As some of you may have seen, the official website for Games Workshop is currently down.
They have said that it is down for maintenance and that when it returns it will come back bearing gifts (According to the emails they sent out, the website just says that our patience will be rewarded).
I'm now curious to know what those gifts will be - is it possible it is down to coincide with the release of Imperial Guard or do you think it's something else?
I'm also curious to see what the new website will look like (If there will be any aesthetic changes made to it).
So, what do you all make of this?
(Also have any of you checked out the new official blog for Warhammer World?

Interesting, maybe some more IG release stuff? I don't know what else is on the schedule at the moment, might just be a standard maintenance message...

well it wont be any physical gifts. Even when I pay for their stuff I feel like I am getting ripped off cat_xp (Australian prices are almost Double US ones and our dollar = 90US cents.)
probably just a better site with better UI cat_ninja

AmeliaParadox well it wont be any physical gifts. Even when I pay for their stuff I feel like I am getting ripped off cat_xp (Australian prices are almost Double US ones and our dollar = 90US cents.) probably just a better site with better UI cat_ninja Downside of living on an island on the opposite side of the world. *patpat* sad

The site is being revamped and rebuilt with perhaps the most interesting feature being that Forge World may become an integrated part of the GW experience. Which is good, as you're no longer require a credit card to buy FW stuff and be forced to pay an additional 15% extra for "shipping".
As for the gifts..
- Digital freebies.
- Free shipping over a certain amount of expenses.
- A free plastic Chapter Master mini, not tied to any Chapter in particular.

Vikki Stardust * Free pickup from Games Workshop stores (no matter how much you order). I thought you already could get that before the revamp....? (At least that's what happened every time I've ordered, but then I did pay in-store through the website for it so I don't know if paying directly on the site makes a difference) The new site looks really nice compared to the old one in my opinion. However it seems like they have fully gotten rid of all of the specialist games that they used to sell now, which is a shame, I really liked some of their models for use with my Dark Eldar.
