Nearly twitching with anxious energy, Ranuin had continued pacing restlessly outside the door while the healers had worked to stabilize his friend. Only when the worst of the bleeding had stopped, one of the healers had had mercy and muttered something about 'letting the poor boy in, as long as he kept out of the way.' He'd heard and hadn't needed to be told twice, keeping to the edge of the room while they continued their work.
What had happened? He still wasn't sure of the details. Only the broken statements he'd gotten in the chaos of the moment; something about an attack and Moony getting stabbed...by whom? What...what could have prompted such a thing? He wrung his hands, tail twitching anxiously around his calves. He felt the need to take action, to rush out into the night and search for the culprit and...and do what? He was no enforcer. He wasn't trained in such things. And if he simply let the wolf take over...
Suppressing a shudder, he focused on the conflicting urge, the one that told him to stay right here, where he was, and not to leave Moony's side until she was healthy again. Whatever had happened, he'd keep her safe now. No one would get by his watch.
While still weakened from the blood loss, Moonlight's shift and healing abilities may have saved her life. While she'd been unresponsive for much of the trip back, as the healers worked, she seemed to drift in and out of consciousness. At one point, she seemed to waken enough to start returning to her Faun form...much to their relief, as few knew much about canine anatomy as compared to Faun. With some coaxing, she'd regained her normal form before fading to unconsciousness again.
Now, healers began to drift away from the bedside now that the worst was over, some starting to clean up as others finished tying the bandages wound around her torso. Blood-tinted water was carried away, leaving only a couple of attending healers watching over the resting Pegasus.

Twinkletoes sighed and rolled her eyes. Her whispers came out in aggrivated tones. "But, Daddy..." she started in a half-whine. "I don't want to shift just to go on a run!"
She pouted a bit. "I keep telling you that every time I shift I get a migraine. It sucks..." She grumbled a bit and gently nudged at a small bit of dirt at her hooves. It was her form of kicking a pebble, as doing such a thing was rather harsh to her eardrums. "And I still haven't gotten to where I can change back at will. It's... It's complicated..." Mo chuckled and sighed after a moment. His replies came back at a whisper as he shook his head and smiled. "Alright. You win. This time." He then took a step back and wagged a finger in her direction. "But I'm telling you. All you gotta do is practice shifting a bit more. It'll come to you." he winked.
He looked her over, watching her sigh a bit in relief then nod at him. A howl in the distance left them looking back and forth for a moment, but they shrugged it off. Neither of them spoke wolf. Much less understood it much (yet) outside of their shifts. Besides, it seemed a bit of a ways off. The wilds weren't that much a threat to them. Why worry about it?
"Look. I know it's not as... pleasant for you like it is for your siblings and myself...." he started, pulling her in for a hug then stepping back a bit. "But you can't keep running and hiding from it forever. The migraines are merely an obstacle that you a-..." his body froze as the wind shifted. There was blood on the wind. A glance at Twinkle's eyes spoke that she smelled the same.
Another howl pierced the air around them. This time closer to their home and a bit of a whine etched into it's vocals. Worry? Concern? It was hard to tell. Whispers began floating from the tree in waves. Worried, frightened whispers that sent the hair along his spine on end.
His yellow eyes snapped to the tree. There were a few acres of woods between them and the large doors, but his eyes searched in that direction frantically. Blood? Panicked howls? Scared whispers of their ancestors? ... Something was wrong...Twinkletoes blinked and tilted her head. This was an odd sort of reaction from her father. "Daddy?" she whispered softly, a fleck of fear tailing her query. She turned her head to the tree just as she caught wind of the smell of blood and she whimpered faintly. She searched the trees around them leading towards Laisidhiel before looking back at her father, fear dripping off her whispered words. "The... The tree... it's buzzing. Did something happen?"Mo merely shook his head in response. He didn't know yet. But something was wrong. He could feel it. Hear it. Smell it, even. He started for the tree, each step becoming more urgent and swift than the last until he rushed through the giant doors leading within at a run. He skidded to a stop and looked at the guards there. The whispers were stronger. Urgent. Worried... Scared.
Mo's lips parted to ask what was going on, but before words could leave him."Daddy!"
Twinkletoes had followed him and now stood beside him. Her eyes were wide and her hands were clasped over her ears. The fact that she managed to step foot back into the tree in the middle of the day was a feat in itself. But her facial expression was not one of defiance and pain of sensory overload... It was one of fear. Genuine fear.
Her wide blue eyes shifted to meet his. "It's Moony." she whispered. "I heard someone say she's in the infirmary!" Her lip quivered. "It's her blood we smelled..."Mo's heart dropped. Panic washed over him, but in an instant he turned and began sprinting for the infirmary. "Go get your Mother!" he shouted over his shoulder. He didn't need to look back to make sure she'd hear him. He knew she would. He definitely didn't have to tell her twice. Her ears rang at his command and she winced for a moment then waited for the thundering of his running hooves to fade before she forced herself to focus. She inhaled deeply, keeping her hands clasped over her ears to block out half of the distraction. She found the scent of her mother and raced after it, rushing back to the doors of their home and shoving the door open in a hurry.
She quickly turned and shut the door, blocking out the growing commotion and shoving the overpowering scents back out to the commons of the tree. Tears began welling in her eyes as she turned and actually shouted into the large four bedroom hovel they lovingly called home.
"Mom!" she shouted, even surprisingly to herself. She winced at the sound of her voice echoing into the very recesses of her brain but shook it off quickly. "Mom, we have t-..." she swallowed hard, her own voice louder than she could bear, but at the moment, there were more important things. She placed a few fingertips to her temples and let out a ragged exhale/ "-to go to the infirmary. Daddy's already on his way there." She turned in to the room where her mother's scent was strongest. Where she knew she'd be eye to eye with the Fauny Princess Luna.
"I... I think Moony is hurt..." she added in a whisper this time.~*~*~ Mo blazed a path towards the Infirmary, dodging everyone with ease, though politely offering the occasional "S'cuse me" and "Sorry!" when necessary. He nearly burst through the door had it not been for the nurses there. The looks they gave him... He remembered those looks. Regret. Sorrow....? Like Praxis had seen the day he lost-... No... Nonononono NO! He was NOT going to lose one of HIS babies. He shoved past them, ignoring their comments for him to calm down and keep quiet.
"Moon... Shadow, sweety..." he rushed to her side and knelt at the bedside, grasping her hand and gently petting her cheek. "Hey, sweety." he whispered, swallowing hard. He didn't want to look at her wounds just yet. He had to see her eyes. He had to see that she was ok. "Daddy's here, baby." he whispered again.
His eyes shifted quickly to Ranuin. "Were you there?! Did you see what happened?!" he asked, in almost a harsh and demanding tone. His eyes narrowed a bit upon seeing blood on his... pelt? Sounded accurate. That boy better hope it's his blood or he had some serious explaining to do.

"I wanted to ask your opinion mom... because... well... your a girl..." Wild Moon said, half nervously, half chuckling as he sat still for his mother to tie back his loose hair. Being the only other so far in his family, well besides his aunt, who had orbiting space hair that seemed to have a mind of his own, the still young second generation prince often went to his mother for.... 'hair taming.' Also on this occasion, he had worked up the nerve to tell his mother about Sweetie Belle. "Would she like flowers? Or maybe gems like her sister? What did dad bring you?" he asked, feeling like a bundle of nerves ready to explode from excitement.Luna chuckled, brushing back her son's bangs, settling them properly on his forehead, her fingers gently weaving through the caramel space strands as they floated about, not unlike her own. Often times she amused herself with the thought that he was lucky not to have a matching tail, but kept such things to herself. Right now she preoccupied herself with her son's many questions. It seemed, after her anger had died down, that the reason he had disobeyed orders and went to Venus's party anyways was for a girl. Not even the Princess of the Night could blame him for that. She was just glad he was home in one piece regardless. "Perhaps you should find out what it is she likes. Not her sister...... her sister is that... loud one though, isn't she? Rarity?" she paused for a moment, holding the gathered waves of caramel stars between her hands with a slight frown. "Is she.... as loud?" Luna asked. Of course she failed to realize.... she had no right to be talking.Half laughing, Wild Moon nodded carefully. "Yes mom, her sister is the loud one. And no, Sweetie isn't loud... unless she sings... but her voice is amazing. Oh Mother you should hear the way sh---" he said, his voice cut off by the sound of approaching steps.
Turning his head to the door, he heard his sister long before he saw her, what little senses he retained out of dog form lending him slightly better hearing than most, yet still nothing spectacular. "Twinkle.. whats wrong!?" he gasped, noting the look of duress on her face. Why was she in the tree? She couldn't stand such noises!Letting go the mass of glittering gold between her fingers, her motherly instincts had kicked in quickly. One could argue faster than her son's slightly more acute sense of hearing, but now was neither the time nor the place for such trivial details. All Twinkles needed to say infirmary and Moony. Or rather that's all she seemed to hear. The rest was just a blur.
What was once a calm and quite happy demeanor quickly turned harsh, like a raging sea during a thunder storm. Dark purple wings spread out wide, filling the small space in a flash as sea green eyes narrowed in what could only be described as a pure mother's rage and panic. The Princess of the night was out the door before either sibling had a chance to argue, making a straight line towards the infirmary.Wild Moon flinched, running over to his sister, gently cupping his hands about her ears, his gaze filled with worry, much of it for her sake as well as what ever happened to their sister. "I wont blame you if you wish to leave... I know you know full well what's coming..." he said as soft as he possibly could, though he winced himself, even if it had yet to happen. "I need to see our sister though...." he near about mouthed the words, placing a gentle kiss atop his other sister's fore head before dashing out the door after his mother who was by now already long gone.Time waited for no faun. There was only one destination on the dark princess's mind, and that was the infirmary. She could smell the tang of blood on the air, her brows narrowed and her fears rising.
The infirmary doors, busted wide open, the clanging crash echoing off the walls, their impact against the wood like thunder.
"WHAT HATH HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER?!!"

, she shouted as loud as faunie possible. This new level of loud brought even the Royal Canterlot voice to shame as she descended into the room in a storming glory. One could have sworn lightning even struck outside at the exact moment.
Glancing from one faun to the next, her eyes rested upon Moonlight, wrapped in bandages, covered in blood. She then followed Stallion Justmo's gaze over towards Ranuin, her daughter's little wolf friend, also covered in blood. Lacking any of the story as to what happened, all the Princess knew in that moment was rage, fear, worry, and pain. Her wings began to beat furiously, unknowingly, slightly lifting her from the ground, as she glared down anyone who happened to be in her way. The rustling of her feathers adding no extra help to the situation, as smaller objects toppled from their resting places.

"EXPLAIN TO US NOW, WHAT MANNER OF FOUL PLAY IS THIS?!!" , she shouted again, fingers pointed at Ranuin. Tagging behind, Wild Moon heard the thunder before he saw the lightning. He panted, pulling it frantically his hair from his face, as the mass was never properly contained before chaos ensued, and floated fully and freely wherever it pleased.
Rushing into the infirmary, stopping to stare at what was left of the doors for only a fraction of a second, he ran over to his sister's side, desperately wanting to lay a hand upon her but fearing to do so from the grave look of the situation. "Oh Moony...." he gulped, his ears laying flat down to try to tune out his mother's booming, but it was of no use.
"Father...Father! Please! Control mother!" he begged, turning to get a grip on his dad and shake him out of his rage as well. It wouldn't help to have two parents gone completely bat s**t crazy.

Of course, Ranuin's silent oath to let 'no one' through to Moony didn't include her own father. Her very imposing Council member father. When the Adviser burst into the room, Ranuin was startled enough to step back out of the way, giving the elder a clear path to his daughter's bedside. Only now, in the confined space with her father and the healers making themselves scarce now that Moony just needed rest they said, Ranuin realized that that left him alone with Mo. And her father would want answers.
Answers Ranuin didn't have.
The wolf Faun's dark eyes darted towards his still friend's form. She was still out, but seemed much more peaceful than she had earlier. Sleeping then? He didn't have long to ponder the matter before a pair of golden eyes locked on him. So similar to Moony's....but filled with an intensity at the moment that she could have only wished she could have commanded. Unconsciously, Ranuin's tail tucked between his legs and he cowered under the elder's glare. He'd tried not to pay attention to the muttered sentiments, despite his hearing, yet...the abrupt change in tone...the intense glare...and here came the dreaded questions...
The fact that if this were a direct confrontation and they were to revert to their feral forms, that Ranuin's wolf would have been three to four times that of Mo's wild dog? Never occurred to him. (Of course, he had no knowledge of the other's more imposing shift...) Instead, all he could think was 'Laisidhiel help me...I think Moony's dad might eat me...'
He'd been silent too long, blinking and shaking off his stupor, he looked down at himself, the coppery scent catching in his nostrils...oh, by the Earth... "S-sir...it's not what it seems...I wasn't there--"
His explanation, or lack thereof was interrupted by the entrance of the Princess of the Night. Flinching visibly, Ranuin's ears had flattened against his head and he'd backed up until he felt the wall at his back. Fight or flight instinct was starting to kick in...the sudden noise, the confusion, fear, rage, he felt backed into a corner...they wanted answers he didn't have, he wished he had, he wished he'd been there to protect her from...whatever had happened... When the healers had retreated, they'd left Moonlight resting on her side, her injury furthest from the bed. Besides, lying on her side allowed her wings to rest comfortably behind her, and what she needed now was to rest, heal, and recover her strength if what they'd said was true. At the sudden commotion, she visibly winced, whining and curling in on herself, arms drawing over her head. The high-pitched whine cut through his own mounting panic and one of Ranuin's ears twitched. "...Moony?"

The boy's silence did nothing to calm the storm brewing in the Advisor's eyes. Rage filled him. His daughter was injured, there was blood on the boy that belonged to her and he was the only one with-holding any sort of information he needed to solve this sudden and grave mystery.
Luna stormed in, only momentarily averting Mo's gaze from the quivering boy. His body language spoke enough, but he also knew yelling was just going to give them more quivering from his smaller form. A hand to his arm drew his attention towards his son. Gold met gold for a moment before words met his ears. He was silent a moment until Moony's form shifted. He nodded to Wild Moon and sighed.
His jaw flinched, evident that he was still holding back some serious amounts of rage, but he bit it back for the moment. "Luna, My Moon..." he managed to speak calmly. He placed his hands upon her shoulders and forced her to look upon him. She'd know he was just as livid as he just by looking at him. He seemed to hide it well from most of the others in the room. "I'll deal with the boy. Our daughter needs you right now..." He kissed her upon the forehead. "Tend to her. Please." he asked, holding the look there a moment before he slipped away and turned his attention on Ranuin.
His gaze was alarmingly cold and stern as he fished for the right... tone and words to conjure. "Come with me, boy." he eventually managed then began leading the way to the hallway outside. A few paces out, he stopped and waited. He couldn't leave his child. He just couldn't. The hallway would have to do for their little 'chat'.
Back in the hovel, Twinkletoes seemed to have been frozen in place. A complete shivering mess. Her mother had stormed out without a word. Odd. Her "Royal Canterlot Voice" was sure to be echoing into her cerebellum at this point. Her brother grabbing her seemed to snap her out of her paralyzed state. Oh... so their mother had yet to use it... right.
"Go to her." she nodded in understanding. "I'll be... I'll be outside the walls, listening in. If things should turn f-for the worst, call for me. I'll be there in a flash." she nodded and waited a moment for her brother's hoofbeats to fade before she chanced to make a mad-dash back outside. And by mad-dash, she stretched her wings and floated down to the ground level doors and sprinted with all the speed she could muster.
She made it out just in time to hear her mother bellowing through the tree's core. Hands clasped to her ears to dull the echo. Spirits help those who were in her wake... Oh, she hoped her mother was done shouting at this point...
Her wings opened and she took to the air, flitting swiftly up the side of the tree's exterior until her ears pinpointed her father voice seemingly attempting to calm Luna coming from within. Good. Hopefully that would work. She'd hope so. Her head pounded softly already, she didn't need an added headache of more shouting... and their mother had a rather powerful voice when she wanted.
She settled herself upon a branch, wishing she could be inside with the others, though knowing fully well that she'd probably be admitted into the infirmary just by being exposed to so many worrying, yelling faun at once.

"ANSWERS!!"
Luna shouted more, she glared at Ranuin, at the fleeing tail end of the nurses, at her husband, her son, her daughter. She had opened her mouth to utter something else when a familiar touch of hands on her shoulders jolted her momentarily from her rage.
Blinking in shock, all air seemed to stand still within her lungs, full from her last breath that would have been to support another booming demand. But instead she let it out slowly, calmly, the kiss sinking into her forehead like a sedative to a raging wild creature. "Justmo...." she said softly, turning to view him as he moved away. How she wanted to just crumble into his arms crying, let him kiss away her tears. But she couldn't do that. Not now. Not while her daughter lay hunched over, whimpering in pain.
As Justmo took Ranuin out through the busted doors, she flashed the boy one last electrical glance.

Rushing to her daughters side, she began gently stroking her fingers through the wild straw colored mane of her daughter. "Fear not my Shadow, I am here...." she whispered gently, brushing her fingers against her daughter's cheeks fondly as she eyed her bandaged wounds. "It is night, why had no one called me?! I could have healed her!!" she began again, fighting all she had to keep her voice level. She knew the healers had done well, done their jobs as experts, but that was the farthest thing on her mind right now. This was her baby girl, her warrior, and no amount of comforting words was going to take away that raging pain she felt in side right this moment.Sighing in relief, Wild Moon managed a small smile. He knew his father was one of few who could calm his mother's wrath. At least for the time being. He shot a glance towards the window, silently hoping Twinkle had gotten far enough away in time. He didn't need two sisters laying in sick beds.
Going over and placing his hand on his mother's arms, he glanced down at his sister, his other hand placed delicately on her shoulder. "Moony, its going to be ok. Breath and relax...."

Ranuin, though still cowed, had reached out and dug short claws into a nearby table edge as the shouting continued. His ears were laid flat and it seemed unclear if he were about to bolt or snap instead. Only when the shouting had stopped and the attention was off of him, if only for a second while the Adviser and his mate had fixed their attention on each other, had he had time to focus on Moony's whimper again. He swallowed hard...this wasn't helping her. Clearly, everyone was upset and concerned for her...was this really the best way to react, at least in front of her? Part of him wanted to go to her, try to calm her disturbed sleep.
Another part of him feared crossing too close to the Adviser or the Night Princess right now. He didn't want to spark up another explosion like before. But what was he supposed to do? He'd gotten pulled into this just trying to help! They wouldn't even let him explain...
And then Mo uttered, "Come with me, boy."
Ranuin swallowed hard again, glancing from Moony in her bed, to Mo at the doorway, to the flashing gaze of the Princess, then the more somber look of Moony's brother nearby. Indecision caused him to hesitate, then in favor of keeping this new, tense peace over more yelling, he moved towards the door with some reluctance. After a final look back at his friend lying in the bed, he followed Mo into the hallway.
Out of the enclosed space and not being suddenly confronted by two angry, powerful parents, Ranuin had the chance to try to regain some of his own composure. He knew he wasn't presenting the best front for his own argument of innocence. If this had been any other family in the Tree, he might have entertained the passing thought that they suspected him of doing some wrong to Moony. No, he hadn't missed the whispers about the 'strange wolf boy' growing up. He'd just been told to ignore them.
Shoving aside such thoughts, he turned to face the Adviser alone. Instinct told him to show submission over dominance...but he wasn't cowering against the wall as he had been in the room. There was a hint of the anxiety he felt in the way he shuffled his paws at the floor, and didn't seem quite sure about what to do with this hands...and he kept glancing back towards the room, but other than that, he was trying his best to keep his own voice even. "Sir, I know what it looks like, but...it's not. I haven't had a chance to clean up yet. I know you want answers, but so do I. I don't know what happened yet, I just found them."
He sighed, hanging his head. "I wasn't there. I was out watching the sunset and decided to stay out for a while in the quiet. Then, I heard screaming. I followed the sound and found Princess Celestia...and Moony, as a jackal, bleeding. They both looked pretty rough. All I got out of the Princess was that they'd been attacked and Moony had been stabbed. I didn't know what else to do, so I brought them back here to the Tree as fast as I could. I thought the healers would be her best hope," he swallowed, his voice cracking as he faltered.
Glancing for the first time away from the infirmary towards the spiral stairs, he continued after a moment, "I left the Princess downstairs in the main hall with Dad. I ran ahead with Moony to get her to the healers. I suppose when they finished with her a while ago, they went to check on her aunt." He was staring down at his hands now, what information he had had been shared.
"She....she's gonna' be alright, isn't she? I...didn't know what else to do..."
--- When the screaming stopped, so did the cringing Pegasus' whimpers. Her tension relaxed, though she remained curled slightly, one arm over her head. She seemed to respond to Luna's light caresses, much like a child soothed from a bad dream. Her expression softened, easing from troubled to peaceful, her breathing resuming a deep, steady rhythm.

Mo turned his focus completely upon Ranuin. His gaze oddly cold, despite the fiery glow the gold orbs seemed to give. His body rigid, stiff, and bulging with the need to... well, to do something drastic and possibly greatly out of character.
However, he was silent and listened while Ranuin explained his position. His arms crossed over his chest and he listened intently. Ranuin and his father had been known to reside outside the tree from time to time (more frequently than not) so his "alibi" didn't seem far fetched, and he had heard rumors that this boy's shift in particular would more than likely make Mo's tail in shifted form tuck at the sight of his size. So, again, his explanation of carrying two Pae upon his back didn't seem to shake him.
His golden eyes studying hard into the boy, even after he had finished talking. Mo probably would have opted to not say a thing to Ranuin had he not inquired if Moonlight would be alright in the end. After what would seem like an eternity of a stare-down of possible death, Mo inhaled deeply and averted his gaze towards his daughter in the room beyond.
"You did the right thing, boy. Bringing her here, I mean." he watched Luna and Wild Moon at Moony's side for a brief moment, idly wondering where Twinkletoes had run off to.
"I believe you, Ranuin." He began again and (surprisingly) gently rested a hand on Ranuin's shoulder. "Forgive our outbursts. We're merely worried for our daughter."
He shuffled on his hooves for a moment and took another deep breath. "Thank you for bringing her here. For finding her even. I'll see if I can tame my family's worries until she's better to explain what she remembers of her attack."
He turned and looked back over Ranuin's figure. "I would suggest you be quick and get yourself cleaned up. Then find Cheif Rais and let him know what has transpired." he turned, starting to walk back into the infirmary. He then paused, turning to the boy and adding, "And let him know I'll be here until further notice..."

Luna's head snapped out towards the corridor when she heard her sisters name. "Celestia?! AND MY DAUGHTER?!" she shouted again, brows still furrowed in anger as she clenched her fist. By all that was Moonsoaked, if the power of destruction could flow through her veins, she would be on a holy night rampage by now.
But for the sake of her daughter, she resisted. Biting her bottom lip, she took a deep breath, turning her attention back towards her daughter. She grabbed Moony's hand stretched above her head, moving it slightly to place a kiss atop it before leaning down and gently pressing her forehead to the brown Pegasus's own. Watching his mother for a moment, hoping there would be no more shouting after that last tiny bit, he let out a sigh of relief. Not only his sister, but his Aunt was there as well? Hopefully the lack of her presence in the infirmary meant she wasn't as bad.
Turning his attention back to his dad, his pale gold eyes searched his father's expression. "What do we do? Surely the attacker wont dare come back, but how do we know they wont with more?" he asked softly, large amounts of concern in his voice. Better question was why were these two even attacked in the first place, but that was said and done already.

The tension in the air was thick, but finally, a crack seemed to relieve some of the pressure. The Adviser's hand on his shoulder, Ranuin nodded in understanding. Of course they were worried about Moony. So was he. He understood completely.
But...now, he was being sent away.
Instinct was practically screaming at him not to go; that it was his job to stay here and protect his friend. What it was that he thought he might be protecting her from inside the infirmary, he couldn't say. Nor did it seem right to say that he felt he could do what her family could not. He couldn't explain it; it was just...instinct. He fidgeted, glancing back at the door anxiously. Of course, what the Adviser was asking made perfect sense to the rest of his brain. After a moment, he sighed, looking back at Mo with a solemn expression.
"...yes, sir, I will, but.." He scratched his arm absently. "...after I do that, I can still come back later...right?"

Mo paused, clearly thinking this query over. Could the boy return? Sure. He guessed it would be alright. But would it be a wise thing to have so many paeple standing around and staring at his daughter, waiting for her to wake up and spill the details on just how she managed to get herself into this situation....? Well, there was certainly no harm in it, but it might prove to be overwhelming for her to wake up to.
His gold eyes flashed back to Ranuin, eyeing him up and down another moment. He could tell by the way he held himself and looked at Moony that he truly cared for her. Perhaps she felt the same? He wouldn't know. She never spoke of boys to him before. He sighed softly before he gave a small curt nod in response. Once he was sure the answer was caught and undoubtedly watched the boy deflate with relief, he turned back into the room and moved to stand beside Luna.
"I don't know, my Moon." he sighed heavily in response. "For once, I have no words or thoughts of wisdom. I merely just want to see her better."Twinkletoes sighed and fluttered over to the branch by the window. Sky blue eyes peered in through the opening and she bit her lip at the sight. It was odd to be sitting outside and looking in. But she knew it'd be hell echoing in her skull once paeple started talking.
She tucked her knees into her chest and rested her cheek onto crossed arms, eyes hopefully staring upon Moony's breathing figure to watch for any changes.

Luna sighed, her wings fidgeting behind her back as the only sign of her still ever present nerves. Glancing towards Mo, her sea green eyes glimmered with the hint of tears at his response. "She will awaken though.... wont she?" she whispered softly, running her fingers through her daughter's hair. She glanced out towards the window at Twinkletoes and gave her a mother/daughter kind of look as if to check on her as well.Teigra Sorry its shoorrrttt idk what to have her do atm XDD

*Later* The healers had brought in chairs and cots for the visitors, understanding that they would want to be present when the pegasus patient awoke, rather than having to be sent for. Primarily, the visitors had been her family, though she'd had a couple of un-related visitors as well. Like the lupine Faun who had curled himself up out of the way in one corner beneath a simple blanket.
Stirring only slightly at first, consciousness was slow to return. She was somewhere...comfortable and warm...but the last thing she'd remembered had been anything but. Shifting, the pain in her side elicited a quiet groan and she struggled with the effort required to raise her eyelids. In the corner, the lupine Faun stirred as well, one ear cocked towards the bed as he raised his head from beneath the blanket, dark eyes blinking with sudden alertness. "Moony?" There was an additional visitor in the infirmary today. While also interested in what had truly happened, the Chieftain was primarily here out of support for a brother in need. There was little they could do until the full story was known, but he had promised as soon as they knew something, he would be sending out hunters for the culprit. For now, the best they could do was to warn others to keep inside the Tree and be wary of going out alone.
The sudden movement from Ranuin at the side of the room directed the attention of all present towards the bed. Reaching for Mo's shoulder, Rais gestured towards the stirring Moonlight, "Brother..."

Mo paused again, biting his tongue from making any false promises. He wrapped an arm around her waist and hugged her a moment. "I have faith that she will..." he then replied, giving neither a yes or no answer.Twinkletoes remained at watch on the branch. Like most of the MoLuna children, she preferred the quiet calm of night to dwell, so her body openly welcomed the cascading rays of moonlight over her perched figure. Her sky blue eyes remaining forever fixed upon her sister while her ears pivoted and twisted to the sounds of the night waking around and below her.
If anything was to attempt to attack her sister again, she'd know long before they'd be able to approach and be ready...
Nothing new happened tonight. If anything, the tree itself was far more quiet than she preferred, but she heard the Chief's warning to stay in and safe for the night. No one would be coming outside after dark until more was discovered. Unless they were really brave... or stupid...
She was omit of being stupid. She had her reasons to be out of the tree's safe walls. Thankfully for her, her family and other members of the home knew and understood at this point. Besides... she kept in sight on the limb past the window.
She kept still - like a statue - upon that branch, the only movements made were the blinking of her eyes, the seemingly constant swivel and tilt of her ears and the gentle, almost unnoticeable sway of her figure from her breathing. It wasn't until Moony started to stir did she move at all. Her head lifted and ears rolled fully forward as she held her breath, listening intently to the sounds from within the room.Mo attempted to stay awake through the night, keeping vigil over his family as the time seemed to sluggishly drag on. Eventually, fatigue claimed him and he leaned against a wall for support. Mere minutes passed before his head tilted forward, eyes heavily closed as sleep finally claimed him in the early hours of morning. It wasn't until a hand on his shoulder did he flinch, eye - temporarily snapping open in a glare - flashing towards the Chief until he slumped in relief upon recognition. He supposed worry of an attack had him assuming he was next, causing the harsh but fleeting reaction. He lifted a hand to his head, rubbing his eyes and inhaling deeply before following the gestured gaze.
"Moony..." he half whispered, then nodded in thanks to Rais before moving beside Luna and kneeling at Moony's bedside.
"You're safe now, sweetheart..." he whispered calmly, hoping her stressful expression would be tamed by a familiar tone.

Wild Moon had gone over to rest near the window that Twinkletoes stayed by, his way of trying to stay near his other sister for support as well as staying out of the way for his parents.
The night was a welcome thing, but the room was still full of tense feelings and nerves. It was only when Ranuin stirred that Wild Moon noticed a drastic change in the atmosphere, as well as his own demeanor. Moonlight was waking up. That was a good sign at least. "Moony.... thatt'a girl. Your a tough gal...." he said with a half laugh, mostly to himself, but loud enough at least that those in the room could hear him.... well and Twinkletoes.
He turned to Twinkletoes, flashing her a weary but relieved smile through the window. Sleep, at any hour of the day, was the last thing on her mind right now. Her focus had been on her child, stroking her hair whenever the brown pegasus would stir in her sleep. Whispering soft soothing words to hopefully try to coax her out of her slumber. Anything to give the Princess of the Night a sign that her daughter was going to be ok.
Nodding to the chief in appreciation that he had come down to be here, even if mostly for Mo, she uttered a soft. "Thank you." to him none the less.
By chance, she had dared to take her eyes off one daughter to glance over to her other two children when Moonlight had begun to stir. Snapping her attention back, reaching out to put a steady hand on Moonlight's shoulder. She was unsure if she could do anything to rid her child of the pain, but tears of happiness welled in her eyes at the simple fact that her child was awakening. "It will be alright my child, we are here."
