Hi, my name is Desmond Goldwind.
I'm a guy.
I work in the Ministry of Magic as the Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
I'm 45 years old.
My birthday is June 2, 1982.
My dream job is well, I've already done it. I was a beater for England for thirteen years, and then moved on into a ministry job.
My blood status is Half-Blood.
The house I was in was Gryffindor.
I was in the class of 2000.
I'm interested in women.
I'm currently with no one. I just got a divorce, so....
I may seem pretty easygoing and relaxed but I'm really impulsive and headstrong about many things. I have a tendency to stand up for what I believe in, and I also have a protective streak. Most of the time it's with friends and family, but sometimes it's directed at strangers.
My background story is well, I was born into a family of four. I'm the oldest, and I have a younger brother named Ian. We were raised together, and for the first eleven years of my life, everything was fine. We had no problems, and for the most part everything seemed to be normal. Unfortunately, I found out I was actually my father's son through a previous marriage. Apparently my real mother decided to have an affair, and then abandoned my father and I before I turned one. Evidently she couldn't stand the idea of having children or something, and I have never met her.
When I found this out, I was devastated, and blamed my father, and consequently the rest of my family, for something they didn't do. I became angry and lashed out at everyone, and I'm pretty sure that it was with a breath of relief that my family sent me to Hogwarts. Even there, however, I was still a problem, as I became the least favorite student for my professors. I argued in my classes, never completed my work on time, and generally caused trouble. I'm pretty sure the headmaster was at his wit's end with me, and had the patience of a saint.
One thing that prevented me from being expelled was probably the fact that I participated in Quidditch. It helped me to vent a lot of my frustrations, though apparently not enough. When Ian started school, we argued. We fought a lot, actually. I was a beater on the Gryffindor team, and Ian was a Slytherin beater. We never missed an opportunity to try and hit bludgers at each other, and we had plenty of bruises and broken bones to prove it. We kept it up until my sixth year and Ian's fourth, when an accident on the pitch happened.
Apparently, during the Gryffindor-Slytherin match, Ian hit a bludger toward me. I don't really remember what happened, actually, though I was told later that it hit the back of my head and I fell off my broom. Apparently, according to people who told me, Ian didn't believe that I'd been severely hurt, then apparently was guilty about the hit. Unfortunately, I was in a coma for several weeks, and was later told that I was lucky to survive the hit and fall. Ian yelled at me when I woke up, apparently because I was supposed to dodge the bludger or something. That part's still foggy, but at least I remember it.
Afterward, I realized that I was being an arse for a long time, and proceeded to straighten my life around. Mum and dad were happy about it, and I guess Ian was as well, since our relationship improved after that. I finally graduated Hogwarts, and went on to start my adult life.
When I went to the pros for Quidditch, I was pretty busy with training and practice, with of course games thrown in for good measure. My schedule was hectic, which is why it threw me for a loop when I discovered that the little bakery I visited to get an occasional had a girl that I fell in love with. We married, and had three children, Andonae', Xavier, and December.
I enjoy flying, sports, having a good time, friends, and family.
I despise arguing with my daughter, paperwork, people judging people, arrogance, and general killjoys.
I'm afraid of not being able to fly. Seriously, if I could choose between dementors and not flying, I'd choose dementors every time.
My strengths are Quidditch and Charms.
My flaws are potions and well, time management. I seriously hate being given deadlines because of it.

Oh yes, there's something else I need to tell you! Well, I'm not going to lie, I can change my appearance. I'm a metamorphmagus. It's interesting, since I can look like just about anyone if I tried.
My dream job is I'm not sure yet. I don't like the idea of quidditch, so I doubt that I will follow in my family's footsteps. Other than that, I shall have to wait and see.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm kinda aloof and a thinker. I tend to try and think things through before I do things, which puts me at odds at times with my more excitable sister, Andonae'. I also like to keep things in order, and dislike it when people mess it up. I guess that makes me an overly organized individual. I think that makes me prepared for when things go wrong. They always do, anyway.
My background story is well, I was born to Desmond and Myfina Goldwind. I am the middle child, and at times it definitely feels like it. I really tend to take after my uncle, Ian, though. He's the type of person I'd like to be with, and my middle name was taken from his first, so it makes sense. My relationships with my siblings is interesting. Andonae' is a squib, and she didn't exactly get along with me at first. I'd like to think she grew up a bit, even if she argues with our dad a lot. December is more like a breath of fresh air, though sometimes she can get on my nerves. Otherwise, I'd like to think we're a decent family. Not quite perfect, but I take what I can get at this point.
Well, my first year at Hogwarts was nothing special, to be honest. My father tried to smuggle a broom to me, and I handed it in to my uncle as soon as I could. My second year, well, that's where life got a bit interesting. I went to the Fall Festival with my father, since he thought it could be a good bit of family bonding. That fell through, however, and resulted in a massacre that night. Some crazy vampire attacked me, and broke my foot and leg. I spent several weeks recovering, and I'm still not sure I fully did. The horrors from that night still haunt me, and my father, he was supposed to protect me, right? He never did. Now I feel angry, angry at him, angry at everything, really. Nothing stopped this from occurring, and I was a casualty from the attack. I still don't feel safe, and it has made me more reckless since.
I enjoy quiet, chess, reading, order, and family.
I despise disorder and messiness, being around loud and obnoxious people, when my dad and sister argue, dirt, and tomato sauce.
I'm afraid of the unknown. It terrifies me to think there's something I can't understand, and it makes my hair stand on end just thinking about it.
My strengths are playing chess and writing.

I may seem strict and demanding but I'm really only looking to keep everybody safe. I can be stoic and almost heartless, but my heart isn't made of stone. I am an introvert, but I neither despise social gatherings, nor am I shy. I'm mostly calm and think things through before acting them out.
My background story is simple, really. I was born in a normal family, with loving parents and an older brother. My older brother and I never really got along, ever since I could talk and walk. Though I considered it to be normal, since siblings had their quarrels, right? But the thing was, Desmond and I were almost polar opposites. He was at times messy and loud, a total extrovert. I am mostly quiet and introverted, plus I describe myself as a neat freak.
It turned out that our differences came from the fact that we were born from different mothers. Our father had a nasty divorce with his first wife, Desmond's mother, and then married my mother after awhile. This revelation amplified out sibling rivalry, as I found Desmond more and more secluded from our family. He became problematic, which made my skin itch with the wish to punch him in the face. I held myself back though, since he was already accepted to Hogwarts, and would be leaving us shortly. As our relationship grew more and more hostile, I was finally accepted to Hogwarts on my 11th birthday. A part of me was happy, but another part of me dreaded going to the same school as Desmond's. Later, I found out that he had been sorted into Gryffindor, and, of course, I was sorted into Slytherin. Just like how the two houses never got along, Desmond and I didn't get along at all.
However, I made sure that I would never lose my composure in public. But I needed an outlet for the anger swelling up inside me. So I decided to join the Slytherin Quidditch team as a beater, the perfect way to indirectly beat up people. Of course, Desmond had to be on the Gryffindor team. A part of me was glad, since I could send a thousand and one bludgers his way. And I did, of course. We hurt each other in the most awful ways, but it was considered normal, since it was quidditch after all. That is, one day during my fourth year and Desmond's sixth year, I hit a bludger at him when he wasn't looking. Having played Quidditch all four years, it was fairly easy to hit a target. Where did I aim? The back of his head. I watched as Desmond tumbled off of his broom and onto the ground below. I didn't look at him again, since I was sure he was faking being hurt. But I was wrong. Hell, was I wrong. Desmond was hurt really badly, entering and staying in a coma for several weeks. During those days I agonized over the fact that for once, I realized how either one of us could be hurt this badly. I felt guilt for adding fuel to his sibling rivalry for so long, when it could've all been resolved through talking and acceptance. The hatred caused me to believe that Desmond was a liar, and I was ashamed of that.
Thankfully when Desmond awoke, he too realized that continuing this fight would only hurt us more. After that, our relationship steadily improved, though sometimes we still had our disagreements. A little more than a year later, he graduated from Hogwarts, and I became a fifth year.
During my seventh year, a chance encounter in the library occurred. Kind of. A young Zoe sat across from me to study for an upcoming test, and judging me to be older, requested for my help. I was reluctant, but because Zoe was a fellow Slytherin, I felt as though it was my duty to aid those younger. The subject of Herbology soon turned into another, entirely different topic, and thus the start of a relationship that ended in a marriage.
I enjoy the quiet, slow treks, flying through the sky, watching Quidditch matches, and being with my family.
I despise parties, disorderly conduct, arrogance, people who hurt others, and recklessness.
I'm afraid of losing the one I love.
My strength is keeping a promise and Quidditch, even if I don't look like it.

I may seem Kind of cheerful and talkative with a select few people. A bit of a Optimist. Very Observant and Open Minded. But I'm really kinda shy and introverted, I prefer to be alone with Tobi or focusing on my passions - photography and art. I see the world differently then most people, I noticethe details most miss, It really helps me make great art, no matter what form it comes in.
My background story is I was born to Ian and Zoe Goldwind, two rather different parents, not a bad thing, they are like opposites, I guess that's why they work. Anyway when I was born life was average - or as average as it could be in a magical family. I showed my first sign of magic at the age of 4 when my toy flew down from a shelf to me. Mum and Dad sure were happy about that - they were a bit worried cause my cousin, was 4 years older than me and had yet to show magical ability. Then when I was 6 Mum got pregnant again, it was around this time I went shopping with Dad in Diagon Alley and I saw a wizard taking pictures. I asked Dad what the man was doing and he told me and I said I wanted to try. So Dad bought me a camera from some shop - don't remember which. Anyway I started taking pictures of everything - the house, Mum, Dad, Dinner, and when time came - my new baby Sister. We found I had a real talent for photography so Mum found an old book in Florish and Blotts and it. Using the techniques I learned from the book I started taking pictures of scenery, family, everything. One day I got bored and tried to draw a copy of my one picture and I did pretty good, it got hung up in the kitchen. So then Dad bought me a book on drawing. Again I practiced and got pretty good. Then I turned 11 and I was able to catch a picture of the owl that delivered my Hogwarts Letter flying through the air! I was gonna go to Hogwarts, and I was bringing my camera and sketchpad with me, I can only just imagine the art I can create there. So after getting my Hogwarts letter Mum took me out to get my school things, and while we were in Olivanders a boy came in all by his lonesome. We found out he was an orphan who didnt even know when his birthday was, but then an owl flew in and dropped a Hogwarts letter right at his feet, so Mum offered to buy him his wand. So then the boy kinda followed us around asking questions and getting his school supplies alongside me. And then it came time to leave and then he found me on platform 9-3/4 and we talked all the way to Hogwarts. So then we met this girl named Annabeth and we all become friends. Second year Tobi stopped spending time with me and I heard a rumor that he was dating Luke. This made me upset and then Annabeth helped me realize that... well I liked Tobi. So I was pretty much ignoring Tobi cause well I thought he was with Luke. But Tobi got so frustrated with me not talking to him that he followed me to the Lake's shore one day and we got in an arguement and... I kissed him.. Then I started crying. But hey! I thought he was with Luke! Apparently not though. So then me and Tobi started dating. Anyway next summer was... dramatic to say the least. Tobi's birth mother searched for him, demanded to Miss. Fallrein to give up custody and to her, and when Miss. Fallrein refused, she upducted Tobi! He escaped through the Floo Network and came to our place. He stayed a few days while he calmed down, but well Aunt My and Andi found out about the me and Tobi. Things started to get better from there. Tobi and I went and got closer. Then Tobi's birthmom passed and left him everything! Including her French and English Estates and a title of nobility! Now I'm moving in with Tobi at his inherited estate. And we may have gotten engaged.
I enjoy drawing, sketching, taking pictures, potions, Charms, sweets, spending time with Tobi.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm a rather protective person, I don't often stand for when someone treats my friends or family wrong, In general i'm also one of the first people who'll offer a helping hand to anyone in need. I have a firm standing in my beliefs and am not that easy to sway (though it's easier for closer people). As a result though, I'm a bit argumentative as a result of My Protectiveness and firm standing. I also admittedly have been told that I do have a bit of a tendency to ignore other's opinions or beliefs if they go against my own. but despite that issue I do try and not hurts other's feelings to the best of my ability. I've also been told that I don't have much of an attention to detail just the big picture and how to acheive it but when I do pay attention I'm a bit of a nitpicker so can stay on one thing until it's perfect..
My background story isMy parents met during their time at hogwarts. I'm not entirely sure how long after they graduated before they were married but they did and Had my Older brother Bradley who's a ravenclaw, and me. We also live with My Uncle and Cousin, Our Aunt and two other cousins used to live with us as well but after andi died they moved to America leaving just uncle Desmond and Xavier. I miss them all, Andi, dee and I used to do alot together but now that they are gone, It was me and mum for the majority of the year. I've spent it with the neighboring kids but I'm not sure we were really too close. We weren't at all surprised when I got my letter to hogwarts so I can't wait to join my Dad and brother there even if it's only for one year with Bradly. I'm looking forward to the year and meeting other people, no matter which house I get put in.
