Tallulah was lazing on the warm, sandy beach of Eowyn, his eyes closed, put to sleep by the soothing sounds of the ocean that was within a few feet of him. It was a nice day and there was a nice breeze coming in off the sea, causing him to purr in delight. He was enjoying the sea, the fishing, and the weather just as he had been for a while now. He knew that he should be getting back to Eyphah and his clan, he should also be visiting with his mother's clan more, should be hunting for more dragon orbs. There was a lot that he should be doing at the moment but for the time being he was rather happy right where he was, snoozing away on the beach.
Easing over onto his side, stretching out all over, tail thumping against the sand. He would probably continue to have slept on for a while if a wave hadn't came in out of the water and over him, causing him to jolt upright. The shocked Merkora looked from side to side, eyes a bit wide, "Eh? Eh?" It took the sleepy Merkora a moment to figure out what was going on before it clicked. Oh right, sleeping on the beach he thought to himself as he pushed up right, shaking free of water and sand, before he gave a great yawn, "Not very nice." He muttered at the water, before he sat down on the beach.
Bah, such a nice nap ruined and such a good dream! He'd been dreaming of himself as a Merkorian, two legs, handsome, and powerful! A shame to wake up to not having that power at the moment but at least he'd had a nice, dreamy preview of such a future. He just had to reach it was all. There was still so much to do to get to that point but still, it was a nice dream, huh? He gave another yawn before he shook his head, "Mmm... so much to do." He wanted to catch up with Eyphah, to be as strong as his teacher, but he knew he was still a few steps behind him yet.

Kioda's wings carried her over the hot sands. She would much rather fly over the burning tiny rocks than walk over them. Her feet always sank and she found she dehydrated quicker walking than flying. Her stomach rumbled irritatingly much to her chagrin. Food was already scarce on the inhospitable place. Sniffing the air Kioda slowed her flight slowly descending towards the ground. There was the smell of fresh blood on the air.
Licking her lips Kioda sniffed again and again in order to find the source of the smell. Her mind realign with hunger forcing more protests from her belly. Scratching at the sand Kioda hissed, a bloody patch surfaced. Digging some more Kioda uncovered nothing but broken bones. Rumbling Kioda's eyes searched the sand before taking to the air. There would be no hunting in this area for a while. The smell of blood would deture any prey from coming near the area in fear of ending up to the same fate.
Fish.
That was probably the only possibility at this point. Not something she really liked to munch on. The slimy things hardly filled her belly and where already a slippery pain to catch. Licking her lips Kioda lowered her head that was probably the only solution unless she wanted to return to that windy place again. No she had been there too soon. She didn't want anyone uncovering her hidden treasure of orbs. Even if they were scattered over the entire world she didn't want any of her hiding places uncovered.
Nearing the waters edge Kioda's eyes narrowed on a strange blob on the shore. Angling down towards the sand Kioda approached with caution. It looked like a Khehora, but it lacked wings. Shared her size but seemed to be more water based. Smirking to herself Kioda pulled up silently beside the stranger before planting her rump into the sand. "Hello."

Hearing someone approaching him Tallulah turned his head in her direction, cocking his head to the side in a curious manner, before he gave a bit of a smile, "Hello there, come to enjoy the beach as well?" There was so much about it that one could enjoy after all. The sights, the sounds, as well as the delicious feast that could be obtained from it so long as one was able to scrape together the energy to do so. He was feeling so lazy at the moment but he knew full well that he couldn't just sleep here all day even if the sand was nice and warm!
He wondered if that was why this one had come to join him? Or maybe she was just bored and wanted someone to chat with? Tallulah knew how that went, wandering around for too long alone could be quite the weight upon a Khehora, at least in his opinion. There were some more suited to solitary life but he was not one of them.
Pushing to his feet the Merkora stretched out all over, giving a little groan as he did so, before shaking off from head to toe as though trying to shake off the lingering sleepiness that was clinging to him. Once his mind was a little clearer he turned back to the one that had decided to sit with him and he said, "My name is Tallulah, would you be so kind as to grant me your name?" Now that he was a little more with it he felt he should probably be a bit more polite to his fellow Khehora even if they were of vastly different family lines. He knew from past experience that it was best to make friends with those around you, it could very well help you out in the end.

Kioda rumbled as Tallulah acknowledged her approach. So he wasn't a defensive kind, this would work quiet well. She liked the ones that here easy to get along with. Not like that boastful Sam who had made it to the final evolution before her. Just wait, she will be there swiftly and then she will have the ability to challenge him all over again.
"Actually I've come to enjoy the water. And the creatures that swim in it." Her stomach rumbled again much to Kioda's annoyance. Traitorous body, she hadn't even said much and already it was saying more than she had. She watched the one beside her for a moment, waiting patiently before he seemed willing to communicate with her in a more even state. Smiling at him Kioda nodded grateful to be given a name.
Looking towards the water Kioda wanted to reply that her name was hungry, starving maybe. But one might consider her rude. Instead she flexed her wings. "I'm Kioda, Ysali bred. I hail from Serenia. It's a pleasure to meet you. What brings you to Eowyn? Or is it just to get some sun rays?"

Tallulah gave a little grin, tail swishing, before he said, "Oh, I understand that. There is much about the ocean to enjoy, especially when it comes to the delicious food that we can get from it." He agreed, then gave a soft chuckle when he heard her stomach rumbling. She seemed as though she was quite hungry, huh? Perhaps he should see about fishing for her he thought to himself, giving a little tail wag. He didn't mind getting some food for her if she required some help, unless of course she was one who was good at fishing already? He didn't want to insult her so best that he asked about it, huh?
"Kioda? It is nice to meet you, Kioda." He said, giving her a smile before he looked over the ocean once more, "Hm? Oh! Why I'm here. I spend a lot of time here with a friend of mine and his clan here in Eowyn. It's a lot different from where I come from but I like it here." This was one of his favorite places other then home after all and he didn't mind spending some more here.
Giving a glance across the ocean he said, "I was actually on my way back to the ocean for a while, to swim some, fish some, and visit with my mother and clan. It was a long walk from where Eyphah and his clan live." He explained before he gave a little laugh, "I sometimes envy your clans and their wings, those would make travel in this area a whole lot easier." How he wished he had wings... though that would make swimming a whole lot more difficult, wouldn't it? He couldn't have it both ways though, huh? Best that he try to be happy with what he had though, he was rather proud of his clan after all.
