Silence. small waterfalls fell around her, but her body was still. Her legs were drawn beneath her and her arms were crossed on her legs. It almost looked like she was meditating. She was resting at the top of the stairs in front of a old ruined building on a landing before more stairs that extended up either side of her. Water streamed down the stairs on either side of her, pouring down the stairs in front of her in a small stream. The light from the evening sun caught perfectly through the windows above her and had the area glowing with light all around her. Pollen could be seen floating in the air around her, likely only visible due to the concentration of sunlight. Further away from here were Area's cast in shadows from the light, but she seemed to not even pay them a mind as she rested. Her opponent could come from anywhere around her, and yet she held this oddly relaxed posture. It went without saying that she was not in a position to where she could quickly move to defend herself if someone tried to sneak attack her.
"They're here somewhere." She said softly to herself. Her attire was strange, and unusual for these parts. It was a surprising mix of modern and oriental clothing, making it questionable on how well she could fight in it. Regardless, resting in front of her was a sword in a dark sheath with bright red markings down it. A handle was visible near the guard of the sword on the sheath, though what it's purpose was, was unknown. The sword was certainly close enough that she could reach it if she leaned forward, but she was sitting with her back straight in a very formal position. Again, this seemed like something that would cause issues in a combat situation such as what she was in. And still, she did not seem to care.
"Celsius, do you think I'll lose control again?" "It probably can't be helped Child, but I will help you if you do."

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ Short heels clicked on the rocks below them as a young lady made her way through this forested location. She had no idea where she was, or why she was hear in the first place. One minute she was speaking with her sister and the next she woke up in a glade of flowers. Yet oddly, the young woman did not seem panicked rather much more irritated at the moment. She conversed with her inner serpent but even he could not place them. Whatever the case, the princess of the Way of the Moon could figure it out eventually. All she could do now was just continue on this path. There was a lot of water here, with it came vegetation. Eventually, she came upon n opening into an underground cavern. Huffing a bit, she carefully traversed down the rocky slope before she landed on a moist patch of earth. Taking a moment to look around, she noticed this place looked like ruins from a forgotten time. Water cascaded down from many places and a brook flowed through here. Well good to know if she got stuck she could probably make do here for the night. However something caught her eye. It was a figure. At the top of the stairs a young woman rested with a weapon before her. Did she live here? The Nipal girl brushed her fingers tips past the weapon dangling on her belt. She furrowed her brow not liking the situation, but never the less put a smile on her face before approaching the staircase. "Oye~ Hello there! I seem to be lost! Do you know where we are? Just tryin' to get home, ya know?" she called out to the girl and rubbed the back of her head a bit embarrassed. Who was this girl? And where was this place?

"She's here, Iayis."
Iayis had not moved during the whole span of time since she had started waiting until this moment, and the movement was so slight that it probably seemed like a minor detail. Her eyes opened. The bi-colored eyes, blue and green, focused on the woman who had made her way into the ruins. Iayis's weapon still remained resting on the ground, just out of reach in front of her as she looked down the stairs to the woman. Even from here, Iayis could see much about the woman and read her like a book. Her father would have been proud. The very fact that the woman was armed meant she was the one that the illusion had spoke of.
'So this is who I'm supposed to kill.'
"I'm in the same position you are in." Iayis stated calmly, not bothering to shift her posture or even relax it. Having taken in the sight of the woman, Iayis's eyes closed again. The woman was older than her, or at least looked it. "This is someone's idea of a game. We're here to fight, to kill, for someone's amusement." Iayis stated calmly, her voice and posture showing little in the way of feelings or emotions. There was something just slightly wrong about her though, it was like she was purposefully acting this way, and that this was unusual for her. Even more odd was the tense atmosphere, but the lack of tenseness in Iayis's voice. She seemed to be the pinnacle of relaxed here.
"The rules, as I understand are simple. Kill your opponent, and you go home." Iayis's eyes opened again, and slowly she rose to a standing position. The wind played with the long sleeves on her top, causing them to sway as she looked down at the woman with a very passive gaze. She didn't seem angry, she didn't seem upset, she really didn't seem anything. She just seemed present. "If your goal is to get home, that means you have to kill me." Iayis stated calmly. She said little more on the matter. In reality, Iayis would probably not have chosen to attack the woman, but her reasons were her own. But if the woman wanted to get home, alive as Iayis understood, the woman would have to kill her.

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ "Nope." The young woman responded and took a moment to examine some moss on the cavern walls. She had heard everything the other young lady explained to her and just like that Lili's mind was made up. "I'm not going to play someone's game and be forced to fight another person." She replied turning back to the other girl. She offered the other girl a smile and realized she hadn't introduced herself yet.
"Oh sorry, that was rude of me. My name is Lisandra Nipal. Or Lili for short if that's too long for ya" she laughed a bit and gestured in greetings. "Now about this business" Lili began to be a hand on her hip. "Like my daddy always says, 'There's always another way, you just haven't looked for it yet'" she began trying to do her best impression of her father before giggling a bit.
"Basically, I'm sure there's another way outta here. We just have to look for it. I'm not going to kill you and you're not going to kill me. We aren't somebody's toys, right?" She said and ran her fingers over a large leaf before plucking it at the root. She walked to the brook and let the water wash over it before carefully trapping a small pool of water on the leaf. Cupping it with care she walked up the stairs to the other girl and offered it to her. "Here, you look like you could use some" she said with a cheerful grin. "You're in luck, my daddy also taught me some neat tricks if I were to ever find myself lost like this. We're gonna be fine" she reassured her in a friendly tone.

'She's careless.' Iayis thought, watching the woman. A soft sigh escaped Iayis's lips as she shook her head. She didn't actually say anything in response to the woman's comments, instead holding whatever response she had to herself. The woman decided, oddly, to be friendly and offer her name. Iayis was not so willing to speak up. She held her silence for the moment, watching the women as she moved. Every movement was caught by Iayis. Iayis didn't actually move from her standing position until Lisandra had made it nearly halfway up the stairs. Her movement could have almost certainly been taken as hostile though, there was no doubt about that.
With a practiced ease of someone who knew the balance of their weapon to an alarming standard, Iayis shifted her foot forward, knocking her sword onto the top of her foot where she kicked it up into the air. Her left hand grabbed the sheath, perfectly inside the hand guard on it as she pulled the blade to her side. Her right hand dropped into the sword handle and gripped it loosely. It was really the only warning the woman had to stop. It was fairly obvious Iayis was not alright with her coming any closer. The only thing that might have saved her from looking instantly hostile and like she would attack was the fact that Iayis did not move forward at all. In fact, the way she adjusted her stance was a defensive one.
"Iayis Lancaster. Ia is what I go by since most people stumble over Iayis." Iayis returned calmly. There was an oddly tense air about her though, like the very thought of having her sword in her hands was making her act a bit differently. Perhaps there was a reason she had kept it out of reach...? "Four days. I've been here for four days. Someone like you is the reason I'm here, so don't step any closer. I may not wish to attack you, but I will defend myself if you come a step closer." It was a warning, Iayis was warning Lisandra off. If Lisandra so much as made a single step forward, Iayis was going to pull her sword part of the way out of her sheath.
"I have no reason to trust you. This could easily be a ploy to get close so that you can attack while my guard is down."

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ "Sheesh, it's just water. Relax." The young woman raised an eyebrow at the young woman's sudden hostility. Yet still, she maintained her composure and took the water for herself before discarding the leaf. This girl was here for 4 days huh? Well suppose the amazon behavior could be chalked up to that. She was suppose to kill her in order to return home?
No matter how many times Lili thought about it, that was just an idea that was not appealing at all. There was more than one way to skin a cat. "Believe me sweet pea, if I wanted to attack you I would have already done it. I already told you I'm not going to fight you so cut the tough girl act." She responded and descended the stairs heading back to where she entered the cavern.
Obviously talking to this girl wasn't going to get her anywhere, so better take matters into her own hands. Lili took a minute and really took in her surroundings. This was some kind of forest and the water was flowing downstream. Then again, perhaps there was something in that glade of flowers she missed. Worth a look. The blonde reached into her pocket and pulled out a simple band to tie her hair up into a ponytail so it was out of her face. With turned back to Ia "Well you can stay here if you want to, but I'm gonna find another way out. Seeya sweet pea. I'll bring food if I don't find something. Get some wood if you aren't doing anything though." Lili gestured then took to ascending the rocky slope back up toward the entrance. Worse come to worse she'd just follow the water downstream. Then again she could always set up a camp in the cavern, assuming edgy girl could play nice.

Clearly the woman did not understand why Iayis did not want her near. It had nothing to do with the water she held in her hand. No, it was the notion of the woman getting close that was the problem. Iayis's expression darkened somewhat when the woman seemed to decide to chide her. As quick as the expression came, Iayis brought her hand to her head and started muttering to herself. It was hard to tell just what she was saying, but it sounded like "no." After a moment, the dark expression passed, as did whatever Iayis was doing. Her expression had lightened back to normal as she raised her eyes. Iayis slowly blinked as she focused on Lisandra again.
"Stop calling me that. I told you what you can call me, and that was not one of the things I said." Iayis was surprisingly serious on the matter, clearly not pleased with being called 'sweet pea'. Slowly, Iayis knelt back down and placed her sword on the ground again. Seeming to disregard what the woman had said, Iayis took a step back from her weapon and slowly slipped back into the sitting position she had been in before, sitting on her legs in a very formal posture, arms resting on her thighs. "You won't find much in the way of getting out, I already looked. As I said, if you want out, you'll have to kill me. If you're content to stay here, fell free. It makes no difference to me, but things come out in the dark." Iayis offered no explanation the 'things' she was speaking about as she closed her eyes.
Why did she keep falling into this position, and what was she even doing? There were actually a number of questions Lisandra could have pondered about the strange girl. She did not seem to leave the stone area she was resting on, nor did she seem to want to cause harm to Lili. Even with that, it was clear if Lili approached, she would attack. Just what was it that was wrong with her that she was acting so oddly? "When you give up searching, I will be here, regardless of the time that has passed." Iayis called after Lili. It seemed odd that she would say this. After all, why wouldn't she leave? Why did she know that Lili would fail to find a way out?

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ On and on this forest seemed to extend. Granted this was a nice place, but every single time she would walk past the same damn cave she left Ia in. Whatever this place was, it may have been like Ia had said. The only way to escape was to kill the other person. Too bad though, Lili had already decided she would have no part of it. So on she marched until the sun had begun to set. On the bright side, she managed to catched a few rabbits to skin and cook. They already had fresh water so all they really needed to do was manage a fire. With all the wood in the cave from the ruins it shouldn't be too hard.
So Lili descended back into the cave and glanced at Ia. After that she placed the rabbit on the staircase and began to gather some easily flammable shrubbery. Dry would be optimal and thankfully she managed to track some down. Lili took the rabbits and ascended the staircase. She smiled a bit to Ia, but mostly this move was just to get to some higher ground.
A better vantage point if this area had any nasty predators. She moved from Ia and put some somewhat large stones in a circle. Gathering the shrubbery, Lili took a stick and began to rub it with both hands. Starting from the top and moving down to the bottom over and over again. This was to increase the friction and spark an ember. A bit of smoke began to light and Lili quickly began to blow on it until she could see a visible flame. She quickly placed it down and stacked on some of the loose wood she found around the area. Before long a comfortable fire had started and the blonde stretched pleased with herself.
Now the next part would be messy. So Lili rolled up her sleeves and took a simple knife hidden on her upper thigh, strapped there just in case. With a grunt of effort she stabbed the knife into the rabbit's belly and gutted it. Then once its unwanted contents were removed, she skinned it. She placed one over the fire but noticed a...curious thing. Usually with a fire like this she would feel heat. But...all she felt was a same cold she had awakened in. "Well...that's odd" Lili muttered and sat by the fire beginning to use her head. This place...obviously wasn't right. But where exactly were they? Asking her Inner GF, he was also confused as to the nature of this place.

Ia had not moved since Lili had left, in fact even when she returned Ia remained in the same seated posture and relaxed. Ia didn't actually open her eyes to regard Lili until Lili started climbing the stairs, at which point Ia watched her until she moved a safe distance away. At which point, Ia went right back to closing her eyes. It looked like she might have been meditating. Perhaps it was Ia trying to prove a point, but the girl said nothing as Lili started a fire and attempted to skin the rabbits to make food. It wasn't until Lili commented on something was odd that Ia even bothered to say a word about it. Ia suspected Lili would not like her comment though.
"It's not real." Ia said without much sympathy for Lili. "Neither is that rabbit. If you eat it, it won't do anything for you. There's a reason I didn't waste the energy to help you. As far as I can tell, almost everything here is face. The only thing that seems realistic is the water, which asks questions itself. I've not really had time to look into it to figure out what's so special about the water that it's real. It's probably just real to ensure I didn't die while I was waiting for you to show up." Ia explained. She was being surprisingly explanative for someone whom had remained silent as Lili had went off to gather food and look for a way out. "You wouldn't have believe me if I told you, so it was best for you to figure it out on your own." Ia added a moment later, slowly opening her eyes and looking down at the sword that rested just a few feet from her. Just out of reach.
"There are very few things here that I can are real. Our senses are being fooled into thinking this is all this way. Maybe this place is actually real, but the rest of the forest is not. I don't really know. That would require me to be able to get outside the place to tell, which i can't really do." Ia said, seemingly disinterested in the whole matter before closing her eyes again. "Still insistent on not killing me?" The reason for this random question would become clear in only a short while.
