Emily appreciated music. She really did, though despite gigs and gigs of music weighing down mightily on her computer, she always wanted more and always tried to buy bands she enjoyed. The girl rubbed her nose to get an itch as she entered her usual store slowly, examining aisles of music and movies and - oh, there were magical wonderful gaming things she yet did not own in stock.

Emily smiled as she took everything in and began sliding to the music aisle first to investigate the genres. Some bands had new albums out, and she did not want to wheedle at her father for concert tickets to buy them.

Not if she didn't have toi.

Special editions though...

Serenity was here already, headphones on, bobbing her head to the music she was listening too. Some pretty instrumental pop, actually. No lyrics at all, just music. It was a very good pallet refresher. Her white hair swayed this way and that in her ponytail, cute top swishing as well. She was dressed for the chilly weather that was happening. Long sleeved top, a jacket over it, a pair of pants, and boots that had fur lining the top. She was supposed to go ice skating today, but one of her blades needed sharpening and she'd brought it in to someone she knew who did it.

The last time she tried to do it herself, she managed to get a pretty nasty cut on her hand. Lila wasn't answering her phone today, so she assumed her girlfriend had something planned and she didn't want to be nagging.

Then the song switched to something she knew, and even though there were no lyrics, she started singing anyway, dancing around even more as the pace had picked up.

Emily was surprised by another voice nearby, but hearing a familiar song - melody or not - was too tempting a prospect, and Emily began to tap her foot, digging in some CDs before beginning to sing along, ignoring the stray look it got her. Good music was good!

Spinning around on her heel, Serenity spotted another girl bobbing to the music and reached out, grabbing her hands and tugged her close to dance with her. What? It wasn't unusual or anything was it? Even if it was, the white haired teen didn't care. She was moving and singing openly, spinning the other around with a giggle. Anyone who was singing to music they couldn't hear certainly wouldn't protest to a total stranger dragging them in for a dance, would they?

Emily squeaked in surprise momentarily, but grinned, keeping her grip and joining the other teen in a dance. There was no problem dancing to music, sung Capella or with a tune and since she didn't care if people stared, Emily didn't care that they'd begun dancing. In fact, it was kind of fun, and she didn't mind being led into dancing at all, a large grin spreading on her face as she sang.

See? Not that weird at all. The song finished up before too long, and Serenity let the other go with a huge laugh. Her hands tugged the headphones down around her neck and let the laugh die off into giggles. "Sorry," she murmured, seeing the looks they were getting. Her cheeks flushed a bit and she bit down on her lightly painted lip.

"So, you like that song, hm? I love that artist... Her music is always so lively!"

Emily waved it off cheerfully.

"No, no big. I do weird stuff apparently a lot." She grinned, though. "I know, right? Her older stuff was a little more somber but I think she was feeling out what she wanted to do. Did you get her new album?"

Emily danced a bit in place in excitement.

"Only on the day it was released. Waited in line three hours. I've got concert tickets for June already," Serenity said. She wasn't gloating, but she was really just really excited. "I'm surprising my girlfriend with them. I don't know if she likes her or not, but.." The smaller girl shrugged and giggled again. Finally, manners kicked in, and her hand was extended. "Serenity Kinderman, your fabulous dance partner, at your service."

Well, this was one really cheerful meeting! She wished more people were like this.

"I'm debating going still, depends on if the show or merch is worth it." Emily grinned, taking her hand.

"Emily Wren Wiley, at your disservice." She chuckled. "Sorry, I spent my morning bugging my brother, so I'm still a little wired. Oh, hey, thisd store DOES carry her older stuff." Emily reached, picking up an older CD, examining it.

"Mmm, looks like a good one too."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 24, 2014 5:22 pm

"This store," she said, motioning to the whole thing before putting her hands on her hips, "carries everything. Well, not vinyl records, for that you've got to go down the street, hang a left, drive about two miles, hang a right and then it's this hole in the wall shop, but still. Anything modern? This store has it." Serenity managed to say all of that in one breath. She didn't even look phased as she breathed nice and easy. Rubbing her hands together, Serenity took the headphones off and started looking through a stack of CDs.

"Oh, if you like her, then you'll adore this one." She pulled out a CD who's cover had about twelve girls on it, all holding instruments and looking positively adorable. "I love them. Especially if you don't want to listen to lyrics. It's who I'm listening to now."

"I haven't seen records in ages. I do like Vinyl. My brother wants some Metal himself."

MUSIC. Emily's focus diverted as she took the CD, examining it.

"Oooohhh, this one looks new. I wonder if they do any Trance or anything covers. Mmm." Emily held on to it, examining the CDs slowly. She wasn't terribly genre-picky, examining bits and pieces of albums and groups curiously.

"Today's definitely new music day. I'll need to drop in the record shop though.... Metal."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 24, 2014 5:39 pm

"Ah, they do covers. Nothing techno. They're just an instrumental group with no fancy things with it." She waved her hand and grinned a bit more. Metal? Well, Serenity wasn't a metal fan herself, so that was completely useless. "I'm... more pop and sometimes country, maybe even dance, but not.. metal." She just shrugged and motioned to the metal section. It had all sorts of metal, ranging from the screaming kind that made no sense to the softer kind that she sometimes liked.

"It's there, and... Ah, I really can't help..."

"I'm thinking of hitting the record store for my brother. He's a real metal head. He might like a Vinyl." Emily nodded. "I'm... not picky-- Oooh, Country? I know a few good old and new groups." She smiled, motioning.

"Dance is good too. Lots of fun when I can move!"

"Aaah, siblings. How I wished I had them sometimes. But if I did, I wouldn't have nearly what I have now. Mother and father would attempt to split the money and their time," she giggled a little more and just pushed a hand through her head. After that, she checked the watch on her wrist and clicked her tongue.

"Ah, my skates should be sharpened by now.. Sorry about this, but I really have to run and pick them up. Listen! Emily, I come here all the time, so we should meet up again soon! Next Saturday in the Java House?" She asked, looking hopeful, even as she walked backwards towards the door.

Really, she didn't want to go, but if she didn't get her skates now, she'd have to wait over the weekend.

"Yeah, you never know with parents though - skates?" Emily had absolutely no problem following the conversation, curiosity piqued, and she looked torn between following or buying CDs.

"Yeah, I can hang out - Oooo, Java House."

They had excellent baked goods. "They're tasty - hey what kind of skating do you do tiny dancer?"

Okay yeah. She was rushing to pay so she could follow.
