It was the typical crowd, a small group of new Snipers milled about waiting for their training to begin. No commanding officer yet, just them. Which meant the group of ten were being rather...rowdy. Chatting loudly, occasionally shooting at a random object with a gun just because. One had even taken up occasionally stabbing at the ground with his knife. All Snipers had knives, after all.

Yes, it'd be an easy enough group to infiltrate should someone try. No real order to things yet.

Between the loud chatter and the occasional blast, Joe was easily able to slip in amongst the other snipers without notice. Heh. Piece of cake! Now to see what he could find out. Looking around at the others, Joe spotted the solitary Sniper sticking his knife into the ground over and over. Was it malfunctioning or were Sniper bots just that stab-happy? Joe wasn't sure he wanted to find out. Walking over to the group of chatting Snipers, he decided to stand just outside their circle, pretending to polish his knife as he listened for any valuable information.

The Snipers that Joe snuck up to seemed to be talking about the best places to stab a victim. Seriously, maybe these guys really were all about the stabbing. Though a bit away from the group was one particular bot who was busy choking a training dummy. So...there was that.

There wasn't too much longer before the bot's commanding officer made his presence known. Maybe it'd be that nice bot that Joe met at the diner! Or someone new he could get some intel on!

A particular whistle told it all. As soon as the tune hit their sensors the bots scrambled to lineup. Nobody was eager to piss off the approaching bot.

Wow. Well this information was going down in his report as "Snipers are creepy." Joe's ears caught the musical tune a few seconds before his brain caught up. s**t....please let that be just another imitation like that guy in the pizza joint. As the others fell into line, Joe scrambled to take his place next to them. Sweating profusely beneath his helmet, the disguised audio waited anxiously to see who would appear.

See...imitating that whistle was never a good idea. It was the signature tune of one individual...a certain individual who absolutely hated the fact that the little Glitch whistled his tune constantly. That -idiot-.

So no, it wasn't an imitation that stepped out to join the Snipers. It was, in fact, General Proto in his full uniform. Gun equipped, shield on his back, scarf flapping dramatically in the light breeze. Don't ask how. It just does.

Beneath the visor his gaze was drifting across the gathered Snipers. Ugh...again with this. He really hated having to train these inferior units. And yes, it was a thing with him to hate things. Deal with it. There was a noticeable scowl on his face...until a certain something caught his eye.

Then he just smirked.

"Well I do hope you are ready for some training."
He strolled past them, making sure each and every one of them was lined up. All eleven of them. ...Out of the ten Sniper crew he was scheduled to train today.

"Are you ready?"
Proto had stopped in front of Joe, that smirk now fixed on him.

How did he keep running into this guy?!?!?!?! Was it his cologne or something? Crap and now he was coming this way. Hoping his sweat hadn't trickled beyond the helmet, Joe struggled to keep his voice neutral and imitate that of the snipers he'd heard talking earlier. "Yes...sir!" Realizing he still held his knife, Joe held it up slightly to show he was prepared for training. Now hopefully Proto would buy it this time and move on.

"Excellent..but you won't be needing that. Knives down everyone."
There was a disappointed murmur as the Snipers put away their knives and instead brought out their guns. But...well they were Snipers, they should probably get some practice in with their guns.

At least Proto thought that made sense.

"As for what your target will be..."
The General walked away, picking up a beat up looking shied. Soon enough he was back and handing it to 'Sniper' Joe.
"-You- are the target."

He backed away. ....A lot. Before giving the order....
"FIRE!"

Joe hesitantly put the knife away. No knives? Good! Maybe this training wouldn't involve weapons at all. Or...not. He eyed the other snipers as each pulled out a gun. Crap! He still hadn't managed to snag a gun from one of the bots. Why couldn't he have picked up the one his helmet donor had been wearing?! ARGH! So busy was he mentally kicked himself, Joe hadn't noticed what the general was doing until he was once more standing in front of him. Taking the offered shield, he blinked at it in confusion a moment before the words finally registered. "Wait...WHAT?!"

The General was currently leaning against a wall, arms loosely folded as he watched on with a smirk.

The Snipers, on the other hand, immediately rounded on their fellow bot in training and opened fire. That shield provided cover! And a great big target for them to aim at. PEW PEW PEW!

Man these guys were quick to turn on a fellow Sniper at their general's command. They hadn't even hesitated! Was this normal training for them or was it possible Proto had seen through his disguise once more? No way! He did it perfect this time. It must just be how these guys trained. Joe doubted this shield would hold up much longer but he wasn't sure what else he could do. Maybe if he led them to an alley or something he could take them on one at a time! Yeah! Taking a quick glance through the window in the tiny shield, he stood and made a dash for the closest alley, the shield raised enough to cover his head and body. Hopefully his legs would be harder to hit if they were moving fast.

Well, these were bots programmed to follow their commander's orders. And you....well you aren't really a robot now are you Joe? Proto watched on, the smirk growing a bit more as Joe took off running. That poor poor fool.

At least the General was entertained.

Most of the Snipers stayed back, but two broke off from the pack to pursue and continue shooting at Joe.

Joe was within three feet of the alley when one of the Sniper's finally got lucky. The shot nicked his leg and Joe went down in a heap. "ARGH!" Quickly sitting back up, he pulled his knees to his chest, using the shield to once more block his body as he examined the wound. It didn't look too bad but a fine trickle of blood had already begun to run down his leg, matting his fur. s**t.

A whistle cut through the air, a command which the Snipers heard even over the sound of gunfire. They immediately ceased fire, dropping their guns to their sides. The ones that had cornered Joe even backed away to join up with the rest of the group.

Proto, meanwhile, pulled himself from the wall and casually strolled over to the Audio hiding behind a shield. The smirk, by now, had faded into the usual unamused look the General wore.

Even though this was all hilarious to him.

"Hey there soldier, how are you holding up?"
PostPosted: Thu Apr 24, 2014 6:13 am

s**t he was back but at least he'd called the others off. Looking up at Proto and then quickly back to his leg, Joe tried his best to cover the wound with his free paw. "Fine, sir. Just a little...uh.....fluid leak."

Proto crouched down...from a distance it might look like he was showing some concern for a wounded bot. ...Really he just wanted to be close enough that his words wouldn't be overheard by the others. This wouldn't be as much fun if -they- knew who this really was now would it?

"Doesn't look like any fluids that belong to a robot...but I believe you already know that. I think I told you to make sure your disguise was better next time I ran into you, hrm?"
