Hey gang... My name (IRL) is Matt, I'm turning 28 in a couple of weeks, and I live in Rochester, New york. I'm an anime blogger.

I was invited here, presumably because I keep a link to my blog in my signature. I've been doing this blog since November of last year, and just like I planned, I've been updating it once every Saturday with both new and old material. I place a special emphasis on anime reviews, but I also post fanfiction, roleplay material, song lyrics, lists, musings, and other written projects.

In the time that I've been doing this, I've earned about a dozen casual followers, but nothing concrete. I'd like to have this take off just a little bit, but I've never done anything like this before, so I don't really have the first clue what to do about it. I'm trying not to let it get to me, though... Soldier on, and keep posting.

So that's me... What exactly are we supposed to do here?

Epic title. But you're not 'suppose' to do anything really, it's just a hangout, you can chat or discuss things. :]

I don't know if I can survive under the pressure of those standards... But I'll try.

Welcome! I read (well, skimmed since I'm at work and it's pretty long) Your review of 'Free!'. Thank you for the leads on other animes with 'Manservice', I'll be checking them out. Please let me know if you know of any more!

I loved Free! if only for the fact that, as an Illustrator, I was art-fan-boying over their grip on human anatomy! Especially the musculature of the back, it was very impressive.

I think you might have skimmed a bit too fast... I didn't reference any other man-service shows. I referenced the movie Magic Mike for some comparisons, and a bunch of other Kyoto Animation titles that would be better described as moe fare.

If you're looking for man-service shows, though, then I'd like to point you towards Berserk, Get Backers, or any version of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Ah, looks like I did. I looked up the ones you just mentioned, but they don't really seem my type. I don't really do a whole lot of anime watching, in fact I have yet to finish Shin Sekai Yori. (From the New World), which I've found excellent and fairly compelling so far. You really should have a look at that one.

As for manservice, I'm considering watching Kuroko no Basuke
