Persephone loved exploring the city, and tonight, she was specifically near a very lovely little dance school. She had hoped that there would be late-night classes, so that she might drain a few young dancers of their energy, but she was unfortunately unlucky. They had already closed down for the evening.
So instead, she sat on the edge of the roof, feet hanging down and eyes on the street below for anything else to distract her this evening.

Celaeno had decided to patrol tonight. It was one of her first patrols ever, since she'd only been told last week that she was a Senshi. It was still a strange idea, but she was supposed to protect people, which meant keeping an eye out for trouble. She didn't know a lot about the area yet, but she did know the location of every dance studio in the city. Within the first two weeks of moving here, she'd toured all of them. Tonight she decided to head to one that she was considering taking a few drop in classes at later in the week.
If it had been a week ago, she would have been more than shocked to see someone sitting on the roof of the building, but now everything seemed possible, and even normal! Something didn't feel right about this person though. The energy was similar to the other Senshi she had met, but different. Celaeno didn't quite know what it was, but she was curious. Hopping onto a roof a few buildings down, she walked, quietly, toward the sitting figure, trying to figure out what kind of a person this was.

The prickling of an Order aura had Persephone lifting her head, and a smile slowly crossed her face. It was that of a first-level Senshi, she knew that much, and oh, she hoped this was someone new to the war because they were her favorites.
Even as the Sensih approached, she didn't move, except to kick her feet a little. Perhaps she was too unconcerned, but then, nothing about this seemed particularly dangerous, and if it got that way, well - she was even less afraid of fighting.
"You don't have to be scared," she said, in a form of greeting, "I'm not going to hurt you."

Celaeno froze as the other figure looked to her and spoke. A strange prickling sensation was making her skin crawl. Even though this other person said that she wasn't going to hurt her, Celaeno's instincts were telling her otherwise. There was definitely something menacing about this woman. Still, her curiosity got the best of her, and she took a few steps towards the other woman.
It seemed like an obvious question to ask, but it was out of her mouth before she had a chance to think about it. "Why would you hurt me?" Her footsteps here still soft. She was glad that her uniform didn't include heels like some of the other Senshi she'd met. It was much easier to be quiet without heels. Her hands ran over the lace on her skirt, as she stopped again, not near to the other one, but close enough to get a better look.

With the question that came from the other Senshi, Persephone shifted positions so quickly she might have teleported and then stood up, straightening her skirt. She turned to face her, a gentle smile on her face - but there was no ignoring the holes in her chest and forehead, crackling marks of her corruption.
"Oh, most Order folk I find seem to either be nervous or want to kill me. The price of being a Chaos-aligned Senshi, I suppose." She curtsied politely, as best she could with her dress. "Eternal Sailor Persephone, at your service. May I ask your name?"

She froze for a moment. Chaos-aligned Senshi? What did that even mean? Celaeno looked over her as she faced her. What...what were those holes in her chest and forehead? Swallowing, she looked at the other Senshi's face. She didn't look threatening, but there was still something putting her on edge. Were there different kinds of Senshi? She'd just learned about the knights and the youma and the Negaverse agents. Was this Senshi part of that? And she was an Eternal? She did know that that was the strongest a Senshi could get. Common sense told her that she should tread lightly, but she didn't hesitate to introduce herself.
"Eternal Sailor Persephone, I'm Sailor Celaeno." She tucked her foot back and curtsied as well. "Why would they want to kill you? If you're a Senshi, I mean."

Persephone stood still under Celaeno's scrutiny, simply tilting her head to the side and taking a moment to consider the girl's uniform. Frilly, cute, deeply impractical - almost reminiscent of a ballerina, which was just precious.
Precious, baby, and Order, which meant that soon enough someone would break her the way Leto had broken Persephone.
"Oh, gosh, well - apparently they think I've picked the wrong side, with the whole...Chaos thing. Natural enemies, and all."

It was like the thought just hit her square between the eyes. She'd known about the Negaverse agents, but she hadn't realized that Senshi could play for either side. The anxious feeling she'd had upon sighting Persephone fluttered in her stomach. Celaeno did feel a little uneasy under the other Senshi's gaze. It just felt like she was sizing her up, analyzing her every moment and aspect. Still, she didn't seem bad. Just different. And after all, if she was a Senshi, they had to have something in common, right?
"I didn't know we got to pick sides. I thought we were just kind of...on them?" Her naivety was obvious, and it made her self conscious. Suddenly she wished that she hadn't decided to patrol alone tonight. She would have given anything for the company of the Squire Sutai she'd met the other night. A friendly face would have been some comfort in this situation.

"I chose," Persephone said, and her voice was soft for a moment. "A year and a half ago, a cat by the name of Derpraline gave me a henshin pen and told me I was Sailor...well, she called me Sephonie." She smiled faintly. "For the next year, I was a soldier for Order - but I found that I was useless, lonely, and pretty much totally incompetent. So...six months ago, I asked General-King Zinkenite to corrupt me. And he did, and here we are."
She skimped on a lot of the details. Celaeno did not need to know about Team Cornucopia, about Biela, about any of that. If she found out from someone else, fine, but Persephone kept those events close. "We may not choose which side we start out on, but we can all choose where we end up."
