It was getting bad. Too bad. Whatever means he tried to find to alleviate the bundled knots he felt in his stomach, the jumpiness in his legs, and the restlessness in his whole being, nothing worked. He ran. He chased. He went fishing, frogging, and all manner of aquatic hunting that he could get. He made a course in the Weeping Woods with fallen logs and vines. He tried to just stay in Barth's room and cook but that had failed to keep him distracted. Standing in the kitchen, he would loose focus, find little reason to cook things sometimes, and have sudden urges just to break glass jars he was using to pickle with just to get excited over the noise. He'd tap his hooves, pace, then start laying on the floor to see if he could break a table leg with his hoof. Poor Barth's room was suffering, and he was starting to feel very bad about even being there. Despite appearing rich, Barth wasn't made of money, and his patience was being tested.

He didn't want to upset him - or become second tier to the newest addition to their growing herd.

While he was offended by the idea of being used like a domestic horse, there was a deal of satisfaction from being ridden. Christof had been his first rider, and he had loved racing with him on his back. Afterwards, he would feel content, and sleep heavy afterwards. Nowadays, Christof was busy and he didn't know who else he could trust with such a personal request. Barth had the risk of falling off, and wouldn't' respond as a rider. he needed someone who could stay awake, who was available, who he could trust, and who could actually direct him.

Ears down and feeling pathetic, his heavy hoof-falls echoed as he made the short trot from Barth's room to Zar's, and gave a steady knock. He waited, using his large eyes (primarily used for his Headlight ability) to look as pathetic and as needy as he could. Zar just HAD to say yes.

He just had to.

Zar, in stark contrast to Calder's tension and stress was one hundred times more at ease and relaxed than he had been in years. Even the recent strange collective dreams hadn't managed to dent his mood and he felt more vindicated in his life choices than he thought possible. In the strange false Wonderland he had looked upon potential futures and for once in his life, felt like he had dreams to live up to. The creature who had chosen the other path, the paperwork and drudgery had ended in ruin. He was going the right way.

When he answered the door it was with an easy confident smile, Calder's visits were more and more welcome each time they occurred. Even his style of dress was markedly different from the old uncomfortable suits he once wore, today he was wearing well fitted but rather tight suit trousers which terminated at his hocks and a pirate-like ruffled shirt left open enough to show the ink blot markings which adorned his chest.

Behind him his tail curled like that of a relaxed cat, all welcoming loops and gentle motions.

The kelpie was looking extra adorable and he was immediately suspicious what he was after. "Hello Calder." he said in a tone which was about as laden with innuendo as a greeting could be. "Can I help you?"

Stupid, sexy, smug b*****d.
Calder was in stark contrast to how Zar looked and acted. While Calder had been dressing much better these days, his constant restlessness was making it hard for him to sleep and he could never wear any of the nicer shirts or clothes he owned due to them being worn out too quickly. He wore another dark-blue tonight today, instead of going shirtless, but it was wrinkled from an unrewarding nap. He wore his kilt, though the side satchel was gone for today, left in Barth’s room. A leech was stuck on his neck, and his face looked worn along with the big, large eyes that was playing up his misery as much as he could express. His tail, at least groomed this time, was flopped on the ground lifeless.

Ears still down, he almost wanted to just turn around when he saw how relaxed and gorgeous Zar was looking today. While he did like the suits, seeing him this way showed him as more as less tense, which made Calder feel better. He seemed to have caught on to something, and he wondered if the magic of a good lay had done wonders for his world perspective. Whatever it was, he was glad he found it. Well, partly glad. It also meant that, at least today, Calder was winning the race of who was sexier.

If he didn’t have so many things on his mind, he would have left to doll up before coming back. Instead, he just felt too out of sorts to do much about it.

“Hi.” He said, in far from a silky manner as he glanced up and down the hallway before looking back at him. “You’re not busy, are you?”

The kelpie asked, trying to fix some of his bed head hair now that he was in front of Zar’s shimmering glow of sexual radiance.
“I …I need you to do something for me. …if you can. If you are up for it. Do you have any clothes more durable than that?” He asked, his speech all over the place as if he was jumpy that someone would come around the corner.

Zar was both intrigued and pleased at how ruffled and stressed out Calder looked. It was such a stark contrast to the usual situation where it was him who was the one ruffled and stressed beyond help.

"I am never too busy to help out a friend." he said, retaining that calm effortless smile. He actually felt genuinely good for a change and being generous to those less fortunate seemed most amenable.

Calder's question did make him slowly blink however, derailing his thoughts. "Erm. I am most certainly up for trying anything you should ask of me. But how durable do you mean?"

Calder glanced up and down the hallway before he stopped messing with his hair. He made a come-closer motion before moving close to whisper towards Zar's ear.

"I need you to ride me." He stepped back, looking at him for a moment as a soft pink started to move across his features. "Just...just for a little while....or longer." However long he could get Zar to stay.

Zar leaned in close to listen to what the kelpie had to say, only to pause, lean back again and give Calder a slow and measured look. It was far more indirect than usual and he couldn't be sure exactly what he was asking for. It was the kind of confusion you could only really encounter when dealing with a horse.

His tail sidled forward and had to be seized in a claw to n** that particular gesture in the bud.

"Is that innuendo or are you being...more literal?" he wasn't phased in the least whichever it was.

He looked up and down the hallway again, feeling a bit more exposed when asking this sort of thing than he would like. A kelpie asking for a rider wasn't exactly normal, or at least smiled upon. He didn't want people to get the sort of impression that he wanted to be some prized pony that loved being in a stable and wanted a saddle. He just needed some help.

"Christof used to take me out but now he's busy and I don't want to go around breaking Barth's things anymore and making him angry because he needs to save up for our new home and I just don't know what to do with myself anymore and I don't know who else to ask because Barth could hit his head if he fell off and what if he got Amnesia and forgot about me and then I'd have to remind him of all of what we were from the start and I don't know if he'd like me from scratch." He said in one big breath, pausing to take a few breathes before continuing.

"So like I can tell you how to do it and I don't know if you're any good but I really just need someone to run me through woods for a bit because if I don't I feel like I'm going to just rip the head off the next person I see or throw myself out of a window because I don' t know what's going on anymore and I just..." he was feeling a bit winded and slowly down to take a few more breathes. "...really....need your help............."

He looked up at him, catching his breath. "....please."

Zar had never seen Calder so upset before, it was unnerving. And his levels of desperations only increased the more he spoke, even derailing into paranoia and pleading.

He held up his claws in a placatory gesture. "Relax" he said. "I'll help you." He had made it sound a great deal worse than it seemed to be, riding wasn't so bad, it was all about balance and with so many appendages, wings and a decidedly goat-like nature, he was good at it.

Besides, riding on someones back wasn't so different from other in-built specialities he was all but designed around.

"I wouldn't leave you hanging when you so readily helped me out in the past."

His tail picked up and started to sway behind him. "Really? When? Can we go out now? Or do you want to get changed first?" He didn't want to ruin his good clothes. "Unless you don't want to." He didn't HAVE to change if he didn't mind his clothes getting dirty of torn by stray twigs.

"If you want I can help. Or wait inside. Or here. Or I can go downstairs and wait outside." He was trying to figure out which would be best for Zar and quicker in getting them closer to him being ridden. The sooner, the better. "I can wait outside and already be ready for you. Are you going to take long?" He looked to Zar and down the hallway to where he would already be ready to leave and be waiting outside at a moment's notice. "Do you need help getting changed?" It was something he just said without hesitation considering who his boilfriend was, and considering how long it took for Barth to get dressed. In the moment, he'd even dress Zar to help the process move more quickly along.

It was bordering on adorable. He couldn't help the impression, there was just something endearing about the stream of eager to please suggestions. Calder got a half-lidded thoughtful look. "Well I should get changed I suppose..." he said thoughtfully. "Don't want to ruin this shirt. You can come in if you like, I'll only be a minute." If he hadn't been so stressed out and very clearly impatient he might even have asked for his help getting out of his current outfit.

Turning to stroll back in, he left the door open behind him and beelined directly for his wardrobe, reaching out with his tail, wing claws and hands to nimbly shed the shirt he'd been wearing along with everything else, pulling on what could only be described as a more traditional riding outfit, complete with jodhpurs.

"This look sturdy enough?" he asked. "We can leave right now if you like."

Following inside, he shut the door and then was glad to see Zar head straight for his wardrobe. It was amazing to say the least how the demon moved his many appendages about to undress and redress, and Calder tried to imagine having extra legs or a set of hand out of his back - but more helpful like Zar's than destructive like Christof's. He would have asked more questions or watched more keenly (aside from just oogling and general curiosity) if he hadn't been pacing a bit and waiting for Zar just to get finished.

When the incubi turned about to see if he was suitable, Calder nodded quickly. "Yes. Looks great. Let's go." He said, reaching out for the demon's wrist and pulling him to the door. Zar could have decided to wear a ballroom gown and Calder would have been just fine with that. If he was fine with being naked, he would have been happier with that since it would have taken less time.

The kelpie was all set for dragging Zar out of his room and out to the campus lawn.

Zar let himself be dragged without even a word of protest, splaying his wings and tail for balance. The boil really was eager and he figured delaying any longer would simply get him picked up and carried.

"All right all right I'm coming!" he said, laughing despite himself.

Dragging Zar downstairs, he walked him across the campus lawn to the edge of the Weeping Woods before finally releasing his hostage. Turning about, he looked bright eyed at him, tail swishing about him that it looked as if he me might just take off like a hell-icopter.

"Okay. First things first. You are going to direct me since you'll be my rider. Now, I'm going to show you something, but you should only really need to touch it if things get bad." He paused, and them gave a nervous smile. "Uh, not that that will happen. Just percuations and to make sure things don't get hairy on the rare occasion something does. Ya know.....yeah."

He stepped closer and he grew very serious. "I'm going to show you something. A secret. A kelpie secret. You must not tell anyone or share this information with anyone. It's VERY important you don't."

Taking a breath, Calder reached under his shirt and fiddled with something before he pulled out a thick sliver of silver that shimmered and glistened in the patches of light from the canopy above. "This is my reign. It's what can keep me controlled. I'm showing you this because if someone holds it, they can control me. Do you understand? Don't tell anyone where I keep mine and don't go gabbing to the world for people to look for a kelpie's reign. It's very dangeorus and you'd get hurt if you did."

He tugged the reign back under his shirt. "I'm showing you this because I trust you and don't want you to get hurt. I only showed Christof and Barth this. Okay?"

Now that that was out of the way, he took a breath and stepped back. "Okay. So just run me through the woods for as long as you can. Just grab my hair and squeeze with your legs and I'll respond to you." He was practically bouncing at this point.

Without hesitation, he took another step back and then let the fog start to form about his legs. It rose up and turned to a thick cloud before dropping away to the ground like a thrown blanket to reveal a white mare.

Giving a whinny, Calder trotted around Zar two times before lowering himself down on his stomach and looking at him, waiting.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 10:34 am

Zar listened, riveted to Calder, he hadn't expected to be privy to anyone's personal secrets - after all he was hardly the most trustworthy person in Halloween - but even if he had, the kelpie boil would be low on his list of those he'd expect to trust him.

The concept of the rein itself was most interesting.

"Don't worry, I will not be telling even a soul about it. What is the point in knowing secret things if it becomes something everyone knows? No, it will between you and the people mentioned. Herd knowledge and all that." he waved a claw vaguely.

Watching the other boil shift shape made something in his nature stir, that unsettling feeling which sometimes arose when he bordered into anger or some other intense emotion. He restrained it the way he always did, and set his mind to the task at hand. But it unsettled him, he wasn't sure why it had surfaced this time when he felt both relaxed and confident.

Wandering over, he carefully climbed onto Calder's back, noting something rather unmissable as he did. "Female?" he asked, with the toothy smile audible in his tone.

Calder turned her head. "Eye." She said, voice a tad lighter in pitch and accent heavier. "There are some herds who can change their gender in all forms. I coulda been a ghoul when I was a wee thing." She rose, flicking her tail and looking back over her shoulder. "Hold mah hair and squeeze your legs. Talk ta me with your body."

And then she turned into the woods and started with a trot, using everything in her not to just bolt into a full gallop. As it was now, Zar would not be falling off, as Calder then applied the adhesive to her skin to suction Zar's rump in place.

To test him, she started heaving right for a tree.
