Attacking Need 16+ to hit 2 + 13 = 15, not dmg
Briella smiled. She had been asking around since the end of the battle against the Oban people who wanted to practice and finally found someone who would do so. He was younger, but he also had a lance which she wasn't use to dealing with. It would be good practice for her, of that she was sure. Plus she knew it would be good for him, after all he would be fighting people with more experience on the battle field.
"Okay, ready? Don't worry about going easy, the healers are standing by. I mean don't try to kill me or anything, but there is no sense in going easy?"
And with that Briella went towards Sauron with her blades. She missed him however, but it was all good. She was just getting started.

"Well, I should warn you that even though I am green, I didn't even get a scratch in the previous battle against the Obans. And thank you for that, Im not exactly proud of who I became during that battle and I don't really want to hurt you. It is comforting that you have a lot of experience just in case I go all out. I'm not sure how much of a conscious decision this is and I hope this battle will shed some light on it. Usually I'm quite gentle until someone threatens a loved one."
And following her attack he struck out fast with his spear and wonder of wonders actually hit her. He felt bad but she had asked him to fight so he would try not to get himself pummeled too much...Kelina would laugh at him for getting beat up by someone on his own side.

Even though he wasn't a sister it was good to know that they had someone on their side that was new but yet also good enough to not get hurt. "Ah than you have natural talent in you. That is always welcomed." she said, the praise evident in her voice. "Yes, the war is something none of us ever thought we would have to face. It brings out a side of us that no one likes. You just have to learn to harness that and only use it on the battlefield."
Her first attack missed, but his struck and well. It was a strong attack. He was an asset, that was for sure. "I can see why you did so well on the battlefield." she said with a laugh before slashing out with her blades once again. This time luckily her attack hit!

Attempting to Dodge16+3 = 19 no damage Sauron gulped and saw those blades come for him. He twisted on his heel and they fell harmlessly away from him. But now he was starting to sweat. That would have hurt if it had landed on him. He calculated using the cunning that came to him during battle. He lunged and retaliated. It was just a scratch to her, but he needed every advantage he could get. He was glad she understood, and her words greatly comforted him. "You know in my spare time.. I collect moss, there is nothing less violent then collecting moss." He shook his head. Such was life. A paradox, peace and violence and he supposed if he didn't take care of his moss that it could be considered violent, for some species he used it to heal others. He hoped he had never depleted a moss reserve to far. This was great in a battle and his poor head full of moss. 16+7 /5 = 4.6 dmg.

She swore that that one was going to stick. Sure this was a matter of training of course, but that didn't mean she didn't want to win. After all she was older and a sister, if she lost to him... Well she would never stop hearing it from Ilyra or her other sisters.
Since she wasn't paying attention he managed to land another hit on her. She was starting to see more and more how he had ended up not hurt. She went for another strike, this one a little more precise and with less power behind it.
"Before this whole thing I was just a mother, and although that is a war in itself I never really thought I'd fight a real war." she said with a laugh. It was amusing, but sad also. She was a mother that had to watch her daughter fight in a way that she didn't even want to be part of. How was that fair?

9+3 = 12 Full Damage! (Finally!) Attempting to dodge again. Okay, okay so he was a chicken but if she managed to touch him he would be a pancake. This was not easy. But his focus returned and he tried to sidle out of the way again. Use the speed, use the speed. And ow hey that hurt, this actually getting hit thing.

He snarled at her, the pain stunning him into being less then polite. So then he went into Retaliate mode and raced after her, bleeding slightly but not as hurt as he could be. He managed to get a small retaliatory poke in. "I'm glad you are on my side." he panted out. He couldn't help but admire her for hitting him.

"And I am very glad to have you on my side as well." she said with a smile. She looked over at the damage he had done to her. "You have not missed your mark once, impressive for someone who collects moss." she said with a nod of her head.
She moved towards again, trying to be careful once again so he could not avoid her attack again. He was good at it though, so she wouldn't be surprised if she missed.

Oh this would hurt, he better dodge this or he was toast! The dodge failed at the blow raing his gong so hard he crumpled to the ground in a heap. He waved weakly at her. 'Good game." he grinned. "I look forward to another battle in the future my lady."

As soon as he was on the floor she put her swords away and went to him. "I look forward to seeing you get better with time. If you'd like I can take you to the healers and than maybe give you some pointers?" she asked offering him her arm to steady himself when he got up.
