After racing through the streets, the duo managed to get to the station with time to spare. After showing both tickets, Double Trouble entered inside the wagon that will soon take them to the Neighagra Falls. Following her were Night Hawk, who agreed to accompany her, and two flying glass beakers, both of which glowed in unison with her blue horn. "Right on time" she sighed in relief and walked through the corridor of the narrow wagon. The place was well-lit and tidy, with only three other passengers on board, a married couple of pegasi and what it seemed like a business pony, judging by his fedora and his Cutie Mark, which was a a pen and a graph with an upward arrow.





Double trouble picked the seat right next to the middle window of the wagon and sat there, still catching her breath from running all the way there. "Good thing those tickets were refundable", she thought as she used her magic to remove her cape and cravat, gently putting them down, along the two beakers, on the empty seat next to her. A breeze of fresh air flowed through the already-opened window. She closed her eyes and took another deep breath, a few seconds of silence before finally speaking, "Now, Hawk... first of all, I just want to thank you for joining me in this... task.", she said while looking at his red eyes, "second... I've... been wanting to ask you a few things... if that's okay with you, of course", Double exclaimed while looking away and letting out a nervous giggle, "but I think you have some questions for me, too. After all... I didn't even tell you what we're going to do... I'm sorry for that", ashamed, she looked down while dropping her ears for a few seconds before regaining her composure and focusing her eyes back on his. "Maybe you should go first, c'mon, sit down", she gestured her head toward the empty seat in front of her."

"All aboard!", could be heard from outside. "Oh!" her ears sharpened as she remembered something. "By the way, Hawk...", the train engine roared as it began its accelerating march, the metallic vehicle starting moving towards its destination, "I DID mention we're going to get there by nighttime, did I?" she asked with a silly and awkward grin.

She tilted her head, confused. "Your first time on a what? A train?", she asked while taking a quick a look around. "You never took one before? Well, you know what they say... always a first time for everything", she let out a small laugh, which came to a sudden stop the moment she noticed the frightened look on Hawk's face.



"Uhhh... are you okay, Hawk? You know, they say it is more likely to suffer an accident back there on Manehattan than on a running train. This ride's final destination is Vanhoover, but we'll get off when this stops in the closest station to the Neighagra Falls".



"You want me to ask first? Okay", she looked at the wagon's ceiling for a few seconds, thinking about what she was going to ask. Looking back a Hawk, she said "Back in the park... when you helped me get up after I bumped into you... I felt something weird she you helped me get up, is your magic... normal magic? Also, you said you come from the Garden of Shadows... do you... really come from there?"

"Ohhhhh...", that's the only response Double Trouble could think of. Hawk's responses sounded honest... but who was she to judge if they were or not? She was only an astrologer and a scholar, after all, not a liar detector. She had the urge to reply "that's because it kinda is" to the nocturnal's comment about the Garden of Shadows being a fairytale, but she decided to stay silent and avoid annoying him any further.

Noticing the drowsiness of his voice, Double thought it might be better to save the talking for another time and let him have some sleep. "We still got like, umhhh...five hours until we reach there, why don't you take a small rest?". Her horn glowed and a book, "The Natal Chart Interpretation Manual", slid from under the yellow and blue cape lying on the seat next to her, it then levitated to the height of Double's chest.

Her eyes kept going right and left like a pendulum as she read the book. She was so focused she didn't notice Night Hawk's awakening. However, her concentration shattered to pieces the moment the same voice from the park a few hours ago echoed inside her head again.



"He isn't reliable".

"Uh?", Double quickly looked at the empty ceiling of the wagon. After a few seconds she focused her eyes at the black unicorn, who was busy munching a piece of food. "Well... although he said some strange things back there, he looks like a good person, I don't see why-", her thought was interrupted the moment she identified what Hawk was eating... it was a fish... dried fish, to be more exact. "Ugh...", the bluish fur on her shocked face blending with a pale green. She used her magic to raise the opened book right in front of her face, hiding it from his companion, "W-where did that fish come from?!". Even so, manners were a priority, "E-enjoy your meal" , she said in a low and struggled tone.

The ambient was gloom enough already... but it was about to reach new levels as soon as she returned her head to the wagon. Expecting her was Night Hawk talking about his past out of nowhere. It came like an unexpected and crude brick to her head. It was a really uncomfortable moment, she was only an astrologer, not a psychiatrist, that is to say, she didn't have a lot of experience when it came to dealing with these types of situations. She looked at him in astonishment as she heard the black unicorn's story. "Umhhh... that's.... that's bad", she awkwardly exclaimed, unable to find the right words. She couldn't relate to any of his misfortunes... well, except maybe for one. After noticing the nocturnal was struggling to hold back his tears, the blue unicorn slid her hoof under her cape resting on the seat next to her, after a few seconds of searching, she got off her seat and stretched her hoof to offer Night Hawk a tissue, his face still having the faint traces of a tear down his right cheek, "Umhhh.. here, why don't you clean your face?".

"Oh... okay", she lowered her ears and slowly sat down on her seat again after Night Hawk rejected her tissue. Double Trouble thought it may be better to just stay silent and ask no more question about the matter, even if she felt a bit curious about the nocturnal's past. They still had forty minutes until they reached their destination. She found it weird and cute to name one's pet the same as its owner. Just as she was about to make a comment about it to lighten up the mood, she felt a tickling in her snout. "Ahhh... ahhh ACHOOOO!!". Her horn glowed and she involuntarily casted a teleportation spell, blinking out of existence for half a second before reappearing again on her seat like nothing had happened. The astrologer closed her eyes and shook her head for a few seconds before opening them again. Without saying a word, she used her magic to levitate the book she was reading earlier, which had been lying on the ground, and continued her reading.

The silence in the wagon was interrupted with a loud voice "Next stop, Neighara Falls! Next stop, Neighara Falls! Please, show your tickets before descending! Thank you!". Double Trouble closed her book and slided it under her cape, it sure was convenient that a lot of stuff could fit under it. The train slowly reduced its velocity until it came to a full stop. The blue unicorn slowly got off her seat, used her magic to put on her cape and adjust her cravat."This is where we get off. Come with me" she said to Night Hawk as she began walking toward the exit of the train.

The unicorns walked away from the station, which was just a small and modest wooden construction. It was dark, the only sources of light were a few post-lamps around the station and the moon, shining in the clear night sky. Outside, it was possible to see dozens of pines and trees, and, on the distance, the top of the waterfall in all its glory. Although they were far away from the waterfalls, the sound of clashing water could be heard clearly. Double Trouble glanced at a relaxed Night Hawk before setting her eyes back at the bed of green and brown in front of them. "Now, you either forgot to ask... or just didn't care, but allow me to explain what we're going to do here. First of all, see that bright, red star in the sky?" she said as pointed at it with her right hoof, "That's Eltanin, the brightest star of the Dragon Constellation... Draco, shining upon us! Now... you might be wondering, why is this relevant? Well..."

Once again, she adjusted her cravat and began her walk among the endless trees."Tell me, Night Hawk, how capable are you when it comes to dealing with beasts? Have you ever encountered a Cosmic creature before? An Ursa Major? Or perhaps an Ursa Minor? Mhh?"

Without ceasing her march toward the base of the waterfall, Double Trouble raised her brows for a second, "'Freaky dreams they got'? Dream realms? What are you? Some kind of Dream Traveler?", she asked, without keeping the eyes out of the road ahead of them.

After Night Hawk assumed they were going to need something from an Ursa Major, the astrologer closed her eyes and let out a small sigh, "Nopony in their sane mind would get close to an Ursa Major without at least a small army. Calm down, we won't see any of those here."

She noticed the nocturnal put his hood back on. She gave back a serious-incredulous look after receiving Night Hawk's question about his appearance. "Yes, you look creppy in the dark. I suppose they can't be blamed..." she said in response to his comment about ponies seaming away in fear. She continued, "... and yes, it is mainly those bright red eyes of yours, the ravaged cloak and the black fur don't help, either. Is everypony from this... Garden of Shadows just like you?"

Ahead of them was a stream, Double Trouble began jumping from rock to rock to get to the other side. While she jumped, she continued her explanation, "There is something here... in the Neighagra Falls that can only be obtained during this time of the year. I could've come here alone... but after reading the stars in the sky, I was told that coming to this place on my own would end in failure. I was also told that I would find help in Manehattan. Remember when you told me that The Void chooses a destiny for everyone? Just like you believe in The Void, I believe in the stars. After being ridiculed in many taverns, I finally ran into you. That's why I was so certain you were going to agree to come with me back then". She reached the other side just as she finished her speech and looked back at Hawk, waiting for him to cross the stream.
