Lisianthus (Lisian) couldn't imagine a better day to have their small celebration. The weather had caught them all by surprise at the start of the year. The temperature dropped so low and quick that they almost didn't have time to prepare for the freeze. It didn't last very long, but it was enough to have a few of them a bit stir crazy from being locked up in their tree.
It had been slowly warming up allowing them all to return to a normal state of living, but Lisian felt the need to celebrate such an amazing turn. They were all in awe of the wonders of the nature around them, and this display of power and change was certainly something worth celebrating. So after speaking to a few of the others it was decided to have a small gathering to raise everyone's spirits.
As he stepped out from the tree's shelter he instantly paused. The sunlight was filtering through the branches above him leaving little light marks on his dark skin. He let his eyes slide closed as he took in the warmth of the sun. This had to be the one feeling he missed the most during the winter months. He sighed deeply a small smile attempting to tug his lips upwards. If he could just stand like this all spring he'd be a happy Flutter. The sun on his skin, the light breeze tossing his long mane about his face, and the scent of new flowers wafting about him...
The large weaved basket grew heavy in his arms as the pull of responsibility tugged him out of his stupor. He glanced down at the basket of bulging, ripe fruit, feeling his stomach rumble lightly. He was thankful that he hadn't been alone in the idea of this party because he wasn't sure how he would have managed to feed a group on his own. Instead a few others had been kind enough to offer their help by bringing an assortment of food. He day dreamed about the types of food the others would be bringing as he walked towards some of the tables that had been specially carved and set up for this event. He left his thoughts full of food to focus on the craftsmanship of the tables, letting his hand run over the surface. He was pleased to see how involved everyone was getting, some were going well above what was expected.
He set the large basket off to the side and began to arrange the fruit on the table trying to make it look nice. He'd step back now and again to look over his work before fixing this or that. He then reached into the basket and pulled out a large bouquet of wild flowers. What celebration of renewed life would be complete without these flower? They were a sign to them all of the beauty of rebirth after all! The thought brought another small smile to his face as he added the flowers to the display. There, his part was done and ready for others to add to it.
He did take a moment to pop a piece of fruit into his mouth, shyly looking around to see if anyone had caught him.
Let me know if this color is too bright! I don't need to blind y'all XD

Lillian was trying to put a smile on her face. She really was! That cold snap...So many of her poor flowers didn't survive. If only she had a little more time she could have saved more. She just couldn't shake the blues it seemed.
Even if she was sad she wasn't about to say no to a party. Maybe this would help her, even just a little. Get back into her normal mood, make her want to be outside in her gardens once again. She had traveled around the area the day before, gathering as many fruits as she could. She had even gotten up early to press them all, mixing them together to make a fruit punch for the party. Carrying a large wooden bowl she headed out to the meeting area. Looked like only Lisian was there. This was his idea after. "Lisian!" She called out to him, trying to hurry over to the table without spilling any of the juice. "Oh I hope I made enough..."
Remaining inside for so long due to the cold had been especially hard on Delyth, the flutter that seemed more inclined to spend time alone in the nearby forest that with the others of her kind. Even confined, she had put forth little effort to improve her relationship with any of them. Doing so would have meant interacting, speaking with them. That was quite a frightening thought!
She didn't even know why, exactly, she had decided to come to the little party that was going on. Unlike the others, however, she was just watching for the moment. Hovering in the air, she wasn't bigger than a butterfly as she assessed the situation from out of the way.

Titus couldn't quite express how grateful he was for a break in the cold, any respite from the ache in his joints and the stinging on the tips of his ears was more than welcome. The fact that he had been invited to a party on top of it? Even he couldn't find anything to complain about here. Remarkably, the sunlight had managed to coax out a smile.
He hoped they would like the vegetable soup he'd made. It was still hot. And he was still a little sweaty from the fire. At least he hadn't singed his eyebrows this time. Hopefully they'd like it. If they didn't, well, it wouldn't be the first time he'd eaten a pot of soup on his own. He liked his soup anyway. It didn't particularly matter if no one else did.
"Um, hello!" he gave a slight wave with his free hand at the sight of two Pae in the designated meeting places. He recognized the male as the one who had invited him, he wasn't certain he had seen the female before, but that's what introductions were for. "Where should I put this?"
He nodded toward the lidded pot he was carrying. "I brought soup. Hope that's alright."
Come on, you can do it. It'll be fun. Her midnight hands gripped the bowl of her roasted nuts as she walked towards where the festivities were to take place. It was a celebration of...well...them. When she heard about it, she HAD to go. To not would be...would be...un-flutterish! Not to mention disappointing to their great queen.
But as she moved closer she quickly realized she was not the first to arrive. Flutters, some she had seen walking around the Tree, others unfamiliar. Only one whose name she knew was Lisianthus, the Flutter who put it all together.
A blush spread on her face when she caught sight of him. He was so handsome! She started to move towards where the food was being stored, glancing over the other pae. Another male was just joining like her...
He was pretty cute too. The thought made her blush harder, making her thankful that her dark skin covered it. Something inside her told her this was going to be a LONG party.

Despite the weather finally being warm, Paradise was not in the mood to celebrate. She had been ready to celebrate: to celebrate the arrival of the new seedlings and join the colony in raising them. It had been a while since they had seen new seeds, it had seemed like a miracle alone that they had made it through with how cold the temperatures had been for a while. Paradise had been so excited to have the opportunity to interact with little ones.
And now... now they were gone. Lost. She hoped that they were being raised well, but Paradise couldn't help but mourn the loss of the hope that the new seedlings would have brought. How would they even survive outside the tree? It was a frightening thought to think about, and one that left Paradise too sad to celebrate with her fellow flutters.
As she passed the gathering from the shelter of the tree, she couldn't help but peek over at them though. The sun rays looked so bright and warm, and everyone seemed to be having a good time, though the little celebration had only just began.
Quietly, the flutter wandered out to join them, finding a ray of sun to warm her skin and make her wings glitter in it the light. That much felt comforting to her.
OOC: I am tagging everyone so they read this: does everyone like post order? If so then when you post just tag the next person after you! If not... then I guess just post away and I hope people can keep up? XD
Lisian's ears perked up when he heard his name being called. He looked up to catch a brilliantly pink Flutter heading his way. He smiled warmly at her greeting, “Hello there, Lillian.” He peeked into the bowl she carrying nodding, “This is wonderful! Thank you so much for bringing it.” He reached out to take it from her to add it to the table. He moved it around for a moment before he felt he had found the perfect spot, “The coloration is beautiful, you must have found some beautifully ripe fruit for it.”
As he was turning back to the other Flutter, he plucked a few flower seeds from the table. He sorted through them to find the one that would best match her coloration once it was grown, “What a better way to celebrate spring than with a bit of planting, hmm?” he found the one he was looking for and held it out to her, “Hang on to this till everyone gets theirs.”
Once she had taken it from him, something caught his eye. He glanced over her shoulder and spotted what most would have assumed was a butterfly without really looking, but any Flutter knew. He lifted his hand in a slight wave to the small being, racking his brain trying to remember her name. He'd seen her around and would recognize the fiery red hair and bright skin anywhere, but hadn't had the pleasure of getting to know her. She kept to herself mostly so he was pretty excited to see here there, “I have a seed for you as well-”
He was cut off at the sight of Titus feeling an instant amount of relief. He got a nervous stomach around females and was glad he was able to join, “Great! We are getting a wonderful mix of food.” he motioned for the other Flutter to follow him to the table so they could get the pot set up in place and ready for serving. He lifted the lid to sneak a sniff, “Ahhh, this will be amazing. Thank you.” before leading the other male back to the females, “Titus, this is Lillian and-” he willed his brain to not let him down this time, “Delyth was it? I have seen you around though I myself have never received the pleasure of formally introducing myself.”
Once introductions were made he went back to the seeds resting in the palm of his hand. He pushed them around till he found the ones he was looking for, “Titus, for you, and one for you, Delyth. We will have a chance to plant these in a bit, but hold on to them for now would you?”
As soon as he handed the seeds to the two of them, another Flutter appeared on the seen, “Ahh, Shaylee, you made it.” he stepped away from the group to offer her help with her dish. “Roasted nuts? Great choice!” he said as he gently took it from her to set it up on the table. Once it was in its appropriate spot he turned back to the dark skinned, vibrant haired female a seed in hand, “And this one is for you!” He placed it into her hand and led her to the group, “Do you all know, Shaylee?” He offered an introduction though he knew a few new each other, though it may not be well. He really hoped at least some did so some conversation would come of it. He knew he always felt really awkward with gatherings where he was typically expected to talk to people, that's why he hoped he had planned enough things to keep them occupied.
A glint of light blinded him for a moment and he blinked rapidly towards the source. He noticed the colorful Paradise enjoying the sun's warmth like he had moments before, her wings catching the light now and again. He excused himself from the group, making his way over to her. He had her seed resting in his palm as he stood before her, “Hello, Paradise.” He spoke softly as to not alarm her, lifting his hand up to offer her the seed. Did he catch a twinge of sadness hanging onto her? He would know why, it all hung on to them though a lot tried to not show it.
He nodded towards the gathering, “We will be planting these in a bit. Till then, would you like to join us?” he motioned her ahead of him, always the gentleman, before looking around at the group of Flutters. They really made a great visual statement, each with its own unique and brilliant coloration. They were as brilliant as nature itself, a fact that could give someone a big head if they weren't careful about it. Once he had gathered them all together he waited a moment before there was a pause in conversation before speaking, “I appreciate you all making it! Feel free to try some of the amazing food, thanks to all those who brought it, and soon we will have some little celebratory events going on. Again, hold on to those seeds of yours.” he smiled and nodded to let them know he was done and they could continue with their conversations.

Lillian nodded to Lisian and took a seat as he took the bowl from her, smiling to him as he gifted her a seed. "So much life to come from such a little seed." She held it close to herself for a moment before looking to see more had arrived. Lisian said this male was Titus? "It's nice to be introduced to you finally Titus." Really, why hadn't they done this sooner? They all lived together after all.
A second female joined them, once again Lillian caught her name from Lisian's speaking. She seemed to be acting shyly? She was looking at the two male flutters, that's for sure. Not that it was too surprising to Lillian. They were all adults, it was spring, there were urges now. The boys were lucky that way. They could pick any girl they wanted to, but who was anyone kidding? Their Queen was the most beautiful on in all of Forn Sheedhiel. All the boys sought for the Queen and all the girls sought for the boys. It was a cruel circle.
She let out a soft sigh as she pushed it from her mind. "So how do you all fair?" She spoke to everyone who gathered. They might as well start some small talk.
Oh no! She'd be noticed! Blushing brightly, she looked to either side before backing off slowly, her hands reaching to passively old onto each other behind her back. Glancing away, she bit back the urge to just fly away and back into the tree before looking back to him, just for a moment. Her eyes then remained downcast as she softly returned. "H... Hello... Lisian..." That was all she added to the conversation, though the only reason she could remember his name was that she had just heard it said.
But... there were so many flutters out in one place! And so many boys! Oh, she just couldn't handle all of it.

Titus felt a bit of relief when Lisian didn't seem revolted at the smell of his soup. Heh, he actually seemed to enjoy it. That or he was a good liar. Either way, he felt a bit pleased with himself. Being handed a seed caught him off guard, but he found a smile trying to crack his face. There really was no more appropriate way to celebrate the end of winter than with the creation of life. Well, plant life. For those who weren't exactly... involved... enough with others to create Pae life.
"Thank you, Lisian."
He closed his fingers around the seed, definitely needed to keep it safe until the time came for planting.
Titus glanced around a bit before spotting the Flutter who had just landed. Bright as she was, he was surprised that he didn't notice her before. He gave her a brief wave before resuming the study of his hooves.
[OOC: feel free to approach him, he needs some prodding]
Eep! He noticed her! And he remembered her name! She blushed even harder as he took the nuts from her. "Thanks Lisianthus. I wasn't sure what to bring." Shay smiled gratefully as she took the seed before being led to the group. He was too kind to her, introducing her specially. The pink haired female gave a shy little wave. "Hello." The blonde haired, pink flutter was talking now. Lillian, if she recalled Lisian correctly. "Very well now that the warmth is returning. I almost wish it was like this all year long...but plants need to rest too."
She glanced over at the male called 'Titus' the other attractive male at the festivities. Cute how he was shy, like herself. But there was something...manly about a flutter who took charge. Like Lisian who came up with the idea to even have a party. Unfortunately, there was only two males there and four females including herself and excluding their gorgeous queen.
She winced slightly at the thought. No chance for a shy, awkward flutter like herself. Especially since she hated competition almost as much as she hated the other colony.

Irish Night Fox
Paradise's eyes widened, looking alarmed when the host approached her (despite his attempts not to do so) while she was soaking up the warmth. "Oh, hello Lisian." Her voice was barely a squeak as she spoke to him, but it was audible enough. Paradise's quiet demeanor and jumpiness was less over the embarassment of talking to one of the colonies few males and more something that was usual for her, even when she wasn't upset about the missing seeds.
As she took the seed from the other male she felt like she could cry. This wasn't the right kind of seed. It was probably going to be a lovely flower, but it wasn't going to be a flutter. Instead of crying, Paradise released a heavy sigh of a breath that she had been holding for too long as she clutched the flower seed close to her heart. Following Lisian's gesture, Paradise dropped her head in gratitude, letting her blue waves hide her face. She then proceeded to do an awkward side shuffle over towards the rest of the group, staying in the sun rays at all times.
Lisian looked at the small group and mentally chuckled to himself. They were all shy in their own way, making this a rather difficult gathering to be a part of. No wonder some of them hardly knew one another. They worked side by side, but never really took a moment to get to know one another. He could name each of them and perhaps something about them, but he couldn't say he knew them personally. He would like to label them as his friends, but didn't know if he knew them well enough for that to be an accurate term. It made him feel guilty that he hadn't tried harder. You could be near someone for a lifetime and never really get to know them if you don't make an effort. He had certainly spoken to most, but he hadn't ever deepened the conversation. There had always been something to do or a task to take care of. How selfish of him.
Some were attempting conversation though most were standing around awkwardly. He wasn't sure if they were just waiting for someone to talk to them or really just didn't have anything to talk about. He sighed quietly wondering if this had been such a good idea at this point. He knew it was important for all of them to gather, that's what built community, but a lot were still recovering from the frost- and loss of a few of the tree's seeds.
He smiled at Lillian and her attempts at small talk. He was thankful that someone opened up and it seemed to be well received when Shaylee replied. His head bobbed in agreement with what the dark skinned Flutter had to say. After what they had been through he was sure the warmth felt better than ever- at least to him. He wished he could thank the two for breaking up the silence but decided not to go the awkward route and replied instead, “I'm with Shaylee. I don't know if it's the same for everyone, but that frost did a number on me.” He looked around at each once to gauge their reactions, “We have had a lot of loss coming into this spring, but I think we have a great opportunity here too.” He furrowed his eye brows as he racked his brain for a way to explain himself, “See, we're still alive, which means we still have an opportunity to turn things around. I guess this was the main reason this party was put together. We gotta remember the loss, but look forward.”
As he was talking he watched the last, brightly colored Flutter join them. He chuckled slightly at the way she kept to the sunlight, completely understanding it. He had missed it as well. Once she had joined the group he held up his own seed for them to meet with their seeds in a sort of toast, “To the future of of our tree and the health of our Queen.” he gave them all an excited, boyish grin. They had to lift their own spirits, no one could do it for them, so what better way was there then sharing the hurt and finding a way to keep their minds on the positive?

Lillian smiled to Lisian's words. "You should have a drink in hand before you toast our fair queen." She giggled slightly before frowning at the others. Not many of them seemed to be talking. Well that wasn't good. Only Shaylee had responded to her.
"As you said Shaylee, I am doing better with the return of the warmth...My garden on the other hand." She let out a sigh. "It's going to take a long time to repair the damage. Many of my plants just did not survive that cold snap." The female looked to the ground, morning her falling plants for a moment then looked back to Shaylee. "Decorating the tree with my flowers is going to be a few months behind now." She looked around to the others. There must be something she could do to get them to talk. "Well I spoke a bit about my hobbies, what is everyone else? What do you do around the tree?" She was truely curious about who she shared the tree with after all.
Holding onto the seed that she had been handed, Delyth couldn't help but feel a bit out of place. Unlike the others, she didn't particularly keep a garden of any sorts, choosing to frequent the forest instead. Among the trees, she felt more at home; the branches were her source of comfort, the small animals her friends. What as she going to do with a seed?
Shifting somewhat uncomfortably, she glanced around to see if anyone else was going to speak. It seemed like they wanted her to say something, but what to say? "Um..." She moved around the (relative to her current size) large seed in her palms, holding it up as if trying to hide behind it. "I'm Delyth... I... Well... I live here...?" That was obvious. "I don't garden... Or farm..." She peeked up a bit, seeing if anyone was paying her any attention anyways. "But... I like trees...?"
