "We shall have to invite you and Olly over to our home sometime, too, so they can explore there, too."
A few blades of grass sticking out of his mouth, Donat sat up a little again to look over the top of the grass at the nearby house. "Olly's home?" he asked with a curious look in his eyes, pointing at the place with one hand while ripping up a bit more of the lawn with the other.

Kami nodded, and smiled cheerfully, following him. It was always good to supervise, no matter how safe you thought a kid was. "That would be wonderful. Olly's never been to a friend's house yet." she liked the idea. Olly needed more new experiences in his life.
Olly startled to nibble a few himself, crouched contentedly. At the question, he nodded. "Yup. That's where Olly lives." he said, smiling lightly. He lay belly down in the grass, happy and relaxed. "Wanna play a game?"
