This is a backdated foal RP between Madison and Lyra Madison romped through a field of tall grass, chasing a couple butterflies as they flitted and darted here and there. She loved chasing butterflies but could never quite catch one. Her mother was nearby with her sisters. She hoped they would come play with her, because she hated playing alone.

 Lyra wobbled on unsteady legs towards the pale brown colored coat her sister spotted. Her brown coat was flecked with a myriad of colors. Sometimes Lyra envied Madison. She would never admit it out loud though. As she neared her sister she watched as Madison attempted catching the butterflies circling the area. She giggled softly before frolicking to her sister's side. "Maddy, you'll never catch a butterfly by chasing them."

Madison stopped and looked towards her sister. "But I really want to catch one," she pouted. She looked back at the butterflies fluttering over the flowers. "Tell me, how would you catch one?" she asked, smiling back at Lyra.

Lyra tottered over to one of the flowers and gently bit the blossom off before chewing on the plant thoughtfully. She was quiet as she contemplated her plan. Sweetness flooded her mouth and the filly gave an appreciative sigh before watching the butterflies fluttering around. "I know you want to catch one but I think the best idea on catching one is to merely sit and wait."
As if to demonstrate Lyra moved more into the flowers and sat down on her haunches and watched the butterflies circle around. She held real still and waited. "It takes patience sis."
Lyra blinked slowly and watched as a butterfly began its descent. Patience was key now.

Madison watched her sister quietly, taking mental notes of what she was doing. "Patience?" she whispered, not wanting to scare off the butterflies. "I'm not good with patience." She frowned and scooted close to Lyra, sitting down beside her, mimicking her movements. The pair of them looked kind of silly just sitting there in the flowers, but very cute at the same time.
A few butterflies were fluttering nearby, and Madison watched, holding her breath, as it got closer and closer to Lyra's nose.

Lyra heard Madison's movements and felt rather than saw her sister join her in the flowers. As Madison became silent and still Lyra turned her attention back to the insects that were coming closer and closer. One almost landed on her nose before her breath caused it to flutter away. She scrunched up her face before resuming a still position.
Her words came out as a whisper to Madison, "just don't make any sudden movements and they should come to you."

The butterfly flew so close to Lyra's nose, and then up and away again. It slowly drifted back down, and that's when Madison lost it. She squealed with anticipation and jumped at her sister, trying to catch the butterfly, but only managing to lose her balance and fall heavily onto Lyra, causing them both to crash to the ground. Madison couldn't help but giggle at their predicament. "Sorry Sissy. I lost my patience and my balance," she laughed, and couldn't stop giggling. She rolled on the ground with a giggle fit; such a happy little foal.
