Opening your eyes is difficult. Everything feels fuzzy and unreal. There's a blurry haze at the edge of your vision, constantly reminding you that something is Not Quite Right.

Oh, now that smells delicious. The aroma of fresh turkey, cranberries, freshly baked bread - so many smells hitting you at once it's almost dizzying. You can tell it's coming from the rural village ahead - filled with homes made of wooden logs and thatched roofs. A visitor will be regarded with some apprehension, but are greeted with goodwill and are often offered a place at the table for the feast to come. To decline the offer is to truly insult the denizens of this world.

Hope you're hungry.

A quick look at your clothing informs you that you're dressed much like the clean-cut, hard working people of this land. Or, you might look a little less formal, and a little more native. Either of these options are welcome at any table, for a feast of food that lasts forever.

You're never full. How is it possible? The only stuffed thing at these tables are the turkeys. It's a good thing you aren't one of them... right?

Mmur appeared in Thanksgiving Town looking largely the same as he had in Halloween. Sure, he didn't have claws, his eyes were a normal sort of blue, and his tattoos were shifted around, but for the most part... same. The biggest change was the pants. He had them and they were itchy.

The horseman looked down, then at the village in the distance. He wasn't all that interested in eating on a normal day, but that place smelled really delicious.

"I'm all right," he replied, eyes still on the town. "I suppose those candies brought us here? But what are we meant to do?" Besides shake whoever lived up ahead until they handed over their food.

"Nnnn five more minutes...." Taika grumbled sleepily, though once she realized she was not in her room, she sat up quickly and looked around. There were four other people with her, none of whom she knew. Not surprising, since she was a first year. But what were they wearing? She was pretty sure no one had been dressed like that in class. When she stood up, she realized there was far too much fabric to be her own dress. It was black, but thick and kind of itchy. There was a weight on her head, and she felt a least a little relief to know she still had her hat. She reached up to touch it for comfort only to find that it was not, in fact, her hat but something else. "Awesome," she grumbled and pouted, crossing her arms as she looked at the rest of them again.

Wait a minute, did that ghoul just flicker? Kay...maybe she was a ghost or something. Taika didn't remember seeing her in the class, but that didn't mean much really. The words of the other three had sunk in while she'd been inspecting her outfit. "I'm okay... Wishing I had my own clothes back, but okay." It made sense that Professor Selene's candy had transported them to the world it belonged to, but shouldn't she have warned them? "Are all classes at Amityville like this one?"

"I don't know about you guys, but whatever that is up there smells delicious and I'm starving for some reason."

Solia was a bit confused as to why she was suddenly in historically inaccurate clothing as well as world. She was pretty sure there was small pox. She disctincted remembered her history as saying everyone had smallpox or something.

More importantly, she had no idea how she'd gotten there. Her golem would have broken if it left Halloween- She looked at her hands, distinctly, at the burned O on her skin.

Not good.

Not good. a quick touch to her hair and face confirmed yes, it was her. Her without a golem. Looking to the students she realized that this was a very not good situation.

"I say we find our way back" Solia had gone from calm to extremely concerned. FEAR could kill her- who was to say this world wouldn't soon do the same was well.
"I need to find a way back. Like, right now."

Aisha's brow furrowed when the other girl spoke up. She didn't recognize her at all but with their bodies shifted to accommodate this realm, and being new to the school, she wouldn't have known her anyway.

"I'm sure it's fine.." She was too busy with this girl to notice the Thanksgiving resident speaking up. "It's just a class. Nothing bad will happen to us. .. probably."

Then the girl flickered.

"What's uh.. going on with that?" She motioned to ALL of Solia.

Solia looked at herself, finally noticing the flickering.
"Nothing!" She jumped. "Allergies. Maybe a malfunction. Things do that. I do that sometimes. Er not me just this body. I mean yes me but not me I mean."

Then one of the residents was offering food. Indians was such a terrible term. They were Native Americans and were of many tribes and cultures and lumping them together was- Solia was half ready to whip out what little historically factual information she could.

"I am very thankful that no one seems to have smallpox yet."

Solia wanted to start looking for one of those door portals immediately.

Taika tugged on her collar, wishing it was looser. This dress was ridiculous. And hot. Really, really hot. How did people wear these things all the time? She blinked a bit. "Well it's kinda late for aliases now I guess so....I'm Taika," she said and smiled brightly.

The flickering girl had a good idea. They really should find their way back, but that food smelled so good...Surely it wouldn't hurt them to have some, right? The only boil of their group had declared himself the eldest of them and said they should stay and eat. Sounded like a perfect plan to Taika, whose belly was beginning to rumble.

Suddenly one of the Pilgrims turned and looked directly at her. Uh oh. Maaaybe she shouldn't have mentioned Amityville so loudly... She had thought they were farther away than they apparently were. Oops. "Uhhh right, no, I'm totally thankful!" she said and giggled a little nervously. Good job Taika. "And I am definitely hungry."

The flickering girl was certainly acting weird, but maybe she was just nervous about being thrown into another world when they were supposed to be in a class. Or, as one of the other girls pointed out very bluntly, she could be lying. "Smallpox?" That sounded awful. Was it a pox that made you small? And then she realized she'd spoken out loud again. Good job, TK! Make yourself look like the village idiot. Maybe she should let the other students do the talking. Except Flicker. Because. she seemed more nervous than Taika was.

"I haven't seen a good smallpox outbreak in years," Mmur whispered, kind of getting the hang of this game. They were here to infiltrate and learn, not take a running leap and slide on their stomachs through the mashed potatoes.

"I'm Mmur," he said, slipping into a seat. There was plenty of silverware around this place, but that woman had certainly seemed perfectly comfortable with a greasy leg right in her hand. The horseman followed suit, grabbing a hunk of turkey for himself and brandishing it at Serafina before leaning over the table to address his group in "private."

"And I agree she's a terrible liar, but we're going to have to interrogate her quietly."
