For once, Shadowstep was caught by surprise as a plant seemingly sprang out of nowhere to attack him. He stumbled back and whirled around, only managing a weak strike before he could reorient himself. Gritting his teeth lightly, he drew out his dagger and called out the cat rabbit. The plant still had a bit of the upper hand as it struck at him once more. Shadowstep hissed under his breath, flanking the creature with his little furry companion to attack from both sides. It seemed to be relatively effective, though it wasn't quite enough to destroy the creature just yet. Shadowstep had stood defensively after his last strike and managed to completely avoid the creature's attack when it came after him. He came around and lashed out with his blade once before crouching back down low. He watched the flesh eating plant warily, keeping an eye on the way it moved, ready to make another counter attack at any moment. The plant made its move, trying to snap his head off. Shadowstep smacked the bud to the side then whirled around and stabbed right into the area between the bud and the stem. It proved to be rather effective, as the flesh eater was soon defeated. Shaking his head, he straightened up and sheathed his blade.
