She had somehow crossed paths with a giant snake, and was ready pass by it should it not be unfriendly.
It was unfortunately, unfriendly.

The ghoul winced as the snake sank its fangs into her side, quickly pulling the blade of the polearm back to stab it at the serpent. A quick series of swipes of the polearm were came down on the snake, which managed to get it to release her from its bite. On the other hand, FrozenFlower's march hare companion and hopped onto the snake's head and thumped loudly, rattling it a bit. The danger was far from over... FrozenFlower didn't have time to regain her position after that series of strikes, leaving her open to the serpent's attack. The snake hissed threateningly and took a swipe of its tail, smacking the ghoul on her side.
<Ouf!> she gasped, her breath being knocked out of her.
Fortunately there was little the snake was able to do about her companion, who gave her enough time to prepare and land the next blow.

The ghoul took a breath and readied herself, charging at the snake with her hare companion by her side. Two blows of the polearm were landed on the serpent, but she could not parry off its strike in time, taking another swipe of its tail to her back.

The last blow left the ghoul very dizzy and only capable of a feeble strike at the snake. The serpent hissed lazily and head butted her back, toppling her over onto the ground.

Both she and the serpent were nearing complete exhaustion, but she was still conscious enough to see the next attack through.
The snake came charging towards her, jaws opened and fangs bared, but the ghoul found it in her to find the strength to deal a final thrust of the polearm into the snake's mouth. The march hare simply thumped at the snake's tail, causing it to jolt.
And then it was still. FrozenFlower desummoned her weapon and collapse onto ground, heaving a sigh of relief.

Having caught her breath and wrapped up her wounds, the ghoul was about to be off on her away again when a certain little critter gambolled along towards her - another enemy?
... It didn't bite or hit her, but simply nuzzled against her side.
The march hare didn't look too pleased.
