There was a rumor floating around the sith about a new member of their little pride. When she first heard about the rumor she had brushed it off. The other pride members would say any lie to upset her and at first that was what she thought this rumor was. A way for the other pride members to embarrass her. However it wasn't until Eiyani had confronted her that she started to think that the rumor was true.

What she had heard upon returning to the pride was that Lord Majanga's son had arrived to the pride.

The idea of Majanga with another female caused her fur to stand on edge. She was certain that he was hers and hers alone. But it seemed that before she even knew about him that he had a fling with some tramp. He had never mentioned another female in his life, so this came as a bit of a shock for Daiyu. However she was confident that this wouldn't affect her feelings toward Majanga. If anything it would make her desire to make him happy that much more.

She would talk to him about it, to make sure that everything between them was alright. No one would get between them. No past flings and no sons.

As she walked toward his den, someone walk right into her and she fell backwards. She was about to apologize when she was interrupted.

Izrail was lost in his own thoughts. Ever since he had arrived in his father's pride he had felt lost. His whole life he felt like an outcast, but now it was worse. Not only was he an outcast, but he was a disappointment. He was nothing like his father. And he didn't want to be like his father. However everyone in the pride expected him to be a strong lion and a leader.

He wanted to be a strong lion, especially while he was taking care of his mother. When she was sick he did everything he could to take care of her. But there was only to much he could do to take care of her. If he had been stronger maybe she would have been able to live longer.

As he thought about it, he didn't notice the cheetah who walked in front of him. When he stumbled into her, he knocked her over. He was able to catch himself before falling over. “I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there. Please don't hurt me.” He said quickly, flinching away from her. Everyone in the pride had tried to strike him at some point or another, usually over nothing. Something like this would be a usual reason to beat him. The fact that she was a cheetah, who was much smaller then him didn't help the fact.

Daiyu got herself up, her eyes watching the strange lion. He was new, yet his markings were eerily similar to those she had seen before. Majanga had similar markings on his front paws. Could this lion be Lord Majanga's son? Their similarities ended with the markings, Daiyu quickly realized. Lord Majanga would never be afraid of someone striking him. No one in the pride would dare touch him.

“I'm not going to hurt you.” She said quickly. Really she was the last person who would attack another member of the pride. The only way she would attack was if someone insulted Majanga.

“You're new around here.” She stated, watching him carefully. She didn't want to get on his bad side if he was Majanga's son. When she learned about him she thought he would be younger. He didn't seem much younger then her... “I'm Daiyu.” If he was Majanga's son, he would know who she was. There was no way Majanga wouldn't mention her. He was her everything.

Izrail let out a sigh of relief. At least there was someone in the pride who wasn't ready to strike him. Though it seemed clear why she didn't strike. She didn't know who he was. “I am Izrail. My father is Majanga.” He tucked his tail between his legs. There was no reason to lie to her. She was bond to find out sooner then later. It was better for her to hate him now and get over with the insults then have it done later.

“I'm sorry that I walked into you. I need to be sure to watch where I am going better.” He apologized again. Her name was Daiyu, he would be sure to remember that.

As she thought, he was Majanga's son. The fur on her tail stood up as she watched him. How she felt annoyed by his very existence. He was proof of Lord Majanga's unfaithful to her. Even if he did have Izrail before they met. It just meant that he had been with someone who was not her. He had feelings for someone who was not her. It was frustrating to even think about.

She could hardly look at the young lion without getting sick. However she reminded herself that she needed to play nice. He might be a thorn in her side right now, but he was still Lord Majanga's son and needed to be respected. She held back her pride.

“No need to apologize. It happens sometimes. I'm not hurt, so no harm done.” Daiyu said. “How long have you been here? I have been away on a mission. Lord Majanga hasn't mentioned you to me, so I'm afraid I wasn't aware of your arrival till now.” Though everyone was sure to inform her again and again of his existence. She just ignored them. It was difficult to ignore what was in front of you though.

It wasn't too surprising that his father failed to mention him. Izrail was not the type of lion that Majanga wanted as his heir. As far as Izrail knew, he was the only offspring of Majanga. “He doesn't talk too much about me.” His ears folded back. The first pride member he met was the type Majanga would be proud of. N'uul was strong and serious. He was prepared to do what Majanga wanted without question. Izrail knew he would never be like that.

“I am on my way to talk with my father right now.” He added, feeling that his father was bond to scold him again. They had never had a real bonding conversation. Most of the time Majanga was upset with him. This time wasn't any different.

When he said that he was going to talk to Majanga, Daiyu heart felt like it was going to stop. He had summoned her as well. She assumed it was to comfort her in her time of need. However if his son was also attending, then it could something bad. Did he want to introduce them personally to insure no hard feelings were had? She didn't understand why he wouldn't just talk to her first about it. It wasn't like her relationship with Majanga would affect his son's life. His son coming into their lives was the thing the affected them.

“I am also on my way to Lord Majanga. Perhaps we can walk together?” she suggested. He gave a quiet nod and they started to walk toward Majanga's den. Her mind was raising as she tried to figure out what exactly Majanga wanted from them.

The walk to his father's den was awkward and silent. He wasn't sure what to say. Daiyu seemed to be lost in her thoughts. As long as he didn't insult her, he felt like he would be fine. They reached the den. Majanga was waiting for them. From the look of it, it didn't seem he was too upset.

He nodded his head toward Daiyu then Izrail. “I am glad the two of you could make it. I have a special request to ask the two of you. I would like you to go to the rogue lands. There is a group of thieves south of here. I would be interested in seeing if we could recruit some of them into the pride.” Majanga said.

They were asked to go on a mission? This wasn't what Izrail had expected. His father didn't trust him with anything. But here he was being given a mission. “I can do that.” He said quickly, without hesitating. “I will bring them back and have them join our pride.” This was the chance he had been waiting for. He wanted to show his father that he could be useful.

Nope nope nope. This was not right. There must have been a mistake. She could not go on a mission with Majanga's son. “Lord Majanga wouldn't a stronger lion such as N'uul be a better fit for this mission then me? I trust your judgment fully of course my lord, but I feel that Izrail will be in better hands with a stronger sith.”

Majanga gave Daiyu a small grin. “This mission is important for your future Daiyu. You need to prove your worth to the pride. So far you have done nothing to help the pride and for the most part you just end up getting in the way. Izrail is in the same boat. You two must succeed in this mission. If you don't, then you might as well not bother returning to the pride.”
