Sometimes, when you wander too much around the corners of the map, you will find hidden things. They don't have to be great hidden things, but they clearly are meant to be hidden and not found because they are in the corners of the map, and it clearly is just as offending to them as it is to you to be found in such a way.
In this particular case, the tree standing at the corner of the map meaning to be hidden is sporting a door. A pretty large door, and it feels like something hefty might be inside the door but it is locked. No pushing, kicking, biting, attacking, singing, or cajoling seems to move the door.
"Ah," says a suddenly smiling set of teeth from above a crook of the Door Tree, "it seems you require a special password. You know, like open sesame, but more secret. It wouldn't be a hidden tree if it were not secret."
Before you can ask any more questions, the set of teeth disappear. The teeth, not the tree, trees can't disappear silly!

Now that he was finally out of that confounding area of the woods, Shadowstep found him somewhere... else. There was a peculiar tree with a door nested in its trunk. When he approached, he heard a voice from above. Another of the chesire cats had appeared to inform him that he needed a password.
Crossing his arms, he stared at the door.
"Two of hearts..." he mumbled idly while examining it.

Looking up at the smiling set of teeth as they hazed away, Golden's eyebrow cocked up, wondering what creature had such delightful chompers. Holding her whip close, she looked around the tree a little further, trying to unlock what it meant.
"Passwords are usually meant to be hidden aren't they?" She murmured out loud, before deciding to check out the above ground roots, wondering if there was anything hidden on/around them. "May as well get to the root of the problem, mm?

Having left the cat he wandered to *GASP* find more trees.
Though this tree was better. It at least had a door even if the door wouldn't open after a good hard kick. "Well ********."
Shaking his head he almost jumped when the tree spoke before sighing. Great More talking trees. "Password?"
"Like ... 'Im sorry your entry is invalid because you did not include a number, capital letter, and symbol' password or uh 'I have the jack of clubs' sort?"

He left the lake, and found his way back to the woods, some corner of the 'game map' that seemed to exist… a huge dark tree that, on its own might not have been so strange, but there was a door there. A door… and teeth.
He wanted to ask them questions when it spoke, but he couldn't…they were already gone after their enigmatic statements about passwords. How did one figure out a password with no hints?
"Curious." He declared, and reached up to touch as best he could the crook where the teeth had been. Even if it meant a scramble or an attempted climb. He missed his wings terribly.

Gravity felt a stirring feeling as he approached the tree, his brows knit as he watched a small gathering form around it. A tree shrouded in secrets and mystery with a secret door containing a secret something. If he was going to get to the bottom of this world's mysteries and figure out what the deal with the fragments was, he needed past this door.
The white rabbit stomped over to the door, knocking on it loudly. "OPEN UP, BUTTERCUP! LEMME IN!" His patience was... dwindling.

Millie ended up near a tree. It looked like every other tree but there were many other payers very interested in it. She walked over just in time to catch the tree talking about a password.
The tree is hidden? So maybe it's not the tree at all. If they really were at the corner of the map, Millie tried investigating where the borders of the map really were.

bigbadwolf always followed his heart. It was surely that courageous and valiant way of thinking that led him to the dark crooked tree and definitely not the fact that he was lost, so incredibly lost. So lost in fact, that all the other trees had started to blend together and the one with a door had stood out like a sore thumb, or rather, in his opinion, a sight for sore eyes and he ambled over to it, pushing his way amongst the others.
The floating teeth, in particular, made him narrow his eyes. "Cat," he growled, assuming it was like the other, fond of riddles and incredibly annoying.
Unfortunately it was also right and no matter how hard he pressed his claws against the door, it wouldn't budge. Perhaps, bigbadwolf thought, it needed a different manner of persuasion. He couldn't think of any particular password but he did, in fact, and quite proudly, speak the language of love. Of hearts. Trailing his finger coyly against a notch in the door's wood, he cooed at it,
"Hey, how you doin'?"

This endless forest needed to end. He did love his trees, but not these kinds: not kinds that wept and snarled and and chattered too much. By the time he reached this particular tree, killsteal was in a somewhat foul mood.
"Does the answer have to do with cards?" the gryphon growled, situated next to Golden with a scowl. "Better yet, maybe sacrificing two unfortunate souls would appease it . . ."

sweetm00n had left the guild hall in a blind panic. She had no idea /how/ she had ended up here. But there was a small crowd, and that was all she needed to reassure herself. "A special password? Umm~please?" Not really expecting a response, she went up and knocked politely on the door. Let's see if manners will get you anywhere. Of course, she waited for the other player to ... finish his attempt to seduce it first.

Epithet stood before the tree, apparently many others have too. He didn't recall how he got here, he had ran away from the guild recruitment hall and here he was. He had guessed he had followed the voices and that had led him here. The other characters were all over this tree with a door in it and he was fascinated himself. He attempted to open it to no avail.
He pondered for a moment, Circling to the back of the tree and itching to climb up it.

Allan? stood there looking dumbly at this giant tree.
It was a tree with two hearts on it, head tilting a little sideways, eyebrows cocked as he tried to figure everything out. It was really just a tree over all, isn't it? Frowning a little, he decided to get away from the weirdos on the side talking about sacrificing things (please not me,) and decided to check out what was behind the tree.
Drawn by the small crowd of people that had gathered around the tree, the girl stepped forward to examine the large, sealed door with a curious stare. Looked like the mystery here was figuring out how to get the thing to open. Considering a number of attempts had been made, she wasn't entirely sure where to start, but it looked like people were throwing out some good guesses--
--...Except that guy.
Stepping up behind bigbadwolf, Nightbloom lift a hand to her mouth and delicately coughed into it. "I, ah. I don't think being intimate with the tree will make the door open up for you." At least, she'd eat her scarf of that actually worked.

ENTERING: THE HIDDEN DOOR ►
Ch33p hadn’t been to perturbed by a smiling set of teeth appearing out of nowhere. Everything here seemed able to talk, so it only made sense that it they should have mouths. She pulled her lips between her teeth and tried to think; nobody had told her any secret passwords but nobody said she couldn’t guess. What kind of password might they have set?
Inspired by one of the other players asking if the password had anything to do with cards, she thought about all of the cards and suits and numbers she had seen since waking up here and was struck with an idea.
“Go fish!” The little dormouse said enthusiastically, jumping back and swinging her arms in an ‘open sesame’ gesture.
