It wasn't long after the little tussle with the Firani that the pair reached the edge of the ocean, something that had Merikh smiling a bit, "Ahhh, here we go. Now... all we have to do is find some of the ocean dwelling dragons." He said to his living shadow. She looked at him, looked toward the water, then gave a little bit of a shrug.
The fact that they didn't know what to do next was a bit of a bother, if a slightly amusing one, but she saw no reason to help him overly much. He had told her many times before in the past that she wasn't supposed to help. Instead she was supposed to stand by, wait, and watch and if he were to get into danger, a lot of it, then she would be allowed to aid him. It was probably for the best though, she knew that Merikh was eager to become strong. He'd learned from both the boy himself as well as from his mothers. They were all eager to see him get strong but they also knew that he couldn't have his hand held, not as an Oblvionite at least. The other races might be soft but theirs was not and Merikh was most certainly not. She'd heard stories about what happened to him, about how he'd gotten himself savaged by a Ayrala when he was younger. She'd seen his scars, knew what he'd been through, and yet he was still eager to throw himself against stronger and stronger opponents. It was something that made him a fairly impressive sort to follow around.
Merikh starred at the silent girl for a long moment before he gave a bit of a laugh, "You really are the most chatty person I've ever met, Yoyo." He said, trying to bait the girl by giving her a nickname before turning to look toward the water again, "Alright, I am gonna see if I can lure anything out of the ocean by making enough racket." He told her, turning on his heel, and headed toward the water. Drawing his sword as he reached the edge of the water before he headed into it, making sure to splash about a bit as he went. He wouldn't go too deep but hopefully at least deep before to get the attention of something that might be nearby.
It took a bit of time, enough that left Merikh a little on the bored side, but he was finally able to catch the attention of something in the water. There was not one but two Peisio, a pair that were underwater a ways off shore, sleeping and enjoying the warmth of the day. It was the two of them that came surging out of the water, sending a tidal wave of water in before their arrival. The water came in quickly enough that it caught the Oblvionite off hand, knocking him off his feet, and when the water receded he was some distance up the beach again, coughing up salty water. He glanced quickly toward Yolana, finding her just standing there, arms crossed, looking bored, then back to the dragons.
"Fine, fine, I get it." He said, grabbing up his sword and pushed to his feet despite being completely soggy. She wasn't going to help unless he was in real danger, as such he should see about doing his best to deal with this pair so that she couldn't come to aid. The last thing he wanted was to be saved by a girl after all even if that was what she was hired on for.

The first couple attacks that Merikh made against the Peisio were a little laughable, the fact that they were able to slide through the water made it quite difficult for Merkih to keep up. It was a sure sign that they were a breed that he wanted to continue to fight with. He'd been looking for a challenge and they were most certainly the best challenge that he had found thus far. The hardest part of dealing with them had to be the fact that they were able to turn the water against him. Magic, again, one of those things that he wished he knew a bit more about given that all of his opponents were so keen on using it against him. It was through sheer force of his will alone that the dragons he'd met thus far hadn't entangled, zapped, burned, drown, or... whatever a Diabi might do to someone. He had to do his best to keep one step ahead of them at all times so that he wouldn't fall prey to those abilities, now being one of those time.
Racing along as quickly as he could he put a bit more distance between himself and the water, watching the dragons that were swimming back and forth, mocking him. How to deal with them, that was the question. A shame he had no way of dragging them out of the water but he couldn't really mourn for a power he never had. No reason to be sad about his inability to use magic, not when it wasn't how he wanted to fight his battles. No, he preferred being up close and personal, using the weapon that he carried against whatever opponent that got in his way. It was the same with dragons. It was far more interesting, more exciting, when it came to fighting in a hand to hand manner with opponents that were so much bigger then he was. The problem with this pair being that they were able to be one with an element that would otherwise kill him if he tried to do the same. Swimming was one thing, what they were able to do was another completely. What they were capable of told him in no uncertain terms that he would need to be that much more careful if he wanted to walk away from this in a manner that didn't involve retreat.
After a moment he set to pacing a bit, trying to figure it out. What to do, what to do? How was he supposed to get them to come out of the water and onto land where the battle would be a little less one sided? It seemed to be the question of the day that was certain. There was a part of him, however minimal, that was almost tempted to ask Yolana if she had any thoughts on the who idea. He wouldn't allow that though. He gave her a glance, looked away, back toward her, then away again. No, no... he wasn't going to ask! He would be able to figure this one out, he'd get the dragons to come out of the water himself. He just had to think that was all! A great leader had to plan or else what was the point, right?
"Alright, let's see now. How to get those stupid beasts out of the water." They didn't appear all that stupid at the moment given their reluctance to come out of the water though, huh? Something that made him grit his teeth just a bit. How he wanted nothing more then to figure out how to get them to leave the safety of the ocean and fight him! Just as that frustrated thought crossed his mind a glint caught his eye, one that flew over his head, at the Peisio, and then stuck into one of their chests. It drew a great roar from the water dwelling dragon, more from rage then pain, before it came charging out of the water toward where Merikh was standing. Whatever had just happened it was clear that the dragon blamed Merikh for it. The second Peisio didn't take all that long to follow, seeming as though it were just as eager to join in the fray. It was a welcome sight, the dragons coming to him instead of him being forced to do the opposite. Lifting up his weapon he prepared for the next round to begin as the pair of dragon closed in on where he was standing.

The first of the dragon reached Merikh pretty swiftly, he'd almost thought that they would be slowed down when they came out of the water but it seemed he was incorrect in that assumption. The dragon snapped at him, with Merikh just barely able to dodge out of the way of the initial attack. It would see now that the Peisio were lured out of the water that they were more then ready to battle with him on his own terms. The number term, of course, being that they weren't in the water when he was battling with them. When they set to dragging water forth from the ocean, twisting it and using it against him, he couldn't help but to be momentarily impressed. It was a feeling that he didn't allow to last though given he was in a battle with the dragons. No reason to stand around in awe of them when they were trying to kill him. He'd save that for later, after he'd beaten them. Then and only then he would he be able to pay them the respect that they deserved. Until then they were just another enemy to be defeated.
Quickly comparing the two dragons he found that they were the same relative size, making him wonder if they were around the same age. Maybe from the same clutch? It would mean that the two of them would work a lot harder to protect one another, something that would likely make the battle that much more interesting. It was just a guess on his part though. He knew little about dragons so they could very well be mates, friends, or just battle buddies for all he knew. He was just taking a guess at what they might meant to each other as he dodge out of the way of the attacks. There was a phrase that he'd heard many times in the past, that being 'know your enemy' and that was what he'd been attempting to do. It was better then being in the dark about them and what they might be capable of.
Another attack on the part of the Peisio, their jaws snapping at him, and this time one of them was close enough for him to take a swing at it. It wasn't a dead on shot but still a pretty decent on, one strong enough to draw a bit of blood. This caused the wounded dragon, if such a scratch could be called a wound, to retreat. As it did so the second one came forward, giving a roar, before it set to snapping at him. This one felt as though it were a touch slower, something that allowed him to get a couple attacks in against it. This one wasn't so quick to retreat, instead seeming as though it were trying to push closer and closer, snapping at him, trying to land a hit or two. He was probably lucky that both weren't of the same mind set or else he'd of likely been eaten by now. More dodging, more attacks where he could mette them out, and after a while the dragon's slowness became more and more apparent. The growing collection of small wounds was adding up, making the dragon an easier target.
When he saw the open at last he lunged forward, burying his sword into the dragon's chest. It roar, flailed, and then just started to crumble apart. It made it easier on his part since that meant that he wouldn't have to try to yank his weapon free. Whirling around, lifting up his bloodied blade, he waited for the first dragon to attack him anew.

The fight with the next dragon included a lot more dodging on Merikh's part. It was quite displeased with the lose of its companion leaving him with the urgent need to stay a step ahead of it. He didn't want to trapped in those snapping jaws after all. Instead he did his best to stay out of reach, to take swipes where he could, and otherwise do his all to face off against the water dwelling dragon. He didn't want to lose when his various battles had actually be going fairly well of late. He wouldn't say so out loud, he didn't want to curse it, at least during the battle. Once the battle was over then it was open season on bragging and he'd be the first place to do it!
More dodging, more slashing, and more dragon's blood that stained the sands at their feet. It was a promising sight, one that said that this dragon would be dead soon enough. A few more smaller attacks and one big one later and the second Peisio was crumbling again. Another win on his part, how he wished his mom and mother were here to see it he thought to himself. As that final attack felled the dragon he noticed something. When the dragon crumbled into nothingness it wasn't just the orb that hit the sand. There was also... a silver colored dagger? He walked over, picking up both orbs and the dagger, before turning back to Yolana. She instantly reached out, taking her weapon back, and sheathed it with the rest of the matched set.
Merikh starred at her for a long moment before sighing, "Well geez, take all the fun out of everything by helping me out." He said, giving her a mock pout, before he looked down at the two orbs he held, "Not a bad haul, huh? Two Peisio Orbs and right before some Firani orbs. How excellent! It meant that he was continuing onward along his way toward becoming something great, "Come on! Let's see if we can't find anything else to tussle with." He said, tossing the two Peisio orbs into his pack before moving along on his way, knowing full well that Yolana would followed, she always did after all.
