In all of the years I've been on Gaia, in towns, etc....this is the very first time that I have gotten a monarch X3 & I was only in the towns for a few minutes no less. I'm so thrilled X3 I still have quite a few to go but perhaps I might have gotten a strange stroke of luck :3
One can hope anyway!

That sounds pretty intense. Which I find ironic 'cause Towns is supposed to be laid-back and relaxing. xD

I'm starting to wonder if the rare bugs are just superlatives of their common counterparts. The only rare bug that I've caught was a Purple Fly, and it's just...bigger and faster than a regular fly. It's about 3x as big in terms of pixels, and it moves as fast as a normal dragonfly. I'm guessing that's why the Monarch didn't move for a while. Normal butterflies are slow and hardly move, so Monarchs are even lazier. xD

I do the same thing with flies....since I lost track of them so often. They're so dang small XD That's hilarious. Did it take awhile to catch it? I heard they're hard to catch, but since I've never seen one, I don't quite know why it's harder... Like it's faster? Or you get a lot of %$%# even when you're close by it? @__@

Or you get a lot of %$%# even when you're close by it? @__@ Yea the only thing I've ever encountered are rhino beetles. I didn't get that symbol message when you miss catching it. I caught it on the first try. But oddly the blue butterflies will sometimes give me that !$*#%$ message thing XD & any giftboxes/trunks in towns....god that took me ages to catch. But yea it was just like catching any other bug XD

Yay! Congrats.
You wouldn't happen to note down the town zip code by any chance? I'm thinking of collecting rare bug data in hopes of being able to predict where they'll appear next.
