Layers of grime covered room 103 in a musty film. What little clothing the girl had was strewn across the floor. Her books had been rearranged in the shape of a p***s at the side of the room. Obscene drawings littered the pages of her journals. To her dismay, the most recent journal before her repodding was missing a handful of pages.
On one hand, Hanna was happy that no one had reassigned her room to someone else. (Though it did strike her as odd -- as did the whole why-was-I-podded-in-the-first-place thing. But one mystery at a time...) On the other, she was vexed that the only signs of use were from where someone had obviously used her bed and floor as some sort of private lounge. Condom wrappers mixed with food wrappers and dirty blankets.
Hanna had ignored the mess for as long as she could, but it had been several days and she finally had a couple hours of free time. It was time to tackle the grime. Her hair was tied back in two short pigtails, and she wore a pair of running capris and a loose t-shirt that said Always with Severus Snape's doe patronus on it. You could take the girl out of the hallucination that she was Hermione Granger, but you couldn't take the Harry Potter love out of the girl.
The door to her room was open, as was the window, to try to air out the stink. She had one full bag of trash sitting outside her door, and a pile of clothing that needed to be washed in the other.
This was going to take awhile.

It had been months since Candace had had time to roam the island. It was nice to have some rest, she needed to get reacquainted with the island. The click of her heels announced her presence as she walked down the long, long hallway of the dorms. She looked for familiar names, unfamiliar names, faces, signs. The trash bag definitely got her attention, it wasn't something one saw often unless there was someone moving out or moving in.
Let's see who it is! It's been quite some time since we were social!
Perhaps..
With a quiet hum under her breath she stopped in the open doorway, stepping carefully around the two bags by the door so she could lean against the doorframe with her arms crossed just under her chest. She watched the girl without a word, a look of curiosity crossing over her features. She looks familiar..
"Did we have a wild party last night?" She finally asked with a chuckle.

The sound of footsteps down the hallway was not an unfamiliar sound so Hanna completely ignored it, at least until she heard the squeak of someone leaning against the doorframe. And then a voice, a weirdly familiar voice. Straightening up, the redhead turned to face the person who had spoken, wiping her forward with the back of her hand. Eyes started at the face and then bounced up and down a few times.
Wait a minute... "Candace?" Hanna said at last. 2.5 years might have passed for the dark-skinned girl, but for Hanna, it felt like just yesterday. "What the hell -- CANDACE. You're real! You're..." She paused. "You are real, right?" After all that nonsense with Alice, Hanna didn't quite trust her own brain, which was a hard thing for her to deal with.
"I mean, it's me -- it's Hanna. We were on the Island together. I've... I've been gone for... awhile," she added, trying to refresh the other girl's memory.
