Neptune swam happily ahead of Pearl, his turtle friend, darting between rays of sunlight, a game he and his brother played quite often. He wasn't too far from their home for he was still a bit afraid to lose Whisper again. They had been separated for such a long time, he never wanted that to happen again.
Pearl called to him, "Don't get too far ahead. You know you're faster than me."
He called back to her. "Oh I won't Pearly. Don't worry."
Even though he was all grown up, he was still young at heart, always finding something fun to do.

Hippocampus always did enjoy swimming around, darting from one spot to the next, then calmly floating for a bit. Floating and taking in the calm for a minute is something he had gotten into the habit of doing. A kind of quirk. He was sure why he ended up doing it, just felt like he had to.
As he flitted about in the water, he decided on a spot that looked good to nose around for some shells. Approaching the spot, he carefully moved his nose around the sand. After looking for a bit, he felt something! Pulling it out, it was a beautifully colorful piece of coral!
Happy with his find he quickly turned and started on his way, not paying attention, he bumped into another Seathi!

Neptune had turned to look at Pearl, not focusing on what was ahead of him, when she called loudly, "Look out behin---" Ooomph! Neptune bumped smack into something. He turned around quickly to realize it was another seathi!
He was so excited to see another seathi, that he didn't care that he had bumped into him. "OHh! Hi there! I've never seen you before. I'm Neptune, glad to meet you. What's your name?" he said, almost all in one breath.
Pearl swam slowly, catching up with the two.She smiled quietly at the two of them, happy Neptune had found a friend, hopefully. She was a bit weary, that he had gotten so excited before even officially meeting the other seathi though. She didn't want his heart to be broken in case this one wasn't the friendly sort.

Hippocampus regained a bit of his composure, clearly a bit more stunned than the other he had bumped into that there had been another even there!
"Oh. Hello there." He was a bit slow in the response for a second, his mind catching up with what had just happened. Shaking his head he looked at the other seathi. "Oh! I'm so sorry! My name is Hippocampus, or Hippo for short."
He took a bit of a breath since he wasn't sure if this other was actually excited, or he just hadn't realized what had happened yet.
"I've never seen you before either. Glad to meet you too considering the circumstances."
Hippo looked around a bit. Slowly coming to the thought that he had dropped the piece of coral he had gathered.
"My piece of coral..." He looked under where they were floating.

"Neptune..." Pearl said cautiously with a tone of worry to her voice, "Who's your new friend? You should apologize for bumping into him."
Neptune smiled widely at Pearl. "He just said his name is Hippo!" He turned to to him, "Nice to meet you Hippo. That's Pearl. She's my best friend. And I'm sorry I swam into you. I was swimming backwards and didn't see you." Neptune swam around Hippo in a circle, flitting quickly in his excitement. "I'm so happy to meet another Seathi! Besides my brother, I don't really know any others. Not yet anyway."
Neptune looked down as Hippo did, "Oh! I'll get it!" he called as he quickly swam down towards the bottom.

Hippo nodded at the other, watching as Neptune swam around him.
"It's okay! I wasn't watching where I was going either..." He glanced over at the turtle. "It's so cool that your friend is a turtle!"
He looked at the other and then watched Neptune as he swam down after his piece of coral. Swimming down a bit more to meet the other, he looked and watched.
