Nicknames: None
Age: 21
Birthday: December 3rd
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Johto, Caucasian
Hometown: Ecruteak City, Johto
Current Residence: Ecruteak City, Johto

[Personal Information]
Occupation: History Scholar, as well as a well respected public figure, part of nearly every ceremony held in Ecruteak which involve reenactments of rich history of said city.
Sexuality: Heterosexual. To anyone he's not interested in he's "married to the Legendary Bird of Life."
Likes: Shady, quite places to relax, Clever friends and foes, Festivals, learning the cultures of other regions, home cooked foods, tall buildings, and a good prank.
Dreams: He hold no greater desire than to prove to be at least as good a figure of strength, keeper of the Ecruteak City gym, ad guardian of both Burned and Bell Towers. As a more personal matter, Daemon would also love to learn as much as he could about the culture of other regions, particularly those of Unova and Kalos.
Dislikes: Psychics, Hex Maniacs, Fairy Girls, Mediums, just about any other type of trainer with a profound connection to the occult that seems as though they are possessed, sweltering heat, vandals, blood, those who ignore their cultures, and true cities.
Fears: All types of trainers previously mentioned under dislikes, unfamiliar places, further disaster befalling Ecruteak City.
Intelligence Level: He's got a quick wit, and quite cunning when it comes to his battles and the synergies of his Pokemon's moves, not to mention a vast knowledge of
Strengths: Handling Ghost types, remaining unpredictable in battle, making his Pokemon last far longer than their endurance would have one expect, dealing with the Ghastly evolution chain.
Weaknesses: Fairy types! He gets slightly thrown off when knowing his opponent is not from Kanto or Johto, feeling as though he should expect something different. He does not use Curse for fear of injuring his own Pokemon, and any opponents resistant to Will-o-wisp provides a good advantage.
Gym: Ecruteak City Gym
Gym Specialty: Ghost
Gym Badge: Fog Badge

Cherished Items:
A spell tag, given to him by Morty. A Rainbow wing, given to him by the Kimono girls, made into a pendant. Its power has only successfully been used once to supposedly call to the Legendary Bird of life during the Ash Festival. A small story book, containing the stories of Ho-oh and the three legendary beasts.

Personality
For someone who has dealt with ghosts and sages for nearly his whole life, Daemon is surprisingly lively. He is kind hearted and always eager to both learn from and share his knowledge with others, even with those who could be considered outsiders. He consistently give others the benefit of the doubt as people, but truly earning his respect is something else entirely. He can sense the power in people to some extent, and that hold more value than being able to hold a pleasant conversation with him- which he still appreciates. However, all this changes when he steps onto the battlefield, were he seems to call on the ferocity and wisdom of the warriors of old Johto that he'd studies.

Biography
Daemon wasn't born into anything grandiose or particularly well off, and with Ecruteak City Gym leaders having been picked out of fame it hardly seemed like the boy would make the cut. Regardless he seemed to catch the attention of people by hanging around in all the right places. Morty had encountered him many a time hanging around by the Burned Tower, which was no place for children, however, it was this "dangerous" place that brought Daemon into an encounter with his very first Pokemon. At the foot of a crumbling statue lay what the young Daemon though was simply a discarded sword. He intended to pick up the neglected object- it was just his size- and give it to one of the sages when the Pokemon Honedge revealed its true nature. It stuck to him and refused to let go. When his family found out, they took him to the Mediums of Morty's gym, hoping to prevent their son's soul from being consumed- as they knew Honedge was capable of doing, yet the Pokemon seemed benign, and the two got along surprisingly well.
After that point, whenever he was shooed away form the towers by either the Gym leader or the Sages, he went to the Kimono Girl's Dance Theater, and watched them, almost every performance without fail. The youngest of the sisters recognized his face in the crowd, and challenged him to his very first battle. Naturally, he lost, and as the challenged continued he continued to lose each time as well. He couldn't notice, on account of lack of victory, but his power and synergy between his Pokemon and himself seemed to wax each time, until one day he came back to Bell tower. Naturally, as he indicated his desire to see inside of the tower to pay his respects to the Pokemon Ho-oh he was stopped and challenged by the Sages of the Barrier station and defeat each of them with his partner Gilgamesh, much to the surprise of the sages; they'd never seen the Pokemon Doublade except within legends, where possession of such a creature was a trait of ancient kings. Even as they were defeated, Daemon was stopped an prevented from proceeding, and rather than leave as ordered, he simply stayed put, refusing to budge from the spot. Finally Morty was called in, and it was only then that Daemon responded. As many others before him had been told, one of the requirements to proceed was the Fog badge, and so Daemon challenged the gym leader on the spot. After three successive battle, he and his Pokemon were strained, and were no match for Morty's team ghost type Pokemon. Defeated and disappointed, Daemon left, and returned home. The sages were simply relieved to have the nuisance out of their tower, but Morty saw something in the young man that the others hadn't.
It took only a few days for a letter to appear in the mail from none other than the Ecruteak City Gym leader himself. It seemed as though he'd been interested enough to conduct a private investigation. He had clearly been thoroughly impressed by their battle in the tower, and he seemed delighted to discover that the very same person was an avid student of history in Johto. After that point people had reported seeing Morty training Daemon in the art of battling in private, and it was suspected that Morty had joined Daemon in his studies as well, since he no longer studied at home. The gym leader had found who he wished to be his successor, but in regards to the way that Ecruteak Gym Leaders were chosen, his word was far from sufficient to make that happen.
The training was long and rigorous, and word of the gym leader's "apprentice" seemed to make its way around the city, but the traditional, conservative sort of personality that was popular in Ecruteak did not seem to want that change to happen, but Morty knew that he couldn't be the one to challenge for the Fog Badge forever. He began to take Daemon with him on every trip to the sacred towers, and during the ceremonies to celebrate the culture and history of Ecruteak City and the legends of Johto. Perhaps the most significant step up in his fame came from one such festivals where Morty fell ill, and asked Daemon to take his place. He was assured that his role in the festival would be masked, as the "Hero of Johto" in a reenactment during which said hero fought of the evil souls which attacked Ecruteak and drove them off, but not before they set fire to the old Burned tower, a blaze which engulfed the tower and ended the life of the three legendary beasts. He fulfilled his role perfectly, and wept for the lives lost, and called down the Bird of Life to restore them, adding his own twist that he thought would add profound effect. As he "called" for Ho-oh, he procured the Rainbow Wing trinket that had been given to him by the Kimono girl's ages ago. The crowd was awestruck, when even as night came, rumor had it that a light as bright as the sun illuminated the town as the true Legendary bird was summoned down from the Bell Tower in the middle of the ceremony. When the reenactment ended the crowd erupted in applause, and it seemed undeniable that the young man who had once been nobody was a shoe-in for the next Gym Leader once Morty retired.

Their time together has been very long, and the two disciplined fighters hold each other in great respect. This Pokemon seems to have just as much a grasp on history as his master, who when seen with this Pokemon was compared to an ancient king. In the hand of Daemon, Gilgamesh is far mightier than any mortal made weapon could ever hope to be.

When he picked it up, his efforts were rewarded when the stone burned him, and as he threw the stone from him, Spiritomb emerged; a terrible omen in his city. The Pokemon haunted him for ages until he finally battled and captured the being.
