It had taken a few days to recover from the general emotional toll of White Phoenix, but she figured the best way to get back on the horse again was to just go right back out there. And besides, Zirc/Zee needed Negaverse officers, or at least connections with them, for her cause.
And if she found one she hadn't met before? Well the index was still in the back of her mind.
So things were back on schedule and the mirror cat was roaming the park in her humanoid form with cat ears. Just walking at a slow, leisurely pace with the long purple overlay dragging behind her, waiting to be found as she projected the massive, Mauvian aura.Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry for the short starter! Energy fishing usually doesn't have much to write on.

The park was well known, it had a reputation, and he had long since stopped coming here due to it. It wasn't that he couldn't handle a fight, that he was weak in some manner, but it was filled with people who projected auras normally and he did dislike it - it was too much. Tonight though he was here, wandering a bit, and already he had a few energy orbs in his pocket. Each one taken from some civilian in a quick drain of energy, he was collecting it for something, so the orbs while perfectly formed were small. He wasn't looking for big draws of energy but small ones for what he was working on.
As he drew further into the park a signature stopped him. it was familiar in that it screamed guardian cat but it was big - bigger than it should be. He had been around a cat in human form once before and this was similar.
Deciding he should investigate, and if it was a white moon cat kill it if possible, he abandoned his energy draining for now and headed that way.

"Crap," The catgirl's reaction to the aura suddenly appearing on her radar was less than graceful as she initially stumbled upon acknowledgement of it. Generals weren't usually as friendly as lower ranking officers, although plenty had been helpful and talkative rather than trying to slice and dice her.
She whirled around in in time to see the blond general in blue and froze, tail flicking back as she seemed to be mulling over his appearance. Her eyes were bright and obviously watching closely.
"Hello!" She greeted, attempting to be as cheery as possible and cover up some of the obvious skittishness at this presence.
Instinctively, the scarred leg from her encounter with Wolframite drew one step behind the rest of her.
"Friend or foe?"

What he was not expecting was to see a guardian cat in half human form, he'd only really encountered such once in the past, and that was not this one. he didn't even know the other ones name and could only just remember a vagueness of that one. it had been so long ago, and so brief an encounter.
"Friend or foe? Answer me...what side are you on?" he questioned as he looked her over. How interesting she looked. "Are you one who brings children into this war?" He asked, one hand at his side clenching for a moment before relaxing. he had a strong dislike for those who brought children into this war, he wanted to see those guardian cats dead at his feet. Was this one of them?
"Tell me who are you Guardian cat? You may call me Benitoite." Though for how long she'd be able to speak, or draw breath, he didn't know. Perhaps it depended on her answers. Was he confident in himself? yes, perhaps too confident. At least he was confident in himself and his abilities. he wasn't some weak, self doubting, Lieutenant.

Skittishness quickly turned to half lidded eyes and raised brows as she scrutinized the general's question.
"I--..." She opened her mouth to start, one finger raised, and then whatever she was about to say was quickly abandoned. The flaws she found in his question and the surrounding lines of thinking that led to such questions, she realized, were too vast and couldn't be corrected all at once, and some of her harsher opinions might sour whatever hope there was of getting to chat with him on more amiable subjects.
"I'm not native to this universe. Even if I wanted to, I am incapable of awakening senshi of all ages."
So at least that was the truth and would hopefully be an answer he found satisfactory.
"Cat's don't choose who awakens when. That is something entirely determined by a senshi's starseed and their individual destiny," She couldn't contain at least some correction, but she cleared her throat and reminded, "Not that I, in particular, awaken anyone."
She rested her hands on her hips and shifted her weight. Although his question had briefly sent her brain into stammering overload, when it rebooted she seemed to have traded the skittishness for a sassier stance.
"I'm not on anyone's side. There's more to the multiverse's existence than the Negaverse versus the White Moon." She stated flatly. "I'm Zirconia, guardian to the Black Moon. Castellan, Grand Chamberlain, servant of Queen Nehelenia and her father King Tyndareus before her, trapped in this universe after pursuing the White Moon's princess and her theft. So," She squared her shoulders and maintained a steady gaze on his actions. "I have my own problems, and no reason to adopt anyone else's enmity. Just an ambivalent third party here to trade information and resources for equal consideration," She rambled off with dramatic flourish and ended with a small curtsy.
"Is that, at least, not opposing enough to warrant a friendly chat, General Benitoite?"

Not of this universe? Incapable of awakening the children? The first thing had him thinking of the dark mirror senshi, was she similar to them? The second answer brought a pleasant smile to his lips, he was glad to hear that. She was not one of those who brought children, pre-teens, into a war that wasn't even suited for teenagers and young adults.
"That pleases me. I do not like those who bring small children into this war - it is not their place. It is barely ours but most certainly not theirs." He spoke firmly. He had never liked the idea of chibi senshi and couldn't fight them, wouldn't if asked or ordered. He had tried to put one in a garbage can in order to avoid a fight, that had failed. he had suffered rocks and stones thrown at him in order to avoid a fight, he had not once lashed out physically against the chibi senshi.
"What do you mean? Explain this to me. Because the cat does the awakening, as far as I was aware, so do they not chose to awaken that starseed?" He questioned as his interest shown suddenly. He liked to learn new things, to understand tings better, and it seemed he had something to learn here; and learn he would. "Are you telling me that the starseed, of a child even, tells a guardian cat to awaken it?" He questioned further, seeking to know what he had apparently had wrong all this time.
"You are neutral?" He questioned before nodding his head, the question really more hypothetical than anything else. She had all but said she was indeed neutral. He hadn't known any guardian cats could be such. But if she was like the dark mirror than he supposed...but they were chaos. Although they were from elsewhere, another universe, and sought to return to it? Where there chaos was good, unlike here? It was enough to drive professors in these fields insane he was sure. "Grand Chamberlain, that is an impressive title. Tell me what theft you speak of. I know nothing of this and it seems important, considering it brought you here." He spoke though the demand which might normally be in his voice was not there, it was a request.
As she finally finished speaking and ended it with a curtsy he felt the need to bow to her, a sweeping gesture of fabric, blond hair, and an arm across the chest as he did so. It wasn't meant to be so dramatic but with his uniform, with all it's long fabrics and style, and his grown out blond hair it couldn't much be helped. "Yes, I do believe a friendly chat and trading of information would be lovely. It seems you can offer me knowledge I previously did not have - stories of before my time." He added as he smiled, the mask of the cold and dangerous General leaving and in it's place was the kinder, softer spoken, General who was willing to discuss things.
"Perhaps we should find a bench so we may be comfortable while we sit and trade information and words." He offered after a moment. What could he tell her that she didn't already know? He doubted he could offer her anything really but he would find out, he wanted to hear what she knew.

It took a measured effort not to go off topic as he rattled off words and ideas she vehemently disagreed with.
From the old cat's perspective he wasn't any more or less a child than someone like Hypnos. Young, not suited for war in any way, and had all this time been blaming cats and senshi for a natural state of being as an aggressor in an army.
"It is a guardian cat's intuition that tells them when it is time to unlock a senshi's magic. Tell me, how to do you justify unlocking a person's natural magic to be bringing them to war? A senshi's magic is a natural thing, decided by their destiny. Unlocking their ability to use it is not recruiting them to war. They are not an army or awakened with a purpose to fight. They simply are what they are. The ones who bring them to war are the ones who choose to hunt them."
She rolled her shoulders. "A senshi will be hunted regardless, whether by agents of Chaos or the youma that roam the streets. It would be irresponsible to allow them to continue on when a cat could unlock the only means they have to defend themselves. Mauvians have a duty to the senshi, it would go against our nature to not assist. So no, I do not awaken anyone, but I can speak to the position a cat is put in. How old are you? You look to be quite the child yourself. Who brought you into this war, precious?" She practically cooed to him affectionately as she trotted after the shorter Negaverser to a nearby bench.
"ChibiMoon and Wiseman. Unfortunately the latter is dead but the former returned to this universe and reclaimed her title as the White Moon's princess," She sat down on the bench and crossed on leg over the other, smoothing out her skirt like a proper lady before she shifted down to a large Norwegian forest cat the same color as her lilac curls, making the entire gesture meaningless.
She continued on, grooming her claws.
"In our universe, there is no war between Earth and it's Moon. Our two kingdoms coincide peacefully, bonded by politics, trade, and magic. Since there was never a war in ancient times, magic was never hidden, and the civilizations on the main planets of the Sol system are alive and well. I served two generations of Black Moon Court royals in that universe," She said, speaking of the dubious halcyon days of home, "But your moon princess looked on our universe in jealousy and crossed the barrier, stealing our Queen's royal crystal and running away.
"We came here in pursuit of justice, but out Earth's prince and moon queen both perished to bring the victims of the 2010 coma epidemic back to consciousness. Their sacrifice saved those lives and left us stranded here after our failed mission. The war that exists in this world is unlike anything we've experienced, and one by one it took every one of us. Our captains are dead, Ares succumbed to insanity and now hollows out White Moon senshi to create housing bodies for her false senshi she calls the 'Dark Mirror Court'. Gaia has retreated into the court's comfort because corpses or no, they imitate our dead comrades. I am all that remains intact now."

As she spoke, explained things, he took a moment to interrupt; rude or not. He felt he needed to explain something, rather than let it sit there unexplained. "What surrounds a senshi's awakening is unknown to me. It had been my thought that a guardian cat chose to awaken the starseed, that while it was that which belonged to a senshi it was the cats choice whether or not to awaken it. So yes, I did work off of information I did not have but I doubt it is something I can question a senshi about." If they even knew about it. He'd also never considered asking a guardian cat about it. He had been brought into the war, of his own choosing, in a very different manner so had little to compare it to save but how he'd been brought in. And so he had done his best in making a conclusion of sorts. So he was wrong; he was learning the truth now.
"If we do not know they are a senshi they would not be hunted, at least no more than a normal civilian and be drained of some energy. To my knowledge there are few of us who take starseeds from civilians." he had done it, would in the future, but he did it so rarely. He didn't make some habit of it, he never would. it went against his reasons for fighting.
Seating himself on the bench he stared up at the female for a moment before answering her. "I'm nineteen...I'm not that young." At least he didn't feel it. he'd seen death, he'd killed, he's turned a dear friend into a youma. he'd been in fights and into space. he certainly didn't feel young but he at least didn't feel ancient and worn out - not yet anyway. He hoped he never got to feeling like that, he hoped the war ended before that point. He'd like it to end and soon so people, and the city, could get back to normalcy.
"Who brought me into this...I doubt it would be wise to speak their name." It wasn't that he figured this guardian cat would get him in trouble, what could they get him in trouble for, but rather he didn't like bringing the higher up's into things or mentioning things. He had once spoken of a truce between himself and a senshi and that senshi had misinterpreted it and gone to them saying he'd claimed a truce or whatever. he'd gotten spoken to about that. Then there was the Bazzite incident. Nope, his opinion on the higher up's was iffy at best. He didn't trust them, didn't want them involved in anything with him, and he was hesitant with them and wary of them at best. At worst he'd like to avoid them all together. So no, he didn't wish to give over the name of who had brought him into this all.
He would have questioned more, said more, but the tale she started speaking of brought a smile to his features. It wasn't what many senshi or knights saw, far from it, was soft and genuine. "It sounds lovely where your from...what I wish we had here - peace." As she mentioned the Moon Queen of here he felt the urge to speak up but held his tongue for the moment, to hear her story.
"What I was told, the story of the past, was of the Moon's princess who manipulated the Earth's prince into loving her. Nothing you'd think, or find, too evil I'd say. But that's stand alone which it does not. There is more, of course." He said as it was time for him to tell a small story. "It was through the Princess that the Moon's Queen sought to rule the Eatrh as her own. The people of Earth rose up however and fought her as much as they could, without magic and such. I was told that it was when the people entered the throne room of the palace that they were not greeted by Earth's prince but rather the Moon's Queen who lashed out and killed some and turned others into youma. It is to keep the freedom people here enjoy that I joined the war." Good intentions but perhaps the wrong methods, not that he thought so or saw that.
"Back to your dilemma however. It is because of two sacrifices that you cannot return to your home, to your universe. There is no way to open some portal back? I mean was the royal crystal found? I've seen senshi with crystals and the power they gain with them." The ambush, he remembered that vividly. "If it's still here can't it be found and perhaps help to open a portal so you could return as well as this Gaia?" He questioned gently. Wanting to help her as he felt sorrow for her loss. To not be back in a peaceful place as she had described, briefly as it was, he knew he would miss such a place. "And what of ChibiMoon? You said she returned to this universe...where was she and is she originally from here?" This whole universe thing he figured could become very confusing, something he hoped didn't happen, as he tried to understand everything and keep up.
"Ares...I've never met her, only seen her, but she's from your universe. What happened to her that you title her insane? And false senshi? You mean the dark mirror senshi aren't like her? senshi from your universe put into bodies here? If not then what are they? They certainly are senshi." Or where they? Was there going to be some massive revelations tonight?

"Regardless, as the hunter you are the aggressor, darling," She was not above arguing semantics and taking him on various tangents. "Accept your role as they accept theirs."
There was no malice or judgement in her tone, but it was constated in a soft tone of motherly authority. The now fully feline creature seemed to be finishing her assessment of her front claws, and her tail swished behind her when he let her know he was nineteen and 'not that young'. By all accounts her human body was nearing twenty-six and her guardian cat soul was over a century old, so she couldn't help but disagree with a light and airy laugh before she wedged her head under his hand to force petting.
"No matter who installed us into the machine, we are all at fault for our own status within it," She decided, and left it at that rather than pry into his recruitment. She broached the topic to make him think, and she didn't need anything more from him about that.
She listened to his story, instantly picking out the parallels and constants. Some things stayed the same across universes, it sounded like. But as he went on, she slowly became more and more skeptical of the validity of such things. She was silently pondering after he was done, and decided that this version-- unheard by her up to this point-- would need to be recorded. ChibiMoon was genocidal and a thief, but she could vaguely think, if she sifted through Zirconia's memories, that she owed something to the queen. Hadn't their life been spared by her once? That cautionary tale of alternate futures had ruled their lives in a distant past.
It would need more analysis to find the grains of truth among the lies, but the fluffy cat rolled over lazily to bat at his hand and sleeves as she thought about it.
"Precious..." She started, a question forming on the end of her musing. "Aren't youma tools of the Negaverse and Chaos borne?" And if so, "Wouldn't the White Moon senshi be utilizing them instead of yourselves?"
Admittedly she didn't know much about youma, but she knew monsters.
"Opening the portal requires a royal from our universe, well versed in our magic," She informed him. "Ares is no Nehelenia, she can't even properly bond souls and if she could open the portal she would've taken her court and gone home. With Earth's prince and the Moon's queen dead, I'm afraid I'm just trapped."
And honestly, Zia's only qualm with that was she couldn't eject this foreign soul from her and be done with it. With the Zirconia soul proper lying dormant, pretending was exhausting.
"Our queen retrieved her crystal in time to open the portal to bring me over, to watch over those who could not go home before she went to end the suffering caused by the coma epidemic. I haven't seen it since. I guess... I've assumed all this time it died with her."
She did have to snort a bit at the mention of Gaia's name. "Gaia is lost to the Dark Mirror Court. She's dead now too."
"ChibiMoon is the moon princess, silly. The next in line. Or was. Sailor Europa says she's gone now. Whether she's lost or dead I'm certain it was not nearly the justice deserved by all who suffered under her selfish and childish commands."
She lazily rolled back over and positioned herself to her back haunches and pawed at his shoulder. Rather than answer his questions about Ares and the ark Mirror Court, she asked him questions instead. "How many starseeds have you pulled, Benitoite? Did they glow and glimmer and radiate with energy? Were they bright and shiny prisms of life?"

"Moving his hand to pet her, as she seemed to want his attention focused on her petting her, he was gentle and focused behind her ears. Did cats like that area? he knew his dog did. "In the interest of not fighting over who is what I will say we are both aggressors." He might normally fight and argue this but not now, not when he was learning from this feline. She was an interesting guardian cat as she had a knowledge he wanted, desired to know, and he hoped she would continue to bestow upon him.
Yes, he supposed they were all at fault for their status in this war, and that made sense. They were not all at fault for joining the war, he didn't say that though. It didn't need to be said in his opinion.
Watching her roll over and play with his sleeves he smiled and shifted so he could pull off his cape and coat. it allowed more of the lacy, long, sleeves to be free for her to play with. He might be an gent of chaos, a General, but he wasn't evil. He was still human and very much capable of doing something so natural like letting a cat play with his uniform.
"They are what happens when too much energy is taken in and the starseed shatters. Eating too many starseeds can cause it, an overload, or...or someone pushing too much energy into a starseed, such as a person trying to upgrade someone when they can't harness the power to do it. All it is...is a starseed being shattered, at least as far as I know. So I would say that perhaps either side can make them? I don't know what those of the white moon can do, or knights, but if they can somehow shatter a starseed I assume they can do it also? That is the idea to the story, the Moon Queen's attack did just that - shattered starseeds." Biting his lip, wondering if he should say more, he sighed after a moment, moving his hand to pet her tummy.
"Down where we have our base, or part of it, the walls..it's like glass. You can see the souls, or spirits, of trapped people. Screaming and moving. It's what's left of them. They are trapped. But also we have some youma who have a bar even. So some are human enough in some ways, as they serve officers and plays music; though I wouldn't suggest drinking everything offered without sniffing it first." he stated while pulling a disgusted face at the memories of vinegar, dirty water, and more.
"I see...but a crystal can die? How is that? Perhaps it is still out there. But who could use it if it's out there? To help you return or perhaps bring forth more help." He whispered more to himself than to her, although he wouldn't mind if she answered. it was all very interesting and not something he knew about. "Coma incident?" He questioned with a head tilting. while he continued petting her tummy. "So the dark mirror is different from your senshi, the ones you knew, and if those you do know join the dark mirror they...change?" He asked trying to understand it all, it did sound confusing to be honest.
"Childish and selfish commands? Tell me about that later." he said, wanting to hear about this. it wasn't important but it was still interesting to hear about a senshi's personality and learn about this one. What had she done? What was she like.
Watching the cat move and paw at hs shoulder he flashed her a smile before looking honestly surprised. "Hmm....I know I took a civilian one as the firs ti took, the person didn't die right away. Then I know I took a senshi up in space and a senshi in a bus stop. I took one, or two maybe, at the ambush. I've taken maybe ten...I'll guess at that number but no more and most from senshi. They shone brightly, the civilian ones not as much as the senshi's starseeds. I've always considered them peoples souls, at least that's how I view them." Shrugging his shoulders as he leaned in to nuzzle the cats face.
"Why do you want to know about them, about how many I've taken?" Would she be angry, claw him or bite him? Would she scold him?

Listening to his explanation of youma, her eyes shifted this way and that, thinking. It was more information than she’d ever gotten on how they were made, but some questions were left unanswered, and she had a feeling she should take some of what was being said with a grain of salt.
But shattered starseeds was a method she hadn’t considered, and when she considered her own starseed, merging slowly into Zirconia’s foreign one and the way they both resisted, possibilities started creeping in that she would rather see pushed out of her mind. She simply shuddered, and didn’t say a word, filing away the information for later.
There was the point of fact youma always had Chaos auras, but the thought that they could be made by order was an interesting one that warranted further investigation later. For now, they were talking about mirror things.
“A crystal can die, I think. Or maybe it just fades, and waits for reincarnation or a new senshi royal to awaken it or find it again…” She murmured at the thought and the bobbed her head to the side, looking away. “But I am not a senshi and I am certainly not a royal, so even if such things were possible and the crystals could be reclaimed in this universe, there is no one who could do it.”
She went back to listening to his questions of how the dark mirror was different, and his answers to her starseed questions, and she ceased his petting with very stern paws moving his hand out of the way. She shifted back up to a humanoid and leaned on bare arm on his shoulder, the bangles on her wrists clinking in the process.
“No one in this universe,” She started, “Can obtain access to mirror magic without a little help. When a soul from another universe comes over, the body can’t come with it. It needs to be put in a physical host. That is the only way any being who was born here could possibly use this magic. No one can learn it. It’s special.”
If anything her travels and experiments and investigations hadn’t uncovered anything similar, native to the White Moon’s universe. It all came from her home.
“When we were brought over, we could communicate with our hosts. Two beings coexisting in one physical form, and either one could take control. We have all of our memories, of our time back in our own bodies and our time in this one. Our hosts maintain their memories. All of us are whole souls, who simply have to share one form for a while. But the Dark Mirror aren’t whole.
“They don’t remember anything of their native universe, and while they access their host, the former White Moon body they occupy as a parasite, they feel a disconnection. Those aren’t their memories and while some live in denial, others… others can admit it with some pressing. A small whisper that their existence isn’t what it all appears. They are broken, half souls who can’t even fully remember what they used to be. But their host is dead. Their voice is silenced.”
She pulled a small object from subspace, the way most guardians provided gadgets or tokens.
But when she held it up to him, it was a starseed, or at least shaped like one. It was the right size, and the right general appearance, but it appeared to be made of small mirrors instead. You couldn’t see through it, and it didn’t shine or glow.
“This is a Dark Mirror starseed,” She said firmly. “The souls you took were alive and bright. You knew it when you saw it, but this? There’s no life. It’s just pieced together, powering a broken body stitched from stolen half souls and a dead White Moon senshi. They’re monsters, but sad creatures. Limping through life as amalgamations of dead things sewn together like Frankenstein and his tragic creature.”
And she hoped that tied it together well enough as she brought what seemed like a story back around to elaborate on why she had answered his question with more questions.

"Interesting...either way, death or fading. It is interesting." And she wasn't sure either way, or if it was something else, but she also couldn't do anything it seemed. It seemed she was stuck in a rather annoying situation, one he'd want out of were he in it. He'd want back to where he'd come from, it sounded like she'd come from a better place.
As she moved his hand he permitted it, wondering what she would do next. At least she wasn't like a normal cat? She didn't bite or claw at his hand to get away from it.
Watching her shift back to a humanish form was interesting, almost like how easily he powered up, but different still. He still looked human, fully, and he hadn't been an animal moments before hand. Listening to her speak he nodded his head. "I see. The soul and body thing makes sense. I suppose the magic as well. I wouldn't think I could learn senshi or knight magic either." Well, he could technically learn knight magic...if he changed sides. That wasn't about to happen but it was still possible really. "So how is it that Ares was able to become this Dark Mirror senshi...what did this for her first? She is no longer as she was - I assume?" He questioned. What had she been like before hand? It sounded like she was different now, as a dark mirror royal, but what had done it.
"I see...i always wondered if I could ask Remarque about his home planet in the other universe..I suppose you've just handled that for me, I can't ask him. he won't know. It's sad I suppose, I mean I assume they know that the universe their soul comes from is better than this one? Something instinctual maybe?" He was perhaps grasping at straws with that, assuming those of the dark mirror knew their home universe was better than here. It was all so odd and interesting though, complicated, it would drive those who dealt with such things insane but fascinate them all the same.
"So wait...the person who Remarque was before he became a dark mirror...the civilian...is dead? But than what about the memories and the civilian side there now?" He asked. This was startling information and shocking to say the least, and his eyes did all the speaking that his lips didn't.
Surprised to see her pull something from..wherever they all pulled things from he stared. it looked like a starseed but it didn't shine and glow like one, it felt and looked wrong. "A dark mirror starseed..." Shaking his head he than nodded his head. "Yes, the ones I took I knew were alive, they were bright and shone. I wonder if they know...and I wonder if in the long run this'll have some negative effect on them. Can't the white moon senshi in them somehow take over or is it as dead as the civilian they'd been before becoming a dark mirror senshi?" He liked Remarque and Leto, he liked the dark mirror senshi as a general sort of thing, but he had to wonder about this now. This seemed to be something against nature. he knew if someone removed his starseed it would shine, even if it was dark, it wouldn't look like this certainly.
"It seems...wrong - against nature. It's sad also.." he whispered while reaching out to touch the odd starseed. "It's shaped right but it's wrong. I've seen enough starseeds to know this."

Something in her expression dampened. Even when serious, even when grim, she seemed to have a brightness in her eyes that always shone when she was sharing information. Teaching, filling her purpose. But it suddenly went out.
“It’s not their universe,” She said in a low and possessive tone that may have been contradictory and maybe untrue. But regardless, a shiver of nausea had shot down her spine when he called it Remarque’s home. There was no Remarque, she mentally told herself. There were ten senshi. The only senshi that mattered.
An emotional divide gave way to a physical one as she scooted away from him, no longer plying the general with superficial gestures of affection. To her, the Dark Mirror Court was an abomination. A mockery of her dead comrades constructed from the corpses of White Moon hosts. She pulled her knees up to her seat and rested her chin on them, and looked in another direction off into space with narrowed eyes.
“Memories? You can see them. They don’t feel like yours but you can access the memories of a body you’re in just fine. I can remember going to high school here, learning to drive a car, all the memories that belong to this body.”
Zee always felt weird pretending to be Zirconia proper, but it was more and more natural as time went on.
“I think it’s like… memories are stored in the brain as well as the soul. I don’t know, that was always my theory. You can tell which ones are yours and which ones aren’t, they just feel… alien, I guess. But if they don’t have any of their own to reference they probably just assume the ones they’ve got are theirs. Some of them have said their memories before corruption feel… I think she used the word ‘detached’.”
Her gaze shifted to the mirrorseed in her hand and she rolled it between her fingers with a sulky and lackluster sort of flavor to her motions.
“The White Moon senshi and the civilian are one person, one soul. I think they’re dead. At the very least their voices are silenced. Death would be a mercy, rather than to see and think and feel what’s being done with your face but unable to communicate.”
She had, in fact, personally experienced such things.
She continued hugging her knees and hid the lower half of her face against her arms. Sulky kitty.

Had he said, or done, something wrong? It had to have been something he'd said - ah! There it was. He had said something wrong. But he'd honestly thought the soul, the new one in the body, had come from the other universe and wouldn't that make it their universe? If they were from it. Apparently not. Biting his lip he took a moment before bowing his head a bit, letting his bangs fall into his face. "I apologize, this is not an easy thing to grasp. I think this whole thing would confuse, but also interest, those who deal with this whole thing as a profession and are experts in their fields."
Reaching out to the other figure he was hesitant in putting a hand on her shoulder. "So then it's two sets of memories in one body, that has to be confusing especially if some conflict." He stated as he thought about that. This was a lot of information, all of it, and yet he thought he was handling it all fairly well. He wasn't waving and flapping his hands about or being loud or gasping over everything he was learning. Not to say he wasn't shocked by some of the things he was being told, he was, but he was seeking to learn everything he could from this conversation. This may never be put to use by him but it was still good to know, to understand. This whole war and all the players in it, the factions in it, were interesting and were different and needed to be understood and learned from.
"I think I understand and perhaps maybe not dead but sleeping? Another mercy I guess, not being dead but not being aware of your bodies acting without your command. I can't imagine if I were locked away in my mind and watching my body act - I think I'd be horrified and internally depressed and after realizing I couldn't take back over."
Shaking his head he shifted and moved closer to her. Hesitating, again, as he draped an arm about her and tried to shift her toward himself as if to offer comfort if it was needed. "It's sad, all of it, but your story is equally sad. To have two persons in one body and one unable to return home. I hope that eventually a way to separate the two persons inside is found." And he did, his voice was sincere. "But I also hope something can help those of the dark mirror then also. I don't know what though."(So sorry it took so long. But with work, school, and then the meta. : biggrin ies:: )
