The ocean was wide open before him, a gorgeous blue vastness. Flurry sighed contentedly, letting out a few bubbles and stifling the urge to draw them back into his lungs. This was the view that he was privileged to see when he woke up on his part of the reef every morning. The brightness of the Grail lay behind him, variegated corals and sealife alike, but he liked the calm emptiness of the open sea - he could see forever, just peering into the blueness.

He floated there, on the edge of the drop off, long tail fin swishing in the water with the morning sun bright way up above the surface, warming the water around him as the day went on. Nobody came to bother him, no George or Ronnie or the children - Illy must have been looking after them today, or at least doing a very good job at keeping the corralled. Maybe George had taken them out on a field trip to a shipwreck or something... But he shrugged and put his wonderings away. He'd assigned himself the duty of keeping watch over this part of the reef when his friends didn't drag him away, and it was nice to have a day to himself.

Preening his fetlocks, Flurry took his eyes off the ocean for a moment.

Mahogany Sunset

Glyssa lazily drifted a few feet over the sandy ground with her fins moving slowly to keep her in place. She had traveled quite far drawn by tales of an unusual herd of Seathi . Her curious nature had driven her to this unfamiliar reef where the herd was rumored to reside.

Glyssa felt her body relax as she slowly drifted. Her weary fins were slowly gaining back their strength and slowly she felt more energetic but still not completely energized.

Her lilac hair drifted around her face as she tilted her head back and forth while trying to pick up details about the surrounding reef. The water here was warmer than that of her home. The water felt rather comforting as it flowed against the webbing of her fins. Coral was plentiful and filled this area of the ocean with elegant underwater structures.
