The Courtyard
The courtyard of Castellum Argentus is a broadly sweeping square enclosed by high walls. At the east end, a gated drawbridge leads out over a moat to protect the castle from attack during times of war. At the west end, giant doors top a short flight of stone steps, leading into the castle proper. To the north the forge and fires of a smithy can be seen. To the south the doors to the stables stand. The central portion of the courtyard contains a gurgling fountain, depicting birds, animals, and flowers of the forest dancing in a shower of water. One corner of the courtyard is roped off as a sparring spot for combat practice. Another area is set up for target archery. Several trees dot the open space, with benches beneath them for resting on.

Roleplay Session
Session Plot: Some of the fey out in the courtyard... Rosa grows up!
Participants:Rosa, Filix, Muris, and Alces.
Rosa walked gracefully down the courtyard paths, letting the cool air of the afternoon drift about her without much annoyance. She was in a goodmood today, glad that she had a nice, non threatening conversation with another fey. "Muris? Are you coming?" She asked, looking behind her. Obviously, she was searching for a paticular girl. She had made it a point that her posture was especially perfect this time, and wastrying to look the picture image of a ladylike.. lady. All things considered, she was doing quite well.

Muris scampered along behind Rosa, not even in the slightest attempting the same pretence to ladylike posture as the older Fey. She'd done a wonderful job a minute ago with the book on her head, but she was pretty sure that Rosa hadn't told her to try it again yet, so she was waiting for whatever test the Rose fey was going to give her.
"I'm right behind you!" she twirled cheerfully, her bare feet making little circles in the dirt.

Rosa turned around, looking back at Muris a contorted look of... well, just generally contorted graced over her once ideal lady image. "Muris, dear.. dont.. well.. You shouldent.. Muris your getting dirty.." She more or less whined, before her face paled completely. She looked rather ghostly, her mouth dropped open and a sound seemed caught in her throat as she started sinking to her needs, "Mu.. Mu.." Whatever she intended to stay was muffled and overpowered by a loud noise conjured purely of agony, while a strage seeping blue light began to seep from her and ingulf her.

Muris' eyes grew very wide indeed. She hadn't realized that twirling around in the grass could have such disastrous results!
"Lady Rosa!" she cried out, rushing over to the other,
"Lady Rosa, I'm sorry!"
Tears fell from her eyes despite her attempts to act grown-up around Rosa,
"Please, I'm sorry!"
She would never ever twirl again if it meant that Lady Rosa would be okay..

The light fully envelopes Rosa, the pain tearing through her as the unnatural aging process wrenches her teenage body forward through it's development at a pace too rapid to be painless. The light grows blinding, then all at once it is gone, leaving an utterly stunning woman where once the teen Fey was, exhausted from the transformation, but whole.

Rosa was left hunched over, sitting in the dirt she dearly despised. "Why.. why is that always happening?!" She growled to nothing in paticular. "That had -better- be the last time.. Oh, Muris.." she cried, looking at the little girl and holding up her arms as if she wanted the girl to come hug her. "I don't want that to happen again! ... My entire.." She only then seemed to register that her body had.. changed.. once again. Her precious, coveted body, had again.. changed.

Alces just happened to be walking through the courtyard at that moment. On his way back to his chambers to read or something else of that sort. Something caught his attention however. A light that he knew wasn't usually there. The boy jogged over there and frowned when he saw Muris crying and was about to ask what was wrong until he took a closer look. "Muri what's wr...."
At first he seemed unable to speak as he eyed Rosa until he said rather quietly, "Lady...Lady Rosa?"

Muris gaped openly at Rosa as she watched the transformation, and then moved instinctively forward to hug the older woman as Rosa held out her arms, despite her misgivings about the process in general and everything going on.
Rosa'd been so nice to her, there was no way she was going to let her down now,
"L-lady...Rosa..y-you're..even...even prettier!"
She said in an attempt to comfort the other a little bit.

Rosa paused, before she closed her eyes and buried her head into the little girls shoulder, "Nice of you to say.." She whimpered, deciding to milk this situation for what it was worth - especially now that she was gathering a 'crowd.' "Alces!" She squeeked, sounding even more pathetic then before. "It happened again!" She mutterd pathetically.

Muris turned her tear-streaked face to look at Alces,
"There was this horrible light and Rosa was all hurty and now she's even prettier but it looked awful!" she cried, hugging the other girl tightly,
"And I promise I'll never twirl around again, because I don't ever want you to be all hurty like that again!"

After looking around a bit Alces moved over towards Rosa's otherside and went to kneel down next to the other two. "Are you all right Lady Rosa?" He made himself sound worried, and this time, he was for the most part. He remembered how uncomfortable the transformations could be. Alces then went to give the young woman a light comforting pat on the back. "Are you dizzy? Do you need to lay down?" He looked at Muris and gave her a small smile as he pulled his hand back and went to rest it in his lap with the other one. "It's a good thing you were here so she wasn't alone."

Filix wandered into the courtyard, humming and peering around corners as she went. Ever since the incident with Rosa and Alces before, Filix had decided that it was a good idea to avoid her sister until the other had plenty of time to forget.
But she had never expected to peer around the corner, and see Rosa grown up.
Filix crossed her arms, scowling slightly at her younger sister. Who wasn't the youngest right now... She waved idly at Muris and Alces, her eyes still locked on Rosa.

Rosa shook her head "No, Muris.. It wasent your twirling, that just happens to us, sometimes. I think Iv'e had the last of mine. I.. I pity you, though.." She said, looking up as she went to run her finger under the girls chin. "Ill be fine. With some rest ill be fine. No, Alces. Im fine." She repeated, leaning back from them a moment - oddly for Rosa she wanted to catch a breath without being fauned over, this most likely because she was truthfully hurting rather then her normal.. routine..

Muris nodded, letting Rosa go though she was still rather shocked by the whole thing. She'd never expected her day of learning to be ladylike to end up like -this-, definitely! And she was pretty frightened that the same thing would happen to her.
"Is...is that gonna happen t'me?" she forgot all her efforts to make sure she finished her words properly,
"Just...just like that?"
