She was looking at him like she expected something and for the the life of him Taith wasn't quite sure who she was. The mare seemed familiar though he could not recall exactly from where, only that it was a long, long time ago. He cocked his head to the side and fluffed his wings as he looked her up and down again. It was obvious enough that she expected some sort of acknowledgement now.
It started with an A....Astoria....Alizabeth.... "Amaranth?" His tone was a bit questioning, hopefully she would overlook it if he was right.

"You..." the fluttered mare whispered, needing the moment to regain her composure. It had been so long since she'd seen him. Honestly, she never expected to see him again. What was he doing here anyways? The last time she'd seen him it was back in her homeland. A lifetime ago. And of all things, he acted like he couldn't remember her name?!?! Her wings folded back as she replied, coldly, "You are not wrong. It has been some time, Taith. Why are you here?"mistalina13 ((Yay - I finally found time to reply!))

"I travel a lot. Surely I mentioned this?" Or at least his intention to do so, depending on exactly how long ago it was. If he had not then it had been a slip of his memory thanks to distraction. Looking at her though he could certainly see why he might have been distracted at the time. She was then, and still is, quite the beauty now.
It was a relief that he had gotten her name right. He would have felt like a fool if he had not. "It is a surprise to see you." Whether that was good or bad remained to be seen.

"Likewise," she replied crisply. Her mind was still whirling, wondering all the possibilities, and she still couldn't understand...How did he come to be here? Now? Was this world not big enough that they could walk their own paths without intersection? Of course she'd known he traveled. That's how he came to her home to begin with. But there he had stayed, at least he had stayed long enough for everything that had happened. And she knew he had left, that's where all of this started, didn't it?
"Do you travel this area often?" she asked quietly despite the whirling voices in her mind.

Her tone was difficult to read. Had his presence really startled her that much? "A good one, I hope."
"It varies. I go where the wind takes me." Being at the mercy of the wind and the weather was alright most of the time, until it rained too many days in a row and left him with damp feathers. "This season I've been here a few times but never for very long." He fluffed his wings and resettled them afterward so that they rested against his back.Angelique DelaMort I apologize for my tardiness in replying.

She let his remark pass without statement. I suppose that much we have in common, she thought to herself. A love of traveling. I did always want to see the world, regardless.
"The lands are peaceful," she replied quietly. "Turbulent weather is rare here. Storms even more so, this area seems to embody tranquility." At least most of the time, she added to herself. Her own inner turmoil not withstanding, she had found this place to be a haven. Her tail flicked, a subtle sign of her restlessness.
mistalina13 It's ok - I was really late for this one!

No reply wasn't the most favorable response but it was far from the worst either so Taith would take what he could get for now.
"Yes, it certainly seems that way." It was a pleasant place, which was why he did not mind coming here when he had the occasion to do so. "Shall we walk and talk?" She was restless, it was easy to read that much. As far as the cause he didn't read too deeply into that.
