Jaclyn made it down the steps from the second floor to the first without issue, but now it was time to make her way through the masses of her high school. The girl dread that her class had to be at the far end of a busy hall and started to push her way through. It was hard being the new girl at school.

♚ ♛ School sucked. It was pointless to Lexia, who hadn't enjoyed school since she was five. It was just another place for her to be shunned, and she hated the fact that bothered her. She hated seeing so many of her classmates pass by her and avert their eyes, like she was the freak, instead of the other way around! If it wasn't for her boyfriend, she would have dropped out a long time ago. Robert, who had gown up with very little education, wanted to know all he could. Sure, he was teased by his classmates (and he hated every single person who did so!) but at least he could further his education...for free. He couldn't beat that price, no matter how much Lexia complained. As they walked, he took her hand, completely aware that on the few days she wasn't ditching classes, Lexia did her best to act tough and would probably punch anyone that got too close. So they walked quickly across the lawn of the school. Neither of them tripped on the steps and both pushed their way through the crowd of students upon entering the school. Lexia in particular did her share of shoving, it seemed like she was in an even worse mood than usual. For once, Robert seemed to be more relaxed, though he made sure to elbow several people that brushed against his arm. Finally, after several minutes, the two emerged beside their lockers. Lexia opened hers quickly, grabbing an English book before slamming the metal shut. That action caused Robert to look up from his own locker, a frown on his face as he asked, "What's up? You've been sour all morning. I get that you hate it here but I mean-" he paused, letting a couple of people pass by so that they weren't overheard. Still, before he could continue, Lexia interrupted to finish for him. "I know. We capped a vampire last night and saved a kid. I am happy about that. But I just...I don't know." Her expression still held a frown, but she still gave Robert a peck on the cheek before telling him, "See you in a couple hours." As vague as ever, she reentered the masses of student to find her class, leaving him to do the same.

"Shoot." Jaclyn said as she nearly dropped her book. "You can do it Jaclyn. Only a few more feet. The door is right there. Few more feet." She told herself as she tried to slip into the classroom. Once she got to the door she noticed that it was the wrong number for the classroom she needed. Taking a look around she didn't know if anyone was going to help her. She was going to be late for English. She took in a deep breath before reaching out to the nearest girl and taping her shoulder. "Excuse me. Where is this classroom." She asked holding out her schedule.

♚ ♛ Continuing her trek through the hallways, Lexia did not expect anyone to come near her, let alone touch her. Spinning to face the culprit, she prepared to yell, only to realize that she had no clue who this girl was. In a small town like Janhall, everyone knew everybody, which meant that this strange had to be new. Raising her brow, she eventually looked down to the schedule being held out to her. It showed her exact class, making her look back to the girl as she finally spoke, her tone even and serious. "This way." She beckoned for the girl to follow as she turned and continued walking. The masses of students had thinned since the start of school was drawing nearer. This meant that those who did still linger would notice Lexia, and no one stood in her way now. She walked with confidence, glaring at anyone who looked towards her or the new girl. "Where are you from?" she asked once they had made it to the correct door, her attitude lifting slightly as she remembered her boyfriend's advice of at least giving others a chance.

Jaclyn was happy that someone in the school was nice enough to help her out. She hated that she didn't know if she could trust her school mates. "Thank you very much." The girl said as she walked behind the girl. She could feel the people disappearing around her and she could finally breath. "I'm from a smaller town then his one." She answered with smile as they went through the right door. "Thank you again." She said before going up to the teacher to properly introduce herself.

♚ ♛ Raising her brow, Lexia asked, "A smaller town than this one?" She frowned, trying to understand how any other place in the world could be compared to Janhall. Still, she remained quiet as she took her seat in the class, allowing Jaclyn to introduce herself to the teacher. Once that was done, she watched the girl from where she sat, remembering her earlier school days and how awkward it was to pick a seat. There was no reason to make this girl suffer the same fate, especially when it was clear that she was as innocent as they come. "Yo, new girl. Sit by me." Lexia pointed to the seat on her left, her gaze snapped up to a boy who was approaching, silently warning him that if he sat there, he would regret it. The boy scampered away to the other side of the class, and no one else attempted to take the seat obviously reserved for Jaclyn.

Jaclyn looked over the classroom when she was told to find a spot. She didn't know anyone and she didn't want to be a pain to the girl who was nice to Jaclyn, but when the girl told her to sit down next to her. Jaclyn smiled and walked over to her. "I'm Jaclyn." Jaclyn told the girl putting her hand out and getting ready to shake hers.

♚ ♛ Keeping her expression serious even as the girl approached, she looked up when the girl introduced herself. "Pleasure, I'm sure." She was prepared to fall silent once more when the girl offered her hand. Raising her brow again, she shook it as she said, "I'm Lexia." Letting the girl sit, she wondered how someone could get to their age and still appear so bright and carefree. This girl, Jaclyn, definitely needed to be kept away from the shady types...even if that technically included Lexia, she would at least get her through her first class.

The blond haired girl pulled out a notebook and pen. Using them as the teacher made comments. The rest of the class started to make comments about her while she was focused on learning. A few boys even talked about asking her out. Jaclyn noticed none of it. This class was going to be an easy A for her since she would tell the class was not to her level yet.

♚ ♛ Leaning back in her seat as the class began, Lexia only wrote a handful of notes down. Most of the ink on her paper had turned into doodles as she tuned out most of what the teacher said. Any words that got through to her seemed to actually be from the talkative students in the room. Of course there was a buzz about the new girl; Janhall really was annoyingly small. Still, some things they said were concerning. This girl just seemed so untainted and just plain innocent that Lexia felt a strange sense of protection for her. Every person in the school had grown up alongside Lex, and she had suffered insults about her lack if magical abilities from each and every one which gave her insight to their darker sides. The last thing she wanted was for some poor new girl to get hurt.
When the class ended, she shoved her notebook into her back pack and stood. Instead of exiting the room immediately like she usually did, Lexia hung back, waiting for Jacklyn to finish packing up. "Hey, Jackie. Can I call you Jackie? Great, come with me and I'll get ya' to your next class." She didn't actually seek permission to give the girl the nickname, and instead kept herself busy by glaring at anyone who looked their way. Most averted their eyes and scurried off; only the most daring boys continued to appreciate Jacklyn's figure and features, but they too eventually left the room. Not even they would approach with Lexia giving off such an obvious vibe of "do not approach."

Jaclyn was surprised when the girl gave her a nickname. She was only called Jackie by her family. The girl walked over to her new friend. She couldn't believe that she had a new friend on the first day. "Yes, yes. Jackie is fine." She told her with a grin. "My next class is world history." The girl answered in an excited tone. World history was mostly monster and human history. "Do you have that class too?" She asked really hoping that her and her friend had similar classes together.

Trixie rode with Jack gleefully all the way to school. By this time, the effects of the World card had stopped. But flying on the back of the broom made her feel extra special. Trixie resisted with all her might to ask Jack if she she could take the wheel or in this case handle. Against her better judgement, the little let out a gleeful cackle that seemed quite unbefitting of her, but nonetheless cute. The sight of the city from above was quite something, especially in the morning lighting. "This is so much fun!" Trixie squealed as they flew over everyone to the school. "So what is this school like?" Trixie asked Jack as the approached a school-like building in the distance.

Jack, Rufus, Ivona, and NanamiJack landed on the ground. "School is a counter productive way to make people learn things. This one is not a top of the line school anyways. My aunt is a sponsor for some educational facilities, only schools with the name Vega labeled with it are any good." Jack answered her. "I need to take you to the school office." He told her as he lead the way.

"Why do you say that?" Trixie asked as they touched down on the school. She wondered why school would be counter productive rather than anything else. It was rather depressing to hear Jack just straight tell her that this school was bad and not worth anything. The only reason it stood was because of the family name. Jack then informed the little witch that she needed to be taken to the school office. For what, no one really knew. Either way, Trixie quietly followed her new brother inside the school where everyone stared her for the way she dressed. Trixie was dressed like some witch lolita girl wearing a jester hat.
