Today was a good day for the young colt. No shadow trying to eat him or the horrible sounds of laughter filling his ears. In fact, he was having a pretty good day just running around the forest looking for new places to explore. He explored a cave the other day and ended up getting his hoof stuck in a hole. That wasn’t fun at all, but luckily his father knew where he was playing so he found him then helped him out of the situation.

Right now though, he was so happy to be alone and not have those weird things following him again. They spooked him out and there were only a few times where he actually stayed there long enough to see if they would harm him. By they, he meant his hallucinations, which were very real to him. Just as real as he was. He had problems, but his father accepted them and he would in no way disown him for something he couldn’t control. He loved all of his children and loved that they were all very different.

Then it happened.

“Oh stop it. I’m not playing hide and go seek today.” He said eyeing the dark shadowy creature. He didn’t know that it wasn’t there and if he did, he would probably be devastated.

He turned around to see if the little creature was there only to see it wasn’t. “Oh well..” He shrugged his shoulders and pressed on wondering if he would be able to find something interesting in the forest this time.
