Bart looked down at the odd little creature in his left hand.
"What... Did I get myself into?" He asked, raising his unsure right hand and gently poking the creature. It jumped, and he did to. Although, quickly realizing his mistake he quickly regained his composure. He had heard of 'minipets' but had never before owned one, not that he nessisarily 'owned' the little creature in his hand.
"What... Are you?" He asked, looking at the little creature in his hands from all possible different angles.
He had found the odd little creature hidden under his bed when he was grabbing one of the papers that fell. At first he just thought it was a very large pile of dust, but now that it was in the light, it was rather clear that it was very much alive. Still, Bart had no idea what to do with it.
"Should I just put it out of it's misery?" He asked himself quietly, as usual not caring for anyone else's feeling, and definitely not thinking that the odd little creature would be injured in anyway about the subject. Alas, the little creature began to shake, Bart didn't even notice until it started making a crying sound. At fist Bart didn't realize what was going on then, fir once in his life, didn't have any idea of what to do.
"O-ok, bad plan, bad plan." He said rather panicked, looking around his dorm to see if he could find something to help. Although, the little creature began to settle down not long after Bart's plea.
"Um... Ok then? So... What do I do with you?" At first Bart thought the little creature could understand him, but Bart recalled learning that animals could sense feelings, and realized the little... Whatever it was probably sensed his hostility. Still, Bart wasn't sure what to do with it.
Bart had never owned a pet before, and as such had no idea how to care fir one. Before when he had heard of pets, he figured they were useless, and it still seemed to be that way, but if he couldn't kill it, what choice did he have?
"Well... I guess I'm going to have to live with you around... Most people give their uh... Pets names, right? Let's call you um... Silas! Yeah, yeah, that's a good, manly name!" He felt rather accomplish considering the little creature was still alive and had a name. Not that he saw any reason in having such a companion, especially since it was probably the one eating off some of his plants.
"I've got to get my homework done so you uh... Just sit there and do whatever it is that pets do." Bart said, feeling odd as he began to work on his homework again, frequently looking up at the creature to see what it was doing and to see if it was even still there.
