It was his first time in the tavern. The whole place was sort of... Weird. Well that wasn't too shocking, now was it? The whole world was weird and everything about it smacked of lunacy. Talking agent trees, a Cheshire cat who spat riddles at you, and fighting broken.jpg dodos were like the poster children of 'crazy'.
At least the smoke didn't smell like smoke in the tavern and the quiet rumble of distant conversations was almost soothing if not therapeutic.
Relaxing at a table, he pulled out the AI interface and tapped message
< TO FROST PAW; TEDDOMINATION ; SWEETM00N, ANCIENTPAGES: Phew hey guys. I'm at the tavern. If you wander around and sort of think TAVERN it appears. I know. It's weird. Don't ask. So uhm, if you want to chill out and talk a little bit I'll be here? Hope to see you. >
Was that weird? That was weird wasn't it? Boi was just not GOOD with friendships. Nervously he sat back in his chair and waited to see who showed up.

Maybe she could - if not forget - then try and pretend that what had happened before had just been some sort of odd dream. Heart pounding a little nervously, she made her way over, waving a hand in the air. "Hii~!!" He had not meant to do that, he had not meant to do that- BoiisonFIYAH would rather suddenly see the Cheshire appear before him looking a bit perplexed, his little handheld still in hand.
He had rather obviously been checking his messages, and somehow ended up there. "...great." It wasn't directed at anyone in particular as the bored pair of blue eyes swung over toward the other fellow. "Welp, so that gets you in... how do you get out?" He didn't really stop to think how rude that would likely come off as, but... well he did want to know.
Though, in truth the tavern wasn't so bad after a look around. Fairly homey. At least the chairs looked comfortable enough, so with that in mind he flopped down into one, tilting his head to one side a bit. "So... a question." Because he hadn't been rude enough already, it was time to be blunt. "Are you actual people, or just npc's like the tree?"
And he wasn't asking the tree. Just no. Though, he did at least wave a hand at the hi offered by sweetm00n. Perhaps she could help with the question too. "You're not just part of some dream right?" His ears twitched upon getting the PM. AncientPages wasn't too sure how to feel about it. This was all quite.. sudden. Everything was. He was feeling a bit overwhelmed. But perhaps making relations with these strangers would be beneficial in the long run. Besides, when was the last time he got to socialize with others outside his family? Well... he supposed it'd be polite to comply. And so he did as instructed, surprised to find the tavern as had been explained. Interesting!
Turning up in the area, bright, eerie eyes peered about at those who had once been in his party, giving a light smile to them all, but uncomfortably rubbing at his oversized rodent ears, while his cobra tail seemed to writhe and curl about behind him to imitate his obvious discomfort. This body still didn't feel too right, with him. It would certainly require some adjusting, but at least it wasn't too off the mark. His tail was still in tact, which he gave a little pet to, in which the cobra closed its eyes contently and nuzzled into his palm. Ah, but back to his comrades!

sweetm00n gave the cheshire a rather insulted look. "You think we're npcs?? We're players - same as you!" Sitting down a little primly, she glanced at the other new arrival and his oddly formal greeting. Oh, she was in a team of social butterflies. Brushing one of her massive braids back, she looked around and leaned in. "Speaking of npcs, have you seen any of the glitches going around? This place is like - still in beta. It's soo broken!" Talking about what she had seen like this made it easier, as though it hadn't terrified twelve kinds of s**t out of her. As though she still didn't feel nervous coming back to the tavern. Distracted with wondering if this really WAS a dream, Boi let the conversation float around him listlessly until he looked up and saw AncientPages walk in. Smiling, he waved at the other guy, "Hey, good to see you again."
Glitches, huh? Thinking about it, Boi slowly shook his head, "I haven't seen any. How about you guys? Seen any weird glitches? I mean, everything here is weird. It's kind of hard to believe it could get weirder."

He offered a small wave as another of their group of sorts showed up. Alright, maybe it wasn't so bad having them around. But they didn't mean they were close. Actually, it was beginning to make him think he was going to run into someone he actually knew at this rate.
"Well, I wanted to clarify." He stated, tilting his head a bit at sweetm00n. "You don't behave like the NPC's. But if this is a dream, then... why do I keep seeing people I'm sure I don't know?" It was rather confusing, but perhaps what was worse was her next statement.
"Glitches? It's a strange place, but I've seen nothing of that sort." Everything was normal enough... well as far as talking trees went. "Aside from our slightly... odd dodo of a bird. "A dream? This isn't a dream, it's a game." She nodded at that, and then breezily glossed over what she was doing playing one, and why it felt so real, and all the other questions that wobbled around behind the cloud of odd sleep-induced acceptance. Sweetm00n was not a lucid dreamer. She shook her head and spread her hands dramatically. "I bet some are game breaking. I've already seen two. They like - totally ruin the immersion." That was putting it lightly. "Yeah, I'm... Pretty sure this isn't a dream." While he said that, BoiisonFIYAH didn't sound too convinced. Brow furrowed, he stared at the table intently as if by sheer force of concentration he could splinter it apart.
When sweetm00n talked about game breaking, his thought processed also broke, "Well, what exactly happened? Did someone like, fly off in the air or something?" That happened sometimes in games, right?

Sweetmoon gave as loud a laugh as she could without it being weird. "Fly into the air? How about the entire game freezing and then the walls and floors glitching away to nothingness? As soon as you see all the npcs stop moving - that's when you know one is coming." She tapped her finger to the side of her nose. "Everything goes quiet as well. Just - all freezes up for a moment. It's pretty spooky!" Again, understatement of the year. Boi froze, but not the way that Moon had explained. Forcing himself to relax, he gave a stiffled laugh, "Man that'd be creepy... But that's it right? I mean it could be worse, right?"
Though the thought of the whole game just falling away was... Nerve wracking, "but the walls and floors... going away would be... scary."
Suddenly his PDA pinged. Picking it up, there was a notice from ALICE AI that a new quest had opened. Surprised, he tapped it once to dismiss the message.
"Maybe we should all go do it and then come back here?"

Frostpaw had merely been listening to them and musing over the statements to himself before nodding slowly. "Well..." He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to really argue it further. "It's just that the last thing I remember before ending up here was knowing I was asleep..." But they were likely right, how could he be in a game in his sleep?
Then again...
As the mention of a new patch was brought up he tilted his head a bit. "Maybe they also fixed those bugs then?" He didn't fancy being stuck in place, or somehow ending up with things trying to claw out from the walls as those vanished. He was quite alright to stay in the working part of the world thank you.
"I am curious... I guess I'll go look and see?" With that he got up, toying with his small pocket device a bit before vanishing. Apparently... he had figured out how to get back out of the tavern. But to where no one knew!

Watching Boiison check his pocket card, she drew out her own as well. "um...sure! Hopefully they have - I'll see you guys later then!" To be honest, she was glad to get out of the tavern. Standing up from the table, she gave them all a smile before heading out.
