Lemonade took a deep breath and sighed, it had been a week since she had found out she was pregnant and, once again, she didn't know how to tell Darmani, how could she? This should be easy by now but still she was scared that one day (and it was stupid to think this) he will turn around and reject the pregnancy and whilst she knew that he would never do that it was getting to the stage that should they really keep having children? She loved them, the more the better in her opinion but still she didn't want her mate to feel like that maybe enough was enough so rejecting the pregnancy was easier then accepting more kids into the family. Lemonade paced and as she paced the drawing room she wondered how to tell him "Darmani, I have something to tell you..." no, that won't work, she said that out loud but hearing it she thought against it so she carried on trying to figure out how to exactly tell him.

Lemonade stopped and turned her head toward the door "oh...er..hi...um...you heard that? Of course you did, this is why one doesn't say her thoughts out loud" she said as she turned fully around "I think I am just going to come out and say it, this should be easy by now but I guess, I openly admit, I am scared that one day you will reject us as you may think you are too old when I give you the news which, I guess also, you might have a small idea what this is by now" she said as she took a deep breath and sat down an waited till he was in the room and looked at him ."You are going to be a father again" she said directly, it was the only way and just closed her eyes and looked down at the ground "went to a specialist in the Magical Realm the other day and got a double check up by Doctor Sohma and he said it was true, I am pregnant, the specialist in the Magical Realm believes there to be 3 but then she can be just as wrong as she is right which is why when others go to her they just go to make sure they are pregnant and not for her betting odds" she said as she looked back up at him, now that that was out of the way it was just to tell the children they will be older siblings.

"I didn't mean leave exactly just...reject, you can still reject but still hang around" she said as she snuggled up close against him "just with both of us getting one, we have had what? 8 kids already, I admit I felt a little scared you may not like the idea of having more children, I mean, we are not exactly spring chickens anymore which is why I was worried that you wouldn't accept them, to old, too much work etc, I know we have help but still..." she said as she reached up and kissed his cheek. "I love our life to...well, minus the fact that, ya know, my family sucks" she said with a sigh "not ours, mine, my father and sisters etc, I just wish these children would be being brought up in a loving family, I mean, they are but their grandparents are questionable, at least their grandfather is...well, ex grandfather, but still, you know what I mean..." she said as she looked up at him "and you DO have a sword maker!" She said as she looked at him.

"Not that shes actually taken much of a fancy to following in your footsteps" she said as she as she thought of Blue "you know, you suck at teaching" she said playfully "though, to be fair, Blue HAS made one weapon, a dagger, her very first and last one and something she isn't proud of" she said as she moved away from him and walked over to a stack of books, taking a key out from between the pages of one of them she unlocked the desk and opened it and took the dagger out and took it over to him. "This, my darling, is a secret she swore me never to tell you, I know I promised no more secrets but in this case I had to, she was so sad when she came to me with it, she was just a yearling, she had listened to your teachings and thought she would make this herself, prove to you that she had what it took to be a swordsmith like you and this is what she came up with after spending hours in the workshop one day when you were not around, wasting so much metal, pouring everything you taught her into it and what she had read in books and this was the outcome."

Lemonade unsheathed the dagger and handed it to him, the hilt wasn't level, the blade wasn't hammered, the blade wasn't sharp at all, the handle looked like it needed to be moulded more, it was real amateur work but it was their daughters "she made many attempts and all pale in comparison to this but is what made her shy away from following in your footsteps, she just couldn't do it, no matter how many tries she did she just couldn't get the hang of it and so the day she brought that to me all she was worried about was upsetting you. She didn't want to carry on, she didn't want to follow in your footsteps, she just wanted to stop even trying because this was apparently 'proof' that she didn't have a place in the world of weapon making and the real reason she told you that she didn't want lessons anymore, she didn't want to disgrace the weaponsmith name and, more importantly, she didn't want to disgrace and disappoint you and that is why she said she wanted to study alone, you taught her the basics and now she wanted to venture into this alone but in reality she didn't want to upset her father" Lemonade said as she looked over the dagger, it was an actual good attempt considering but yes, it was poor but then she was a beginner "I did try to console her, tried to tell her you wouldn't be and that all she needed was practice but you know how stubborn she can be, she just wouldn't accept it, so I just sat with her that day while she tried to eat through any and all strawberry flavoured or part strawberry flavoured ice cream I had in the freezer to just try and get her out of the upset mood she had gotten herself into."

Lemonade sighed "sweetheart, Blue is our DAUGHTER and what daughter goes running to her father with problems about her father? Girls confide in their mothers about most things, if it was you as a single father that would be different to an extent but I am here, she was scared and upset, she isn't going to go running to her father just to complain to him that she sucked at what he loved and doesn't want to do it anymore? It would be scary for her, upsetting for you, you FINALLY thought you had a weaponsmith and she doesn't want to do it. Sweetheart, look at it from her point of view, she was a yearling, probably even forgot about this by the time she reached adulthood, it isn't anything about you being a horrible father is it about them not wanting to upset you, it may be wrong to keep this from you but Blue was just trying to save you from being upset, she loves you, that is why she couldn't tell you this, how can you tell your father you don't want to do what he loves? It is not easy on a yearling to tell her parent, she just didn't want to disappoint you.

I swear my darling, this is not a reflection on you being a bad father is is just a scared little girl who wanted nothing but to bring happiness to her fathers life, how could she do that when she ended up upsetting him? There is no easy way for her to break your heart and so she saved the trouble of doing that, Cad was different, he doesn't have the ability at all, he sucks, seriously, I love that kid with all my heart but he just sucks at weapon making and should never be allowed into your workshop again but Blue..." Lemonade trailed off "wait here" she said as she walked out of the room and over to the kitchen where Blue was making something to eat. "Blue, can you come with me please?"

"Sure mom, what's wrong?" She asked as she grabbed the tub of ice cream she was about to spoon into a bowl and just took it and the spoon with her.

"You need to talk to your father" she said as she carried on out of the kitchen, Blue trailing behind, spoon in the ice cream container and it in her mouth as they both walked to the library, entering it soon after "stay, talk, I am going to go grab some ice cream myself" she said as she turned and let her daughter enter the library before closing the door behind her and walked off.

Blue walked over to where he father was, set the ice cream down and took a mouthful, savoured the taste before asking what was wrong, eyes falling on the sad excuse for a dagger and realized what that something was "oh..." she said as she looked up at him "daddy I..." everything she felt, everything she had forced herself to get over, the horrible memories of the day she made that and the 500 others that she totally failed at making, everything was all coming back to her and her tears brimmed with tears. "I wanted to tell you, I swear I did I just...I just couldn't find the words to say it, I didn't want to upset you, I know how much you wanted a weaponsmith in the family, someone to take after you once you retire, someone who will be proud to follow in your footsteps I am sorry I just can't be that child" she said as tears started to silently fall down her cheeks but she kept looking at him.

"I love you so much, I know how much this meant to you, how could I break your heart and tell you I didn't want to do it? Mom said you would understand but I couldn't bring myself to tell you, I know it was wrong to lie to you and I am terribly sorry about that but I thought a small white lie would be better then seeing the hurt and disappointment on your face and yes, I now know it was wrong but by the time I became an adult I had already forgotten about it. I didn't need to tell you anymore and so I left you believing I had evolved into a proud weaponsmith like my father because I knew you believing that would be a lot kinder to you then knowing your daughter broke your heart" she said as she laid down, looked to the ground and hugged her ice cream, head resting on the container.

"I'm sorry, daddy, I couldn't come to you, I couldn't tell you, I couldn't do what I knew was right but how could I look you in the eye knowing that I had disappointed you? I would hate myself for it and this is why I never came to you, it just wasn't worth hating myself or, more importantly, upsetting you, the one thing I have never wanted to do and I never wanted to take the joy of actually having a child following in your footsteps away from you" she said with a sigh as she dried away a couple of tears which didn't help at all as more fell.

Blue took a deep breath and let it out, hugging her father back she let him dry her eyes "thank you for understanding and I promise, I will come to you in future...as long as it isn't anything female, I think mom can still help me with that" she said as she kissed his cheek "I just wanted you to be proud of me, thats all" she said as she nuzzled him "and I guess if you and mom have any more kids you may get your wish, who knows, might even be a son" she said as she took a spoonful of the double choc strawberry ice cream she had brought in with her. "That is, if you two ever have kids again, but then you have eight already, do you really want more living in this place? I mean, it is rather cramped as it is" she said, knowing they had that other floor that had a few rooms up there that still needed to be full but that gargoyle, Arch? She didn't think he being up there was going to make their future siblings, if they have any, not afraid of him, he was rather scary....not that she didn't like him, she did, but the little ones? Not exactly someone you want to tell your kids you are leaving them with, Arch was as friendly as a kitten just...his face wasn't exactly screaming 'I won't eat your children, promise!'

Blue giggled "yes, well, some things are better left unsaid to you" she grinned "and you are!?" She asked excitedly, she would squee if it wasn't beneath her before realizing something... "space" she said as she sighed "you will want some of us to move out won't you? Though we have a few rooms free on the third floor you would rather the second floor to be used then the third, easier that way, I guess some of us are going to have to leave home, probably bout time we did anyway" she said as she nuzzled him. "That is fine though, I don't mind, I have a place in mind anyway, there is a beautiful old estate in Harmonia that I have had my eye set on for a while, I have been helping a woman named Carmen in Harmonia and she has given me a dish washers job, she would rather the dishes be done by hand then magic, the pay isn't great but I have been working there now for several years, I have had pay rises and bonuses but still, it isn't that great a job but it is work, thats all that matters and I nearly have enough for the deposit another week or two and that house will be mine unless I somehow talk the real estate agent to give me a couple of weeks grace which I may be able to do, he does seem nice enough.

But anyway, I will be gone in two weeks, I would of told you and mom sooner but I just wanted to secure the house first and because it IS so old and so gloomy with a bit of work needing to be done on it no one, thankfully, is wanting it so the deposit is cheaper anyway but still, I just need somewhere to stay till I can hand over the money for the place so can I just plot kicking the others out with you?" She asked, smiling at her father "it will be fun for both of us!" She said, knowing that this was mean but hey, she has to be cruel to her siblings some time, usually it was one of them picking on her, she gets to have the fun now.

"Though, if need be, they COULD come stay with me unless they don't want to, the place has many rooms, it was once used by Morgana, it is alright, everything black magic and harmful has been removed and is now just sitting there, the agent doesn't know what to do with it besides sell it and the Elders left it up to them but we all know what her taste was like, gothic, dark, gloom, ancient and preferably Victorian and that is what this place is, it has secret passage ways and rooms and original fixtures etc but it is a beautiful old place and so there will be enough space for those who wish to stay just till they found their own place." Blue said, wanting to be kind to her siblings but also, in a small way, she was only offering them refuge because she didn't want to part from them, she might find this place a tad cramped but she was home, with her siblings, as annoying as they were she loved them so no, unless they wanted to, she didn't wish to say goodbye to them yet.

"Well the offer will be there in case you and mom wish for some of us to move out, at least they will have somewhere" she said as she bowed her head, blushing a little and smiled "you know I will always be your little girl" she said as she wrapped her 'arms' around her father and hugged him, kissing his cheek "no matter what happens I will never not be your little girl" she said as she nuzzled him "you and mom raised me well and gave me everything I could have ever needed, thank you."

"Oh great, does that mean I can have the last 500 for the down payment?" She joked as she nuzzled her father "kidding! And yes, I do, this place is too much of a nightmare, I love it here, I love living with my brothers and sisters but sometimes a girl just needs to be by herself and given how massive this estate is that I am wanting to buy I can be down one end of the house whilst they can all scream down the other and I won't hear them so it will do us all well" she said, about to say something else when her mother walked in.

"Speak for yourself, she doesn't make me proud at all" she said as her daughter stood there in silence, staring at her, shock on her face as her mother walked over and nuzzled her "she makes me very proud and the only one of our kids that seem to be actually WANTING to make it on their own" she said as she kissed her daughters cheek.

"Wait, you knew!?" Blue asked, nuzzling her mother back.

"Sweetheart, I own a shop in Solstice and go back and forth between Harmonia and Solstice because of the other shop that is being built and when you hear rumours of someone wanting to buy the old estate that Raven's mother used to own I got curious about who would want to buy it when they were going to knock it down because no one wanted to touch it so yes, I had to look to see who was buying it, who was crazy enough to touch something of Morgana's and I see that it was our own daughter. Needless to say I was shocked, wondering what on earth you were thinking etc but then this could be a beautiful estate if in the right hooves and given Raven obviously can't have it or isn't allowed to have it then I think you could make it into something that people won't be afraid to go near and will turn it into a beautiful place" she said as she let her daughter go.

"That is what I am hoping" Blue said as she looked at her parents and let go of her father "I have work in ten minutes, I best be going" she said as she smiled at her parents before walking to the door "and thank you two again for everything" she said as she stopped as Lemonade called out to her.

"Darling, quit the job" she said as she looked to her mate "we will give you the last five hundred gold that you need."

"You heard that?"

"Darling, I didn't need to" Lemonade said as she walked over and sat next to her mate "I have been talking to the real estate agent who said that they will give you one more week to make the money before they make plans to knock it down so yes, your father and I will give you the money, think of it as our house warming gift to you."

Blue ran back and hugged her parents "thank you both SO much!" She said as she kissed them both "you don't know how much this means to me!"

"I think I do" Lemonade said in a strangled voice.

"Oopps sorry!" Blue said as she let go and looked at her parents "but are you sure you can afford it? What with the other shop being built and all."

"Don't worry about it, our finances can afford a little taken out of them and it is for a good cause, your father and I are happy to do it" she said as she looked to her mate "that is, if you don't mind" She asked, knowing that he sorta couldn't say no now anyway but still, in fairness, she did knew he had a say in their financial affairs but in this case she was pretty sure they were on the same page, they would be pleased to help out their daughter, it was just a once off and she would have a mortgage she would have to pay but the least she had to worry about right now the better, the house came first, once she had that secured then she could worry about the other stuff.

"Daddy, are you sure? I don't mind if it is a no till you and mom can sort it out or if you can't then no biggie, I can find a way to come up with the last but I don't want you and mom to argue about this when I have left I just want to make sure you both are on the same page thats all" she said, wanting harmony kept between her parents and money was one thing that was a good topic to argue about in the Magical Realm, something that they didn't have to worry about here but they both, technically, were part of that Realm so she just wanted to make sure everything was fine.
