Mintaka's patrols had become less important as finals for school had taken over. Balancing roof jumping and youma's with homework and school was tiring. Added to the regal lessons her parents insisted on, the girl didn't have much rest.
She would laugh at the idea of the wicked not getting rest, but it was more like no one got rest.
She wearily looked at the rooftops, got a running start and almost faltered as a new signature, one she had never felt before slammed into her senses. If she was to describe it, it felt...Grey...
And cat like.
Narrowing her eyes, she searched for the aura, scanning the area when she saw a cat on the rooftop.
Feeling almost like a fool, Mintaka approached said cat.
"Excuse me...Are you a guardian cat?"

The cat ears weren't attached to a normal feline, since what popped up to greet the curious senshi was a guardian cat in the only form it had that emitted an aura. And it was a massive aura.
A girl with cat ears and a tail sprang to her bare feet at the sudden presence of a senshi and after a brief moment to stare at the new aura in the area, her ear twitched and she bounced again, anklets and bangles jingling with the motion.
"Yes, I am! Smart senshi. Who are you?"
Not anyone for her index, that was for sure, but a new face was a new face and senshi would always hit a soft spot in the old guardian's heart.

Mintaka stared as the cat but not cat came out.
She had not seen a not cat but was a cat. This was a guardian? She just thought they...were talking cryptic cats. And her aura was massive! Like...like Remarque or Zinkenite aura.
Was she a Queen Cat? (obviously not a prince or general-king)
"You...you're....You look human..." She stuttered, forgetting manners in her shock, "Well except cat ears and tail but...Do all guardian cats do that?" She blinked so much. Maybe rubbed her eyes a little to make sure she wasn't seeing things.
She also had to remember she was in a new strange world and anything could be possible.
"I didn't know you could turn...human..ish." She rubbed her face. It was just so...shocking.

"Oh, well," She stopped and picked up the sides of her overlay skirt and looked down at her outfit before flashing a sheepish smile to the poor, confused senshi, and finally gave her a shrug.
"Yes. Guardian cats are actually an alien species called Mauvians, and they can all achieve this state. They may not be totally aware of it, though."
She shifted down to her full feline form, ceasing the aura and appearing only as a fluffy lilac Norwegian forest cat with a deep purple crescent on her forehead. "Is this more comfortable for you?" She asked, tail swaying back and forth as she casually started grooming with her paws.
"You must be new."

"I...Well...I see then." She wanted to sit, but decided that she should stop being so shocked that such things happened. After all, to be fair, There was a universe of possibility she had yet to discover.
Mauvians, oh how she wished she had a notebook to write that down. It was another factor in the war, and a race that she had to learn about.
"I see!" She rubbed her face, repeating herself as the girl transformed down into a cat. The massive aura disappeared, relieving her a bit of the stress of it. The senshi bent down, resting her arms on her knee's to keep level with the queen cat.
"Well....You are certainly cute as a cat as well so...I guess this is better?" She blinked, "I am, I haven't been a senshi too long." She bit her lip. "Oh..OH!" She exclaimed.
"I've been so rude, just sitting here staring at you. I am so sorry. My name is Mintaka, Senshi of Origami? And you are-" She paused, "Are you the queen of the cats?"

"Oh, thank you," She couldn't look disinterested in anything but grooming for long, not when she was being flattered to such a degree.
The way to her heart was definitely through her ego and she decided to let Mintaka know this by getting up and forcing her head under her hand to engineer pets. Yes. Good senshi.
She had to laugh at the concept of being the queen of cats. "Oh, no, not really. I served a Moon Queen once, though! That is why I have a moon on my forehead instead of the standard star. Mauvians have a lot of magical energy, see, it's difficult to keep tapped down when we use out humanoid forms.
"I'm Zirconia, Castellan of the Black Moon. It's nice to meet you, Mintaka!"

Mintaka reached out to give the cat well...the scratches she wanted, her hand running over the soft lavender fur. She was fond of cats thankfully, more elegant then most dogs but...dogs weren't bad either.
"You're really soft! It's hard to believe you can turn into...humanish form too." She scratched the ears gently again.
"Moon queen, of the white court." Mintaka's interest perked more, "Was it Serenity? Or chibi moon?" The senshi blinked.
"So other's have stars and you have a moon." She filed that away.
"It's nice to meet you as well Zirconia. What is the black moon?"

"Mauvians are a highly evolved species, we have a lot of tricks," The furbag preened and seem to melt into a pillowy pile as Mintaka scratched her ears.
The mention of ChibiMoon made her whole body tense and fur bristle, though. There was evidently some bad blood there.
"No. Nehelenia. Queen of the Black Moon Court," She gestured one paw vaguely upwards at the night sky. "Not this moon. The moon in the universe beyond the mirror. Where I come from."

"Tricks." Mintaka laughed a bit, wrapping her arms around her knees. Just because it seemed Zirconia was happy with the scratches and pets, Mintaka kept them up. Again not minding as she was fond of cats and particularly like the reaction.
"Oh...I'm sorry." Mintaka tried to smooth Zirconia's fur as it startled to bristle at the mention of chibi moon's name. Though she had no idea about the princess...or senshi. Beyond that she was the white court queen's daughter or whatever.
"Black moon." Mintaka blinked, "Mirror? Like the Dark Mirror Court?" Thoroughly interested, Mintaka scooted a bit closer. "But I've talked to royalty of the black moon court, and he's never mentioned this Nehelenia?" Did this make Zirconia a chaos kitty?

The tension was maintained thoroughly as Mintaka compared it to the Dark Mirror Court, and when she said she had spoken to their prince and called him Black Moon royalty, Zirconia, in one smooth transition of motions, shifted back up to her human form and slapped the senshi's hand away.
It took all her efforts not to do more than that.
"The Dark Mirror court doesn't come from the Black Moon, they have no memories of that place," And she rested on hand on the bench, and stared Mintaka down to let her know how deadly serious she was. "And if you ever call Remarque 'Black Moon Royalty' again I'll throw you into the wasteland of mirrorspace and let the wraiths have at you."
Realizing the threat may have been a little harsh, she directed her gaze away and started fiddling with her bracelets. But the glare and clenched teeth were still present.
"They killed my court and stole my magic, it's not their's, they have nothing to do with my universe, or where that magic came from. They only stole it, so don't you ever put a fake prince of a pretend court on such a lofty position as true Black Moon royalty again."

Mintaka was completely off guard as Zirconia changed, and slapped her hand away. She brought it closer to her chest, unsure why it was warranted that she would ever get such a treatment.
And then she was threatened. Mintaka's chin lifted just a bit, her body starting to close itself off. It didn't matter what happened at this point, she had been treated rudely. Her protective instinct was to shut herself down, turn into that of an ice queen. ( CONCEAL DON'T FEEL).
She listened to what Zirconia had said, because it was information. Because it was another look at the Dark Mirror Court. But she didn't let it blemish the pleasant of both Chariklo and Remarque had done for her.
"I see." Mintaka dropped her hands and brushed her skirt off. "I am sorry for your loss." Her voice was clipped and neutral. "And it wasn't to my knowledge till today that the Dark Mirror Court had done such a thing. Unfortunately there is no manual or book of what evil deeds the white court, the dark mirror court nor the negaverse do." She liked Remarque. He had been polite and sharing. he didn't deserve to be discredited for the royalty he was, even by one of a court that was already diminshed.
"Since it seems I have offended you, I think it's time to take my leave." The voice remained neutral as Mintaka took a step back. "Have a good rest of your night then."

"No, all it takes is one liar to say something first to make a gullible acolyte, doesn't it," The Muavian said and folded her arms, turning away from the exiting senshi. She was too busy with her own wounds, stung by that one comment of ignorance earlier.
She didn't make motions to apologize, she didn't further decry Remarque as a fake prince to a usurper in a dead court of zombies who stole magic and names from her, she just scowled off into some distance and didn't look.
"Don't come back."

Mintaka nodded, turning on her heel and dropping from the roof with a silent fall. Her aura would disappear moments later, most likely due to her powering down.
Zirconia, a guardian cat with a past of her own, and not one Mintaka cared to delve into.
Instead, perhaps she could find Remarque and ask him about more of his court.
