Tau was staring into the space behind his house with a look of exasperation on his face. Oh good. Now what was he going to do with it? He hadn’t quite figured out how he was going to take care of it, and after telling his mother, it hadn’t gone well. He rubbed his face before stomping to the back where he had it tied up. ”Alright now. I’m not playing any games here. You’re mine now. You listen to me.” He poked it in the chest to prove his point.
The scorra shook his feathers, cawing out in a low rumble. It didn’t like being poked. It lifted its useless wings before shaking again and puffing itself. Tau barked out a laugh. Did it really think he was scared of it? Stupid thing. Its name was fitting now, wasn’t it? Tau poked it in the chest again, a smirk on his face. ”And what do you think you’re going to do about it?” He laughed out again, a hearty laugh, though it was cut short. The scorra used its long neck to rear back and head butt Tau right in the gut. The rope it was tied to the house with was short, but it wasn’t short enough. Tau lost his wind with an ”Oof” before rubbing his stomach, tears in his eyes. ”Hey! I wasn’t ready for it.” He mumbled under his breath, grumbling much like the scorra had been just seconds ago. ”Keep it up I’m going to wring your neck.”
The scorra squawked out in haughty approval.
