Noemi was feeling a bit better now that she got her bearings on the Island. It was a easy routine to get into. Work a bit, avoid all hunters...practicing her mist skills...
Yes she could do this.
As she walked the corriodor though, she started to notice a thin long trail of brightly colored candies on the ground....And her stranger danger senses were tingling...
But she had to go this way so...
Eventually she would make her way (not touching any of the M&m's), because it was the only way to go, to the source of such a cruel and unforgiving act. The stranger luring people to him...she would just need to get by him and be free...She slowly plastered herself against the wall and started to slide around him...not sure what he was doing on the floor there.

Jeremy wasn't sure what he was doing anymore.
He had a bag of M&Ms, and at one point thought 'Hey, M&M traps!'...but as he started laying out a trail of the delicious chocolates, his mind wandered and, somehow, he'd forgotten just why he had wanted to try the trap in the first place. It seemed like a waste of chocolate, really. By the time someone had even stumbled on the first little chocolate he had given up and simply sat on the floor, legs spread with the bag between his knees.
The trainee's gold eyes found the wall crawler quickly and he stared. And stared. And slowly ate a handful of M&Ms.
Then he looked down at the floor between his legs, and then at the floor under her feet.
"Is the floor lava?"

She immediately froze when his eyes met hers. Hands splayed against the wall and staring back at him. In her best rendition of a wall, she attempted with all her might to sink into it, be one with the plaster, embrace the pale white paint that was far paler then her own skin tone. But he never looked away and his question startled her from her wall persona. "Ah....no senor. " and the she continued to stare awkwardly at him.

"Oh. Spanish." Jeremy's eyes rolled upwards, breaking eye contact so he could search his grey matter for any ounce of spanish he could utter in order to carry on a conversation. "Ummm...Guacamole?" He offered, his lips splitting into a too-happy smile as he sought out eye contact once more.
"How do you say 'Why are you stuck to a wall' in spanish?"

She had no idea what the young man on the floor was doing. To her, it looked like he went from staring at her to staring at the ceiling. Perhaps for a distraction? She went about slowly sliding again when he asked for Guacamole...
"Ah no...again...I don't have any on me..." She blinked at him, wow what a bright charming smile this one had. It was too easy to give a shy smile back when she realized that this was probably one of his devious tricks! Sucker her in with M&M's and then Smile and then put her in some scary mission or something! She already made it past the m & m's stranger! She would get past the smile and on her way again!
"Ya no estoy pegada a la pared!" She mumbled before translating back, "I'm not stuck to wall...It's the only way to get around you and your...trail...of candy." She stared at him and started to move again, slow...probably unnoticeable.

"...Have what?" Hey, she spoke english too! That was pretty cool. It made talking easier. Though, for a moment, he wondered if maybe he just knew spanish so well he was quick translating. "Ya no estoy pegada a la pared!" Jeremy repeated after a moment's thought, just imagining that she had answered his question. For being a strange kid, he made a pretty good parrot. When she went on to explain herself a little more, Jeremy's mouth opened in a very noticeable 'O'. "Ah. Video game rules." He nodded as if he understood. "I gotcha, I gotcha, s'all good~" The trainee then leaned over, scooping several M&M's from the floor and to him, creating a space big enough for her to walk past. "There you go, pretty lady~" He grinned at her, a wide, fox-eyed grin. "...Want some?" His grin didn't fade, but at least he had the sense to hold out the bag of M&M's to her, instead of offering floor candy.

"You asked for Guacamole, I do not have any..." She gave him a confused look, trying to follow his brain process. It wasn't going well at all. When he mimicked her almost perfectly...without her spanish accent, her mouth dropped a little bit.
"No...No you are not a wall! Nor am I..." She waved a hand, "Well si, you are wall, and I will have to go past you but..." She was all waving the hand and flustered like.
"Video game rules?!?!" She made a small sound of distress, as now she was throughly confused and unsure if she should leave without fully understanding or having him fully understanding what she was doing. "Who is pretty!?!?" She squeaked covering her face a bit because men should not just say those things. Should she compliment him back? No that would be too embarrassing.
"¡Ah, esto me consigue no dónde!! Ningunos gracias por caramelo.." She muttered again, "I'm sorry, Ah, I don't like sweets..."

Jeremy gave the girl an odd look.
"I'm not a wall. I'm a man." Then, as if to check, he looked down at himself. "Yep. Man. Not wall. I can move, see?" He them proceeded to do his best Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man impression.
"Yes." He confirmed to her first little wail, and to the second, he gave her another look. "You are, duh. Don't you look in mirrors?" His eyes then glazed over as his offer was met with a frantic babble of spanish - which ended his earlier ponderings of his sudden knowledge of the language - and when she switched back to english, he seemed to focus again.
"Oh." Well, no wonder she didn't want to walk past the M&M trail! The candy bag disappeared into his side bag, and the trainee was suddenly on his feet, taking light steps towards the woman, leaning in close enough to prove he had no respect for personal boundaries. "What about apples? Do you like apples?"

She made small prayers in her head. Lord give her patience. Lord bless her with the knowledge of this newest challenge for she had none. Being homeschooled and kind of pushed from society beyond her cousin and that family had kept her very sheltered.
"Si, You are man." She nodded, "But you are in hallway, like wall...Obstacle." She waved her arm, "Hard to past without bumping you, so must overcome you. Like a wall." She muttered, wondering why he was flailing his arms about. He was still sitting there in the middle of the hallway.
"I do not understand what video game rules are? Is this part of the rules here? Should I..." She frowned, "Should I be following them?" Her nose scrunched up and she waved her hand again. "I've only been here a short time and their is plenty of pretty women here. I am tiny. I will be good for the work." She nodded, "But not for the looks." It made total sense.
And suddenly he was there, like a giant...like the first hunter she met coming to the Island. Why was everyone so tall on the Island? It was scary...intimidating. Her head craned back to look up at him, her hand coming out to push him from her personal and very easily popped space. "S...ir...You are...Too close." She frowned again, "I do. Fruits are good. Why do you ask?" Wait...WHY DID IT MATTER, SHE HAD THINGS TO GO DO!?!?

"Video game rules." He repeated, half turning to point at the tiny wall of candies on the floor. "Like, being unable to move past a small wall of something, even though realistically it should be easy to cross." He explained, wordy and actually sounding like he knew what he was doing. "So I made a path for you! See? Now you can cross!" Except for the fact that he was now in her personal space, of course. But...small details.
"Naaaaaaah you're a pretty girl. All girls are pretty, aaand you've got really nice hair." He reached up, still forgetting that most people had personal spaces, and lightly tugged on a small, frizzy curl of hers. "Like Molly!" Something lit up in his yellow eyes at the name; Molly, his pretty, lovely Mols.
"Nnnoooonono, not sir." Jeremy let the girl push him, and took a step back in a stumbling way that proved he was merely humouring her need for space. "I'm Jeremy! Who're you?" He offered out a tanned hand wrapped in a fingerless glove. "We should go get apples! Well, you can get an apple. I'm going to eat candy." As if he needed more sugar.

She didn't understand why he was still in her space...And touching her hair, sir that was not okay. That was not okay at all. "No I don't see, you are in the way." Her frown could only deepen so much more.
"Oh, so it is not comment just for me." She nodded, "You are what my papi calls is a flirt? All the ladies are pretty. Flirt." He would be known as the weird wall pervert. "No, I have no idea who Molly is though."
She blinked and looked at him again, hesitating. "Are you sure it's a good idea to get Apples when we should be working?" Her voice hushed, "Won't we get in trouble?"
She blinked again one more time, "Uh...Sorry...Jeremy..." Jeremy the wall pervert. "I am Noemi."

"Flirt?" Jeremy repeated, as if he had never heard the word before. "No, I'm not a flirt. Just tellin' the truth." He decided innocently, nodding as if he believed every word he was saying. He never imagined himself as flirt; he just liked to make people feel special. It was nice to point out the good in people, especially when they lived in such horror. "You should meet Molly though! She's in Mist. She's very pretty, and really nice, and gives the best back rubs!" His tone held nothing but pure reverence for the woman, his yellow eyes unfocusing dreamily. Oh Molly, his lovely Molly...
"What? No! It's totally lunch time." He snapped back to earth - or wherever Deus was, he didn't quite believe Bermuda Triangle - and grinned at her once more. "Can't get in trouble for lunch!" He stepped back from her, finally giving her some space, but instead offered out his hand again, as if expecting her to take it.
"Noemi~ Pretty name, too! Do you have a nickname?" Not that he'd use it, he was simply curious.

"Yes you...Flirt." Noemi nodded, "No, that...Not possible." She waved her hand. "Mo..Molly? Ah she is in my division! That is good." Perhaps if she met Molly, a fellow older mist, she could find out what she was suppose to do! "B...Backrubs?!!?" She didn't need any of those!
She watched as he dazed off, and thought it might be a GREAT time to escape. She started to sneak away again, moving against the wall when he shouted at her.
"L...Lunch?" She hadn't thought of lunch actually, and it was getting to that time. "This...This is true." She move to bite on one knuckle, nervously looking at him.
"If I go to lunch with you...Then I can go free?" She breathed out, "Ah...My mami and papi called me Little mimi, but Noemi is fine, si."

"You should ask her too! They're really great, very relaxing. I really like Molly." He repeated excitedly, almost - almost - forgetting about the girl. Unfortunately she would have no such luck, as she was in his crosshairs now. New best friend and all that!
"What? Of course! We have chores to do, after all." Jeremy gave her a look, but then took her by the hand to lead her to the cafeteria. "Little Mimi is a really, really cute name! I think I'll call you Mimi. Not Little Mimi because that's your parents thing, but Mimi, because it's cute."
"Do you like watermelons?"

Noemi totally thought she might be in the clear. Totally.
"Ch...Chores. yes." She muttered, "Um...Um thank you." Her face turned red, mostly because of being called cute but also because she had never had someone beyond her parents call her Mimi. It was...odd. Good odd but odd nontheless.
"I do! We use to grow them home on our farm. Hot weather, very easy to grow and pick. Good snack and healthy for you." She blinked, "Do we have watermelons here?"
