Mythos sighed. He brushed the long black hair out of his face. Mythos is tall, has very long black hair that glistens when just the slightest bit of light shines on it, narrow red demonic eyes, long black horns and the right one is shattered, wears black robes that are lined with red, a long overcoat that is black and lined with red, a blood red scarf, and has large black feathery wings. He had a sad and innocent look on his face.
"Why can't just some of Helios's light rub off into me?" Mythos asked himself. He looked down, laying his head in his hand. "If only... Ugh. Give it up self... It won't happen. Evil runs though your veins." He gripped his fist, now quiet. He grunted, tensed up, and sniffled. Tears ran down his face.
"Change isn't impossible you know. It could be hard, and it most likely will be. But if you truly want it, change is able to happen," Helios said with a smile. Helios is tall, has narrow blue eyes, semi-long gold hair, is always smiling happily, wears a white shirt lined with gold, baggy white pants that are lined with gold and have designs on the sides, a gold cape that drapes over his right shoulder and ties together in the middle with a wing clip, a silver shoulder plate that is strapped with a long and thick silver and gold strap, a white headband lined with gold and has two white wings on each end, and large feathery white wings.
Mythos looked up, shock in his eyes. "Helios? Why are you here? It's forbidden for light and dark to come near each other! You know the prophecy!"
Helios laughed. "I know. But do you honestly thing I will sit by and watch my opposite lose to the pain he is subjected to?"
Mythos sighed. He turned away. "You should sit back and watch... What happens if you get caught?"
"I'll deal with it. Either way, who in this world has more power than us?"
Mythos was silent. "I understand you wish to help, but there is no point in you doing so. I am who I am, and I end up being who I am. There is no point in changing that..."
"And you say that why?" Helios asked. He sat down next to Mythos, putting his arm around him. Mythos gasped and backed away in complete shock.
"You're insane! Breaking the most important rule!"
Helios just laughed with a smile. "Who cares about the rules when your opposite needs your help? When anyone needs your help, you break every rule needed to help them, got it?"
Mythos shook his head. "I don't get it. Why?"
"Listen. Mythos, I understand you are literally the darkness as I am the light, but I still refuse to sit by and watch you get overtaken by evil," Helios said.
"That's just the good talking in you. I don't think I have any. You've seen what I can and will do... I can't take it anymore," Mythos said. He sighed, fully turning from Helios.
"And that's just your stupidity talking. Everyone has some evil and good inside of them. And even though you and I may be the physical forms of them, that doesn't mean we can't change. We could both become opposites from how we are now in another million years or now," Helios said. He bent down to see Mythos. "Now what?" Mythos was silent. "See? Logical. You can change, and if you're going to try, then try soon."
"I'm not agreeing. I'm just silent because it's useless to try to fight you like this. I'm not going to try changing because I know it's impossible. The darkness is evil. It's everything bad, what the people fear more than anything... It's impossible for people to break their fears of me when it's just what I create! Not even me myself!"
"I understand. You--"
"No. You don't. People use you as a resolve for feeling scared of me, for needing someone to look for... You're all good. Nobody trusts me and nobody realizes what it is that I can do..." Mithos was silent after that, as was Helios.
Helios stood. He's right... People do fear him and look down on him knowing he is anything but good and he's just evil. But that's not true. He is both good and bad and I've seen it myself. He let out a sigh. "Mythos... come with me. I'll show you something that can prove to you that you can change. If you still don't believe it afterword, then you can forget all of this and never talk to me again, ok?"
Mythos sighed. "No. I know it's impossible."
"No it's not." Helios grabbed his arm and began dragging him.
"W... wait!!! You're crazy!!! This is going to conflict with everything!!!!!!!" Mythos cried out.
"I don't care! I'll deal with it later," Helios said. He continued to drag him across the ground, ignoring his insults and whatnot.
Eventually, Mythos was brought to Helios's palace. It was huge on the inside and there was so much stuff lining the hallways. It was the exact opposite of Mythos's palace, especially since it wasn't all destroyed, and it didn't have dark energy radiating from it.
"Mythos, come on. Stop fighting it already. You've got to try to do this, ok?" Helios said. Mythos sighed, and when he was let go of, he sat cross-legged on the floor with his arms crossed. Helios turned to see him. "Mythos!"
"I'm not moving from this spot!"
"Why?"
"Because even if I change, then it's going to upset our balance. I am meant to be this way."
"I know, and I'll pay for it. You're not staying this way. I won't allow it."
Mythos sighed. Helios had to once again, drag him across the floor to get him to move. Mythos, you are so much more stubborn than anything, ok? Please just quit it for once! I'm going to be helping you, and you should be happy about it.
Helios dragged Mythos down the hallway. He brought him down the stairs and down to a room in the basement. It was bright when the lights were turned on. There were no windows showing anything upstairs.
"Follow me," Helios said. "Wait. Why bother?" He continued dragging him up to a wall with a mirror on it.
"A mirror... You wanted to show me a mirror?" Mythos asked. And how will this mirror help me change?
"It's not just any old mirror. When you focus, it will show you where your heart is, and it will glow gold for light, black for evil, white for purity, and red for hatred. Stand and look in it to see where your heart stands," Helios replied. Mythos sat, unmoving. Dangit Mythos! He placed his arm under his and dragged Mythos off the floor and forced him to stand.
"Why do I have to do this anyway?" Mythos asked. He looked into the mirror and focused. Please be..... Please be..... Please be..... He was silent, but his fingers were crossed. Please be what? Why am I saying this? Huh? He looked in the mirror, and right where his heart was, it was a dark grey, but not black.
"See? Your heart isn't black yet. You're still able to change. You've got some good left in you," Helios said. Mythos stood, his mouth gaping open in shock. "Yeah. Now do you believe me?"
Mythos turned away with his eyes closed, speaking not a word more. He began walking upstairs.
"Mythos!" Helios cried out. Mythos was already gone though... Helios tried to run after him, but when he saw him, it was just the dark energy left from the teleportation. Helios sighed. "Where did you go now?"
In a far away place, Mythos was standing on rocks near the water. He was silent, the water smashing up against the rocks and spraying him just a little. He looked down at his heart. Helios's words echoed throughout his mind. He repeated them out loud. "See? Your heart isn't black yet. You're still able to change." He sighed. "Able to change, huh? How can I do that though....." He gazed up at the sky, the clouds just barely covering the moon. "Why Helios? Why are you trying to do this? Why are you trying to help me?" He flopped onto the ground, his hands behind him.
"Mythos... why do you always run off?" Helios asked himself. He looked up at the ceiling of the castle. "It takes me forever to find you... Why can't you just listen to me for once? Why can't you just accept my help. I know you're not pure evil. You're..." He was suddenly cut off.
"Helios..." a mysterious voice echoed. Helios looked around suddenly at everything around him. He began feeling a dark presence. "Darkness and light......... They have never been far from each other. They exist together....... One in the same........ Three days. Darkness is coming. You have been warned........." The voice trailed off.
"What the heck?" Helios asked. He looked around, and suddenly, the dark presence disappeared. "Darkness as in Mythos?" He trailed off. "What are you?"
