Szar v Alexander





Judge Opinion: This had the beginning dregs of a good fight, but like any cup of tea, you have to let it steep. There were too few posts here, and that sorely disappointed me, especially with the time extension.

Szar: Great writing ability as usual, which is something I love when reading a tournament battle. His posts made me believe. However, the mentions that his sword could cut through anything, his shield would stop anything... While I read it personally as the Paladin believing in himself so resolutely, as a judge, I don't like reading this sort of thing.

Tyson: I, personally, didn't like the approach here. This is a contest of champions, not a contest to win your daughter back, nor a contest where you implore your opponent to walk away.
The posts were solid, but I feel like they were held back. I know you can write better than this, man, and I was expecting more of a straight battle than trickery from this character.

The winner is Szar.

Ertai v Stefania





Judge Opinion:

Ertai: This is great writing, as usual, so it's not much of a compliment anymore. Ertai skillfully handled the match, and maintained the pace throughout the entire bout. Domination is his forte, no?

Stefania: I felt this show was weak, but well written. You stayed very true to character, and showed the type of determination that brings out the best in your opponent. Sadly, that opponent was Ertai, who turned a lot of things against you. You did well, and I applaud you.

Jay v Justice





Judge Opinion:

All I can say is, wow, this is the best fight here; it not only finished, but it was emotionally pressing and very powerfully written by both players. The fight was ultimately decided by Justice technically "winning" the fight, and showing his mercy. Those are aspects I think of when I imagine a champion, and he displayed those. Great job, both of you.

Umbra v. Darius





Judge Opinion: Well, this fight went to crap, in my opinion. You both could have done a lot better. Nevertheless. It was technically sound, but lacking in depth and general verbosity.

You both went the route of "I'm better than thou" and that drug away from the fact this was a contest of people who were born, and will continue to be, champions.

Heita v. Pope





Judge Opinion: Reading through initially, the first thing to strike me was the slow down half way through. Heita replied with a single sentence, when he could have capitalized. Or at least gone deeper, or prepared, something. Pope didn't help much, but charged. I didn't like that much; this is a tournament, and you're here to prove you're the better competitor. It brought down the scores * for both of you, but didn't zero them out because the fight was, ultimately, very fun to read

*Heita, as I've seen, isn't the type of guy to lag back in a fight, so it brought his true to character score and the entertainment value score down.
Pope, while in the same space, at least took the opportunity to prepare.

This was a good fight, but I've gotta say, Heita ultimately slipped up right then. He dominated for the most part, in the pace of the fight, but like I mentioned, Pope prepared in that momentary break, and so much and so forth, this fight was a close one.

Hank v. Lucas





Judge Opinion: I honestly wish this fight had gone on longer. Jilly, you wrote well, but you had the bad luck of a no show, and couldn't show off your skills. Adding insult to injury, you got stuck with Hael as an opponent. Good job from the both of you!

Eric v. Tres





Judge Opinion: All I can say, this was well written, but nevertheless a giant s**t storm, until the end. You brought it back, but this fight brought me down into a dark, dark hole reading it again. Eric wins, but only slightly.
