As swift as the wind, she glided through- hoping that he could one day fly. As soon as he dropped from the hill top, his fur was in a rush and his adrenaline felt like it could burst off the limits. Finally he landed and it was as if he were in slow motion. Anything was possible in his mind. His whole being wanted ‘more’. He wanted to fly… Til well he tripped over a ledge he hadn’t seen to jump over- and fell upon his face. “Owwwww….” Kairos grumbled and as soon as he lifted his face up, he saw something. ‘Visions’ of wildebeest. Shaking his head again, and coughing a bit to get himself together., but looking around in the case that there were wildebeest but found nothing. “Well that was different…” Nothing for miles around.

Aadia wasn’t exactly a foretuneteller. But she knew what her mother looked like during a vision and she had been following the new traditions of being an interpreter for the seers. She knew how to tell when someone was having a vision and it had been now many moons since they had been out hunting for seers. Rada came up with stalking a cheetah recently, green in color and rather ‘on the move’ type.  Today, they separated. Rada went to look in to a few rumors of a cheetah by a lake while Aadia was stuck watching this cheetah. In the general direction, she found him and he was mighty fast. “Woah…” But upon watching she saw something odd. Something she had seen in her mother. Her eyes strained to watch him yet again.

Kairos was not one to show that he was weak, on the contrary he was an ‘elf’ and with restrain for so long, freedom was now beautiful. After the run ended, he trotted about and finally came to a stop. Ears back and the wind flowing within his hair, freedom.. Then he heard sound- then felt the ground. A rumble started… But far off. Did… And when he looked around, he saw the sight of something dark. “Hello?”

The leopardess’s ears swerved and her head picked up and as soon as she did- the cheetah came trotted after. “Crap!” Then sunk her head low til the cheetah found her and smiled.

“Hello~”
“Hi….”
“Why are you hiding?”
“Ohbecauseiwasntspyingonyouoranything!?” Nervous and tripping over her words.
“Um… I hope you weren’t spying, that would be boring.” He laughed and smiled again.

“I wasn’t!”
“Well I’m glad.”

Her body cowarded to the ground. ‘Where is Rada!’ But no one came to her rescue.
“…. You seem scared… Um .. I’m sorry? Have I scared you? My apologizes I didn’t mean it.” He took an elegant bow and looked up at her. “Would you like a peace treaty. Hungry? “
“No I’m-“ Then the grumble of her stomach validated his statement.
“I guess spying took a lot out of you. Here- let’s look for something to eat.”

Her ears stayed down but she sighed and followed him. He was nice enough, sad that if he did turn out to be a seer that he would have to be knocked out and dragged to the pride. Hopefully he wasn’t. Following after him, only a few paces behind.

“Whats wrong?”
“Nothing! Just ah.. Kinda trying not to be a burden. Yea not that.”
“No your not- I can walk slower?”
“No im ok!”
“Ok…”

She was… cute, in his eyes. A smile reached him yet again, he wouldn’t be hunting for just any leopard. But she was cute, and sweet. He led her down to where he had ‘seen’ or ‘had a feeling’ the prey was. “Do you know how to hunt?”
“Oh U,mmm…”
“I’m taking that as a no?”
“I CAN!”
“….. Ok. So… What I’m going to entrust you with, is distracting them. Can you do that.”
“Of course I can! I can distract.. and I can hunt. Yea. What are we hunting?”
He looked at her almost dumbfounded and started to laugh. “Anything we find that isn’t going to be too hard to bring down. When you think about what your hunting- gotta know if you can outsmart them or outweigh them. But you are gunna have to use both see.” As he trotted up to the ridge and below was wildebeest herding… “You see with these guys, they’re way too big for comfort. We’re gunna have to outsmart them.”
“We’re gunna what. Yea. Um. With you being a tooth pick and me being short and stubby- there is no way we can take down one of those.”

“Sometimes you don’t have to. If you can make them do it themselves- Its easier right. Oh and don’t try to go for the children. Never children.”
“Why not?”
“Because those guys are beasts… and they protect their young almost as crazily as elephants and gorillas do. Which are all very very dangerous. Try to go for an older one, but older ones have survived a while, so we gotta know what will make them fall faster. Plus, children are children.”
“Ohh…”
“You are from a pride aren’t you.”
Aadia’s ears perked up. “Oh um.. “
“That’s a yes. You’re not very good at lying are you?”
“Why would I- I mean- Arg.” Tossing her gaze away from him and slowly moving down the ridge.
“Hey! Wait up- Not the place to go down-“
As Aadia slipped and fell and rolled down the ridge and ended up falling right in to the wildebeests and saw them abruptly start to erupt from their relaxing herding and off in different directions. Where there was one- there was not one falling too far behind they decided, and it wasn’t that big of a group. They didn’t take any chances and once they started to run, Kairos looked down at the girl then at the wildebeests and quickly rushed down, carefully with his footing all the way down to the leopardess.
“You alright?!”
“Owww My head.. The food!”
“I’ll go!” He spoke up as he darted away. Crossing between hooves and going for the underside of them. Yes, it was dangerous and he was well aware of getting kicked in the face by a hoove but he’d done it before. With that speed and the group being so tight knit he slipped under a bigger guy and slammed his whole weight against his leg causing three others to go down with him. Which fortunately with the ruckus they started scrambling to get up and having kicked each other a few times made it so Kairos could pin one down and give him the ‘kiss of death’. Sucking the life out of it as it tried to get up and Kairos nearly pulled up along with it until Aadia jumped on top of him and bit hard in to one of its legs.

Causing the beast to cry out and have Kairos pull more air out of it until it felt unconscious. Then he lifted himself up and the sound of snapping echoed… Birds flew away from the trees. “That is how you take down someone bigger than you.” He said proudly as he opened his eyes only to see Aadia already noming on the leg she had bitten. “You were eating him while he was alive!?”
Her ears swirved up and her eyes finally fell to him. “We’re not suppose to?”
“………”
“What?”
Then he started to laugh. “Nothing…” As he took a seat and started to peal off the fur, he watched her every now and again. Chuckling every time he saw her hacking up fur or making some ridiculous face or noise when she had fur stuck on her. Yep.. She had to be from a pride, and to boot. A royal..
