BrotherOfWar was on his way to the rather curious location depicted on the in game map as the Guild Hall when the rustling of the bushes somewhere to his left heralded the appearance of a small eating plant. He gave the little creature a look over then snorted in annoyance. Great. Just great. First a couple of snakes and now this. Did his avatar make him look like a walking fruit tart to them or what?
He supposed that he could find some solace in the fact that this ought to be a quick one given how weak this creature was compared to the snakes though it still was better to err on the side of caution just to be on the safe side. Without even bothering to pull his blade out of its scabbard, he ran up to the plant and used it to slap it upside its head as it tried to snap and take a chunk out of him.

Out of the corner of her eye she had noticed another snake. A smirk went onto her face and she went flying, leaping into an attack and striking it. It wasn't a good blow and she flipped around, landing and rolling. She grumbled to herself and moved back, and then she caught sight of someone else. She noticed the blow and nodded to him as a sign of approval, moving over to him and staring back at the snake.
Words weren't needed and she smiled at him, giving him a look to say "shall we continue"? He looked to be enjoying himself, why not enjoy it together and not let words ruin it?OOC MY CARDS: gaia_crown [ n0msn0ms STATS ]HP: 29 BOSS HP REMAINING: 18 ATTACK: 3 ATTACK TARGET: Boss DEFENSE SELF: 0 DEFENSE TARGET: 0 HEALS SELF: 0 HEALS TARGET: 0 LUCK MULTIPLIER: 1 on none

Pulling back to put some distance between himself and the plant, he noticed the presence of the other Red Gryphon who had decided that she wanted in on the fight. r3dkill. Interesting name. Even more interesting was the fact that she too seemed to share his disinterest in making petty conversations as was evident by the look that she tossed his way.
He responded in kind with a wry smile and a slight nod to indicate his agreement with her wordless proposal, unsheathing his blade now as he charged forth to hack away at the plant.

An amused smile crossed her face at the reaction from other and she watched him attack. Inside she could feel the flame of competition rising up. In a dash she was off, jumping up at the creature and striking it with a clean blow, landing near the other and smirking to him. Actions always spoke better than words ever could, and she was liking where the actions were taking them.
Finding a good fighting partner was hard in these times. With a tilt of her head she continued to gazeOOC MY CARDS: gaia_crown [ r3dkills STATS ]HP: 25 BOSS HP REMAINING: 10 ATTACK: 4 ATTACK TARGET: Boss DEFENSE SELF: 0 DEFENSE TARGET: 0 HEALS SELF: 0 HEALS TARGET: 0 LUCK MULTIPLIER: 1 on none

He always loved a good fight and his eyes seemed to dance with a rather loosely hidden amusement when he saw what the other Gryphon was capable of. Ah... if this was going to turn into a competition between them to see who took this creature down first, certainly it would be fair if he took the initiative to even the odds some. Without a word, he sent her a heal to help keep her strength up then dashed off to take out the plant's roots this time round.

She took the heal and gave a nod back to the other with a smirk. Moving quickly she raked against the plant with her weapon and twisted around with an unsatisfied look on her face. Clearly it wasn't enough and she was frowning. What a time to skip out on the attack power and prowess she was known for. Standing up straight she finally managed to find her voice.
"Your turn." She said in a low, amused voice as she nodded back to him with the same smirk. She wanted to see what else he could do as she was curious. A glint in her eyes continued to eye him and she twisted her body to full attention, looking to the plant and back. "If you can..." r3d continued with a challenging gaze, grunting once as she stared back to the poor, dying beast.OOC MY CARDS: gaia_crown [ n0mn0ms STATS ]HP: 26 BOSS HP REMAINING: 3 ATTACK: 3 ATTACK TARGET: Boss DEFENSE SELF: 0 DEFENSE TARGET: 0 HEALS SELF: 6 HEALS TARGET: 0 LUCK MULTIPLIER: 2 on roll2

"Of course." His conversations usually comprised of just a few words yet at the same time conveyed exactly what he needed to get across which wasn't dissimilar from how he usually was like in the real world. Looking from her to the already dying plant, he smirked. This was too easy.
He rolled his shoulders and took a deep breath before dashing forth to put the plant out of its misery, jumping recklessly onto it and then plunging his blade in rapid succession into it until it eventually keeled over. He got up when it was eventually over, his gaze turned back to her as he tilted his head to the side, that same amused look back on his face once more. "You fight well."

As he put the poor beast to rest she couldn't help but continue her smirk, lifting an eyebrow at the message that popped out of nowhere and she blinked. The controls in the world were confusing enough as it was and she had to remember entirely what to do in such a situation, but she nodded to him. There was a vibe between them as could be seen with both of their skill with a weapon and mannerisms in the heat of battle.
I am Iyari of War. I take it from the name you've given yourself you too are of War? >
She wondered if she should be bothering to use the message system when she could see what was right in front her, an eyebrow lifted and she looked over him. Somehow he seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't place it. Before it all happened she had known so many but lately had been reclusive due to some sort of self-induced hibernation. She absolutely hated that about herself and shook her head to fight the thought of it.
"It doesn't surprise me." She said with the same cocky grin, she had seen the technique before. "It means there's more of us here then?" She shook her head, wondering what she should do about it all. At least there was someone she knew there now. Grabbing onto her loot she held onto it tightly, looking back again with an expectant expression.

He smiled wide when she returned his message to confirm that his earlier suspicion was true, returning his blade to its sheath prior to collecting his reward for vanquishing the plant creature. "Indeed. I see little need to hide who I really am in this fictitious world that we're currently in."
On hindsight, he supposed that he ought to have recognised her as a fellow clansman of War based on the similarity of their mannerisms alone. But it probably didn't matter so long as they got round to it eventually before they went their separate ways. It wasn't as if the plant creature would wait on their turn back then after all. "Name's Yves. I have to admit that I'm not sure on that but it is good to see that I'm not alone in this my fellow sister."

"Yves." The name danced in her head. Since there were so few of them left she should have probably known his name. It was a soft echo from prior to that time though, of what she couldn't place but it was a feeling of complacency that she'd found another one of them there. "I suppose not." She commented, though admittedly hadn't bothered to share her name with anyone.
There was a cringe at the word "sister" but it wasn't visible save for a twinge of an eye. She really had begun to hate that word, but a smirk crossed her face anyways. "I take it you've taken down many of these creatures?" She looked to the dead plant. "They remind me of the training dummies, though admittedly they pack a bit more of a punch." It was odd, having a conversation finally, but it wasn't unwelcome at least.
She was rather enjoying the company.

He saw her reaction to the word "sister" as soon as he had uttered it and made a mental note to be mindful of that whenever he was in her presence. Probably a bad memory but it wasn't his place to probe so he left it at that. Every surviving member of the Lost Clans, himself included, had lost something and had their own emotional baggage to bear after all. "This is the second one so far. There were a couple of snakes prior but it could be due to the place I was traversing back then."
He offered a small smile at the mention of the training dummies that they used to work with as part of their combat training. "I suppose you have a point there since these don't move around as much compared to the snakes." Though their home was no more after what became of the Four Islands, he supposed that he could draw some solace from conversations like this when they could reminisce of the past and what they used to have.

"The snakes are an interesting bunch." She said with a small smirk. How long had it been since she had a normal conversation with someone else from War? She shook her head and smirked to him. "Did you take down any of the large ones?" It was an oddness that she could relate to at least. Yet they hadn't run into each other just yet and that was strange in itself.
"If we get out of this hellhole I think we should put our skill to a real test against each other, wouldn't you agree?" That same sneer came across her face and she crossed her arms, challenging him with her expression. Of course he would, it was how War bonded after all. "I mean, if you want." She goaded.

"Indeed. They move fast but prove to be an interesting challenge." He quipped though he began to look a little puzzled at her next question. "Large ones?" Was she referring to large snakes or large creatures? He almost laughed out loud at her proposal for a sparring session the next time they ran into each other as War Horsemen back at the Lost Clans encampment on the edge of Halloween Town.
"Of course. Don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're a mare."
Could he really turn her down after she had goaded him like that? Of course not. It was the way they were brought up as warriors of the War Clan after all. To be defeated in battle was no loss of honour. To decline a challenge however would be. Both to him as well as her. "So where are you off to next then Iyari?"

There was another satisfied hum from her as the one green eye that was unshielded glanced over to him. "Mhm. Like the spiders from home." She smiled. They used to ride them when they could catch them as small children, certainly Yves must have done something similar. Most her age had been competitive with it and tried to get the largest ones they could to see who could stay on longest. Nostalgia crept into her mind and she had to shake it away with another smirk on her face.
"We'll see if you can tame a mare then, hm?" She said in a chiding tone thought she was pleased. It had been so long...
Iyari blinked and gave a sideways glance across the area and pursed her lips, thinking. "I don't know." She finally said, her eye lazily rolling back over to regard him. "There's so many strange things here, beasts to kill... sweets to avoid and a lot of people like us." She shook her head. "As much as it pains me it might do best to not have a plan in this regard. I suppose I'll wander around to see what else I can and fight anything that gets in my way."
"Why, what do you plan?" She smirked to him again. "And don't worry, we'll have our fight... maybe once we get out of here."
