Mister Monster Guy
In a boarded up room his body lies, huddled into himself and trembling under a great force radiating from his core. His heartbeat pounds in his head, louder than his gasps for air, louder than his helpless cries of pain, louder than his thoughts... his thoughts, so distant. Red fills his vision, and the monster returns another night.

You heard it was going to be a lunar eclipse tonight, and thinking it exciting you decide to head outside and take a look for yourself. After all, a lunar eclipse by itself is rare, but on a full moon? The thought borders on magical. As you watch the eclipse take place, the moon slowly turning a deep red, you hear the strangest noise you've ever heard, almost like a mix between shouting and roaring.
...No. It can't be. But he'd been doing so well, he hadn't escaped in months! You quickly hurry back inside and lock the doors, even if you know locks won't do much to keep out the force you're up against. You stay as quiet as possible, you know that as long as he doesn't notice you he won't go after you, and he sounded far away, so maybe he'll pass by-
The door nearly buckles under the force of a giant creature crashing into it. You scream involuntarily and sprint to your room, you have to find something made of silver and fast. You hear the door splinter and the beast enter. ...Very fast. Your hands tremble as you scramble and search, oh god where is it, where is it?! You can hear the monster's labored breathing as it nears your door, and you see a ring glinting silver on your dresser and make a mad dash for it as your door is forced off its hinges and the giant blue creature bursts in, snarling in a feral rage. In one quick movement you slip on the ring and extend the ringed hand out in a balled fist at the monster.
The seconds seem to linger as the beast stays there silently and unmoving, its eyes red as the eclipse in the sky as it scans you, finally laying its gaze onto the silver ring. ...Ever so slowly, the beast backs up out of your room, yet lingers at a certain distance before snarling at you again. You step towards it with your fist still extended and it backs up once more and finally seems to decide you're not worth the trouble and leaves. You let out a shaky long breath before flopping onto your bed. At first your can't stop watching the door in case he comes back, but as the adrenaline dies down you find yourself falling asleep...
You hear a howl and sit up in a fright, and in your doorway you could have sworn you saw the monster's silhouette, but no one is there. ...But something is there, specifically a blue box lying under your door-frame. Slowly getting up, you examine the box and pick it up. You look out your window to try to get a feeling of the time and notice the eclipse has passed, and the moon is back to its usual soft light. Interesting. You turn your attention to the box again and see a small note attached, one that is shakily handwritten, almost illegible:
"M-nst-r do bad. Mo-s-t-r so-ry. Giv- gift to fri-nd."

"I need to invest in silver door jams or something." Minty said as she shivered, hugging herself on the bed.
Carefully, she unwrapped the present, quietly in case big blue and scary was still lurking somewhere nearby.
"Aw, Monster. You get me." She giggled, putting on the perfect security blanket for a lunar eclipse night.
