The hunting party, along with Junjie and his two Kiandri, were squatted down close to the warm sand, watching the creatures that were nearby. They were circling around the caravan, weapons in hand. It was obvious that someone had to still be inside there, it was the only explanation for why they were still circling. It was something that worried Junjie like nothing else, "We have to get rid of them, they have already killed members of that group, they will kill whoever is left." He murmured, hand tightening on his staff, "There are..." He paused a moment counting them, then motioned with his hand, "There are a lot of them, at least twelve of them that I can see. My Khehora and I should be able to take the ones closest to the caravan. Once we get passed them we will get in, save whoever is left in the caravan, and then we will all meet back here. Does that sound alright?" Junjie wasn't exactly the best when it came to planning for more then just himself and Khehora but he would do his best.
He turned to look at the others in the group and asked of them, "Can I ask you to get rid of the rest of them? I am afraid that I won't be able to concentrate on battle if the one inside needs healing." He knew that it was a lot to ask of the men he was with, especially since they had come here wanting to hunt Gaili. He was just hoping that they would be able to take the second group of Ordon because that would help both sides, that way they each only had to deal with much smaller groups of Ordon. When he got a nod from the other men and the hunters set to drawing their weapons he gave a sigh of relief, "Alright, thank you. Abellio, Arjan, let's get going. We need to get to the caravan as fast as we can."
Pushing up to his feet he started forward toward the Ordon. It seemed at least for the moment that they didn't see him coming, that they were too caught up in trying to get closer to the caravan and whatever was inside it. It would give him time to prepare he thought to himself, gathering some magic power to him. The green energy first swirled around his staff and then the rest of him. Alongside of him Abellio and Arjan did the same thing, both gathering their own personal power to themselves. They needed to be prepared for what was coming, they'd never battled anything like this after all, and Junjie meant to try to strike the first blow.
The first of the Ordon that they were to face, the smaller of the group, were the ones that he decided that they would focus on first. They seemed to be staying stationary, waiting and watching, while two bigger ones were circling the caravan and jabbing at it with their spears. While they weren't looking, and while their superiors were distracted, was when he would strike! Lifting his staff up, leveling it at the creatures in front of them, Junjie sent out a blast of magical energy, and sent one of them flying through the air.
The body of that particular Ordon hit the ground hard a good distance from where it had been standing and didn't rise back up, something that gave him hope as far as defeating the rest of them went. He shifted his stance, lifting his weapon up, while the others, rather startled members of the group he had taken turned around to face him. He was readying himself for his next attack when Arjan suddenly lunged forward and spat out a ball of electrical energy at one of the Ordon. It flew forward, slamming into one of the smaller Ordon in the chest while Abellio entangled the second one of them in some of dry, crust roots that he was able to summon forth. It was something that made the pair of them much easier targets, something that Junjie appreciated greatly.
"Good job you two, keep it up!" He called out to them as he sent out another blast of green tinted energy, a bigger one this time around, one that was able hit and kill both of the Ordon that the Khehora had stunned for him, "Excellent! I am so proud of you both." He praised them, starting forward once more, stalking toward the remaining Ordon with the pair of Khehora flanking him as they always did.
The two of them were gathering more energy the themselves, the same thing that Junjie was doing, preparing for the battle against the next two Ordon. The two of them appeared to be a lot bigger, a lot older and more experienced too if he had to guess, and they also carried with them some rather big weapons as well. He gave the pair a once over before he said to his Khehora, "Let's be careful with these two, we don't want to risk getting hurt when we are playing the part of heroes, not when whoever is in the caravan is still waiting for us."
Arjan gave a huffing sound before, rolling his eyes over that warning, before he said, "Pft, as if these weaklings will be able to harm us, Jun." He muttered before he turned his attention back to the Ordon that were starring at them now. In an instantly one of them was on Junjie, bringing his weapon down at Junjie. The hybrid was able to bring up his staff, though just barely, to deflect the attack away from him. The Ordon bounced back a couple steps lifting his weapon up, taking a slash at him... but the spear never met him. Instead it was entangled in vines sent the Ordon's way by a growling Abellio.
Junjie gave a sigh of relief before he smiled at Abellio, "Thank you, Abellio." He said a moment before Arjan spat more electrical energy at the Ordon, giving it a shock that caused it to abandon the spear. Barehanded now it once more lunged toward Junjie but this time he was able to retaliate, knocking the creature off kilter by a flash of bright, blinding light. The Ordon gave a screech, clawed hands lifting up to scratch at its eyes, trying to clear its temporary blindness. That gave Jun an opening to send another blast of energy at the blinded Ordon. It hit it, sending it staggering, but it was still standing. Another good, hard hit and it finally collapsed into a still heap.
Junjie drew in a deep breath, held it a moment, then let it out slowly, "Phew... alright, next?" He murmured, looking around, trying to find the second one of the spear wielding Ordon. The creature gave a snarling sound at him, teeth barred, looking more then a little displeased with them. The fact that they had been able to take out a good number of the Ordon had not only riled the final one up but it had also helped it to learn more about the three of them, what they were capable of, and maybe even how to battle them? They were close now to the caravan, only one last Ordon stood between them, and they were going to have to deal with it.
He lifted his staff up toward the Ordon... only to end up with the creature kicking a bunch of sand his way. Junjie lifted his sleeve up to try to protect himself from it... but he was a little too slow. He gave a curse, rubbing at his eyes, blinded temporarily by the sand, "Abellio, Arjan! I can't see! Stay on guard! He called out to his Khehora, worry in his tone, hating the fact that he wasn't able to see where the Ordon was at the moment. Instantly the pair of Khehora were rushing to his side, defending him with their impressive size as well as their magic. While it wasn't as powerful as that a feral Khehora could muster it was at least enough to hold the spear wielding Ordon at bay while Junjie cleared the sand from his eyes.
"We have your back, Junjie, don't worry!" Abellio said, hissing at the Ordon, taking a swipe at it with his tail, an attack that was mimicked by Arjan. They were normally at odds but at least for this moment the two of them were working together, not about to let their personal differences to cause Junjie to get hurt. He was after all the only thing that the pair would ever agree over, especially when it came to his safety being the most important thing to the both of them. After the battle was over they would return to their arguing but for the time being they seemed to be pretty well synced up and ready to defend Junjie against this scaly threat! Only once they were sure that their bonded was alright would they back down and allow the battle to resume.

Once he was finally able to clear the sand from his eyes and was able to see again Junjie looked passed his snarling Khehora at the Ordon that was still between the lot of them and the caravan. Other then the sounds of the two sides growling at one another he couldn't hear anything. Sure, there were the distant sounds of the battle between the hunters and the other group of Ordon but from the caravan he heard... nothing. Did that mean that they were too late? It was a thought that he immediately quashed, not even wanting to consider for a moment that they hadn't gotten to the caravan fast enough. No, they would get to it, they would see who was inside, and he would help them!
Drawing in a deep breath he gathered more powerful to him, preparing another attack. Once he felt that he had enough he called out, "Abellio, Arjan, duck!" The moment that the two had done so he released the energy in a more concentrated beam, one that shot straight through the big Ordon's chest. The creature staggered a moment, lifting one clawed hand to clutch at the wound, before falling face first into the sand. Junjie lifted a hand to rub it against his eyes, "Eesh, head rush..." He felt as though he'd perhaps used a bit too much in that last attacked but no matter. He had done what had to be done to make sure that they would be able to finally get to the caravan!
"Come on! We have to get to the caravan now." He said to his Khehora as he rushed forward, covering the ground between them and the wrecked caravan as quickly as he could. The moment he looked inside his eyes went wide, "Oh... geez... hold on, I'm here!" He said, crawling into the wreckage. He could see inside a woman of Oblvionite decent, one that was looking quite roughed up at the moment. She must have been what they were after, the last survivor of the caravan, and one that wouldn't make it much longer if he didn't get to her.
As he got closer, lifting his hands toward her, the woman suddenly reached out, grabbing hold of his wrists, and dragged him closer. There was no anger on her face, even though he knew that she knew what he was. Despite being mixed she merely clung to him before saying the most terrifying phrase that he'd ever heard in his life time, "Please... you have to save my baby..." Something that had him scrambling to try to do just that. It took him but a moment to realize that it wasn't a baby she was trying to protect from the Ordon but one that she was still carrying... He wasn't sure if he would be able to save them, he'd never dealt with wounds like the ones she had before, but he meant to do his very best for her and the child she was carrying.
Junjie could only hope and pray to whatever God or Goddess that was listening that he'd be able to help them with his meager power even though she was of a different race then those he usually prayed to. For a moment he even considered praying to Soudana if it meant saving them but given he wasn't sure how the Dark Goddess might take that he instead pushed aside his fervent mental prayers and set to work.
